July 28, 2007 - Romeancing the Mouse in the Med Cruise Reunion thread!

Oh Helen,

Her ears lifted!!! She is a real cutie!!!

Hope you and Dave have a very Merry Christmas. Your ears must have been ringing yesterday. We were telling the story of the "very nice Red wine!"

lol

Maryann its so funny you mentioned her ears - Dave and I keep threatening to put some blu-tak on the ends of them to weigh them down. Dave keeps saying why do I always end up with dogs with big ears lol

Belated Happy New Year Everyone!

Helen--I love the pictures of Gem. She is so cute and I like her ears!

We spent Christmas with our dd, Liz in South Carolina. This is a picture of her two boys Lex (standing) and Ryan (sitting) - who just went to WDW with us. Ginger, on Ryan's lap is our only "granddaughter"! It is always a big laugh when I pull out her picture and tell people that this is our granddaughter! As you can tell, she is aging!

Sounds like you had a nice holiday!!

Yes, pretty soon we should settle on what show you would like and figure out who is definitely coming. Check out www.playbill.com and look at their listings of current shows and tell me what your first impressions are . . .

I really dont mind what we see -

On looking at the list Rock of Ages, Wicked, West side, Shrek or a Disney one (Lion King etc) would be my first choices.

Not sure what everyone else thinks?

I'm dying to see West Side Story!!:goodvibes

Tom & I will be there too. We haven't seen Wicked yet, but we'll go with whatever you'd like to see Helen. Can't wait!!!!!!!

I've seen all of them except West Side, which hasn't opened yet (but we already have tickets -- and it looks to be wonderful!) . . .I suppose if I was suggesting something to a special visitor to New York such as yourself, Helen, I would suggest Wicked or Lion King (both exemplify, in different ways, the best Broadway has to offer)-- but then again, you could see either of those on the West End of London, too . . . think about it some more because I am sure we will all go to whatever you would like. Rock of Ages I saw off-Broadway (and knew someone in the cast, but he is not going to do it when it re-opens on Broadway because he is going to be in Hair) -- it was pure escapist entertainment (particularly if you like 80's music and guys in tight pants!) . . . Shrek was a lot of fun, and better than I expected -- but I have been hearing that box office is not good for it -- this could work in our favor and give us discounts on tickets closer to time, or it could mean that it has closed before we get there. West Side Story would be a great NYC experience, since it is set here, and will have be revamped to make it more authentic (all Sharks played by Latino actors, more speaking and singing en Espanol). Really, you can't go wrong no matter what you decide.

Add me to the list, of course, Helen!:goodvibes
Ken & I will be there........I'd see any show........Julie, tell us how WSS is when you go........I've been meaning to buy tix but haven't yet......

I was talking to Dave on the phone last night (he's working away in scotland all week)

He would really like to see Wicked as he's been reading the book.

I would love that too - if thats ok with everyone

;)

Wicked is spectacular, so you can't go wrong with that. Let me look into what it would cost depending on where you sit, and get back with you about prices.

Thanks for doing this for us Julie.

I'm sure Sallie & Jim will join us if they are free.
