July 28, 2007 - Romeancing the Mouse in the Med Cruise Reunion thread!

I have been on the Baltic thread and had a lot of reading to do. Looks like we could have our "reunion" started!

You will never believe what happened while I was at the beauty shop yesterday afternoon....DCL called and gave Garry two reservation numbers and he talked to them for quite a while and wrote down all of the information because he thought I might have changed something. When I got home I was sort of confussed as it was not the reservation number I had and why was there two of them, so I called----well, it was from our request to inventory control. They had booked two rooms, exactly what we wanted for us and for Jan and Howie. Since we already had the room we wanted I canceled ours and left Jan's. I called her right away and she changed what she had booked to what they had and now she is thrilled with her room, right at midship! .

How do you ever know what to do??? I am just so happy that we are going and that so many of our friends are going too. Lynnise is doing the westbound repo. I could not talk her into July 18. Her sister is also going with she and her mom so they will have a wonderful family vacation.

See you on the other board. Heaven knows what I will have to read when I get back from vacation because I cannot keep up with it on the iphone!

Oh, I have started the stacks of it here and piles of it there! Just when I thought Garry wouldn't notice, he had to go in the spare bedroom to look out the window and stepped right into it

Men just don't appreciate that you have to start these things early! At least I do or I will forget something important....like a pair of shoes I reallly need!!!!!!!

I'm here - its the week before half term here so really busy - but when it comes to Friday

Also spending a lot of time with Gem - she's doing the 'sit comand' and going outside I would say 50% so I'm busy mopping puddles.

Do you realise its only 268 days till July 18th and I leave for the states

Can we start thinking about our reunion on the Sunday 26th?

I am still gutted about 2010 and I think planning the Sunday will help.



I know Julie mentioned a meal and show?

Its great hearing from you - I have thought about you guys often and hoped all is well.

I'm really gutted about not being able to make the 2010 cruise - although looking at the prices to be honest I dont think we'd be able to afford it.

I love the photo in your sig with you and Sallie's family - I can't believe how big and grown up your boys look -

Oh well I'd better go - I leave for work at 11.20 and I'm no where near ready.

Helen---How is Gem doing? Does she stay in a crate during the day while you are at school? Do the other dogs like her? I bet she is growing fast. I was not surprised that you got a puppy. She is so beautiful. We just love dogs and they are so smart. Princess Jasmine knows that something is going on here even though the suitcases are still in the back room downstairs. I have clothes everywhere and each day more and more is being pulled out here and there. I know dogs have that sense about them to know that something is changing.

Izzi said there are lots of fireworks going off over there. I thought about how we talked about the dogs and their reactions and wondered if you were experiencing the fireworks as well. If you are I bet Gem is not too happy about it.

One week from today we leave and I am very excited. We have not seen our daughter and her family since April so it will be so great to see them and the vacation will be wonderful for everyone!

I really wish I was going on a cruise like you in a week -the weather is soo cold here - currently its 0 or 32 in your speak!

Next week is 5th November - bonfire night in the Uk- it celebrates when Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the houses of parliment back in 1605 (see http://www.bonfirenight.net/) so a lot of people buy fireworks and set them off at this time of year -we've heard a few so far - but the majority will be next week.

Gem has really settled well - she adores Ben and constantly plays with him - he's kinda her big buddy and looks after her. (ben really misses Sally as he used to share his bed with her - I think Gem is a good addition for him) Floss is getting more tollerent and has been seen a couple of times playing with her but she usually leaves that to Ben.

Gem is the most confident pup I've ever known. The other day she got out the front room and saw the stairs for the first time - well with hesitation she ran and climbed right up to the top and then back down again - bearing in mind how small she is and that shes at full strech to go up one - dave and I were amazed.

It is dark here at 4.30pm and currently 4 degrees or rather 39 in your terms brrr.

This weekend Dave and I have empited the contents of our loft /attic to try and make space and get rid of stuff - the whole house is upside down
I didn't realise I had 14 bin bags of clothes up there.- so todays job is sorting through those.

I'm going to have 2 piles-1 pile of clothes going to the charity shop and 1 pile for those I'll try and sell on ebay

I think it will take a while

Tonight we are going out with my Dad & friends for a Thai meal, as its his birthday today.

I must confess I've not started to think about christmas yet- other than we've booked our christmas day meal.

Oh well time for breakfast
