July 28, 2007 - Romeancing the Mouse in the Med Cruise Reunion thread!

We can't wait to see you Helen!

I'm sooooooooo jealous of all your planning chit chat. I hope you all have a fabulous time :grouphug:

Izzi - we could organise a UK meet for next year?

Perhaps one weekend Dave and I could come down from the north.

It could be a practise for the 2010 reunion meet ( which I hope we'll have cause I can't make the actual Baltic cruise goodvibes )

Well, just in case we don't get to New York next summer, Helen we have to see you and Dave when we come to England!

Oh, my goodness what a trip we just returned from! As JoAnn well knows nothing compares to the vacation with your family and since this was our daughter and son-in-law's first cruise it was so much fun. Also, the days before at WDW with them and our oldest grandson were just the greatest. To be on steps of City Hall in the Magic Kingdom during the Spectromagic Parade and see your daughter and grandson dancing to Sleeping Beauty theme song because he always danced with her to it when he was little, was just too sweet!

Our son-in-law said that the vacation was just the best time he has ever had. He never takes any time off work and this is the first vacation he has taken since he and our daughter have been married. They were both so relaxed and laughed and had the best time. They have called us almost every day since we got back and it's all vacation chatter!

We ended up with a totally different cruise than what we booked. Instead of an Eastern Caribbean, we had a double dip at Castaway Cay and a modified Western Caribbean with stops at Cozumel and Costa Maya. The kids did shore excursions to the ruins in Cozumel and in Costa Maya they went to some more ruins and digs and they loved it. They said they had the best guides.

They loved Palo!

I took some pictures I thought you might like:

And don't forget if you are going on a cruise, to rebook your European Cruise to save points or cash or both!

And to keep you warm for the long winter...

Happy Thanksgiving from across the pond

I have always wondered about your 'pumkin pie' as its a desert isn't it? I would have expected it to be savoury:confused3

Have fun

Yes, it is sweet and spicy (lots of nutmeg) and creamy -- I just bought two for our Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow! I made some a few years ago and it took so much effort and wasn't any better than ones I bought, so I make everything else but buy the pies!

Thank for posting those pic Harole Ann .... I would just love to get my extended family out to WDW and a cruise but it just cost sooooooooooo much and my DBIL would die before spending any money :scared1: :scared1:

Oh Harole Ann,

What wonderful pictures!! Be sure to post a few of your DD and her family plus you and Garry! Did they reroute your cruise for any particular reason?

So glad you had a fabulous time!!!!

Helen,

I never realized pumpkin pie was an "American" thing. Pumpkin is a tart vegetable but if you add sugar butter and cream plus lots of spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, etc. you wind up with a pie that is sweet and creamy.

Happy Thanksgiving to All!

We are still waiting for the CD from Photo Pass at WDW and I am so furious with them.:scared1: I ordered it November 15 as soon as we got home. They have created one problem after another. I don't think I will ever use them again unless we can get the CD before we leave the park!

Here are some pictures from the cruise, and if we ever get the CD I will send you some more family pictures with my grandson. He had such a wonderful time. He said he had as much fun as he did when he was four and if he went when he was 94 he would have just as much fun. He always makes you feel so good!

We finally got our CD yesterday from Photo Pass. I really expected to put it in the computer and see some other family looking back at me with all the problems we had with it so I was surprised to see our family with all the happy faces! Just some more wonderful memories!:dance3: . Now I want to get some prints and enlargements made for Christmas gifts.

Here are a couple of them.

The first night after dinner at Downtown Disney Ryan and I walked over to Epcot for the fireworks and had this picture taken. He has always been such a sweetheart.

This is one of my favorite pictures because we got such a kick out of Liz buying Minnie Mouse ears!
