July 28, 2007 - Romeancing the Mouse in the Med Cruise Reunion thread!

Thanks for sharing Harole Ann! What a great photo! Are you sure that Garry wasn't in the water to get the pic????:lmao: :lmao:

It does make you wonder, doesn't it? I am sure he was on dry ground!

Helen,
If it turns out to be epilepsy (the unknown origin kind) don't worry. We had a dog with it who lived to be a ripe old age. You just have to learn not to panick during the seizures. Enjoy your trip!

Back from Adventures by disney Quest for the West Wyoming. It went beyond our expectations! Everyone should see the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone once in their life. Many of the pictures we took look fake, the background was so gorgeous. I would do another ABD in a blink. Disney gave attention to every detail and the trip was full of surprises!
I'd attach some pics but forgot how!! Can someone remind me?

Your pics are fantastic! I would love to hear details! How does the food work? How many tours were there (one a day?) On the Wonder, they were talking about Wyoming, Adventures by Disney. The sights are so beautiful!:thumbsup2

:woohoo:
I am so glad JoAnn is having a great time. How could you not have fun on a Disney ship?[/SIZE]

Will be looking forward to hearing from Julie and Andrew as they embark in their adventure!:surfweb: .

Yes, we need to hear everything! popcorn::

Having just got off, I ran into Pikey on the Wonder and he told me that he'll be in the Repo, so if you see him, tell him I said, "Hi!" I found the programing in the adult club to be better than ever. They've been working on freshening up the shows and we really had fun. We also had Jeff Civilico (sp?) a comedian/juggler and he was really funny. He's working on both ships so he'll probably be on the Repo?

I was really surprised that we liked the shorter cruise so much after sailing for 11 days last year. Seeing Castaway Cay twice and Nassau (not that great, they have to work on the excursions there!) kept us really busy. I have to recommend to everyone to consider booking this cruise, for a "quickie" :rotfl2: when you don't have time for a longer cruise. It really exceeded my expectations!

It's always nice to go back and relive previous memories and make new ones! We're really excited about going to Tortola next year and being back on a longer trip. I just hope all the kids will be able to make it with their work schedules, school schedules and boyfriends!!

Sounds like a 'date':lovestruc

Great pictures.

Anyone fancy Europe in 2010?

We've had a "date" for this one for over a year and a half!

I fancy Europe in 2010!!!!!!!!!!

The two new ships will be based in Port Canaveral and will only operate out of there, presumably on the current routes of the Magic and Wonder, the first ship will not come to at least 2011.

I have posted for some time, I think the magic will be back in Europe in the Summer of 2010. From May to August, and I am on a wait-list for end July or Early August for a Cat3.

My family leaves on Wednesday 13th for DL California, not long now, and the cruise is the 17th.

We always wondered how Garry captured this picture as to look as no one else was there! We have many photos with me & Jan with the crowds and one that Disney took of the two of this, but I love this one.

Europe in 2010 sounds great!:yay:

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

I am planning on wailisting 2010 for late July. I can't go too far into August b/c of my youngest DD, college soccer schedule. I've heard we can expect a northern European trip this time, maybe into Russia. How does that sound? Nothing is confirmed but we should be hearing soon. I tried to find out on the ship and others mentioned that they thought the Magic would be in Northern Europe.:dance3:

Europe 2010 sounds like plan!!!

Wyoming was wonderful. We checked into the Wort Hotel in Jackson Hole, in the middle of town and accessible to everything. It was the fanciest of the three hotels. We were in 3 different hotels, all first rate (except in Yellowstone, the Lodge looked like a dorm room - it was clean and neat but sparse. There was no phone and no tv in keeping with ruralness of the area - right:confused3 ) They did have cell service, though. Brooks Lake lodge in Dubois was real wild west. It had no cell service, no tv and no phone in the room. They did have 2 computers hooked to satellite in the main room that you could use for free to acess email, internet. This was our favorite hotel. When we checked into our room, they didn't give us a key. No one locked their doors! We stayed in the main lodge and some of us stayed in free standing cabins on the property. It was very informal. Let's put it this way, the part time bartender/cowboy/driver/etc. took your first name to start a tab for you and wrote it on a pad.

Meals - all but two were included. A dinner in Jackson (the guides made great suggestions and there were plenty of places to eat -upscale or fast food) and a dinner in Yellowstone. There aren't many choices in Yellowstone at all as you are really secluded. What the guides surprised us with is that they had reservations at the fancy restaurant on the property for everyone. They said it is impossible to get ressies on such short notice, but Disney magic prevailed! I guess they can't get them every time so they didn't tell us until that afternoon. Even though we paid out of pocket, everyone on the tour ate there. Brooks Lake Lodge had its own dining room and we all ate together at the same time.

Breakfast was always a buffet in the hotels. We had lunch at the hotels, a playhouse, at the upscale Yellowstone Lake Inn, and had a picnic boxed lunch (really good) at one stop along the way. Overall, the food was great. I'm a fussy eater and did not appreciate the local choices of elk, bison, and wild boar (no kidding) but I did not starve. I could always eat what the kids were having (but didn't need to). In the Wort and Yellowstone, Disney had a separate dining room just for us. In the Lodge, after the first night, there was only an older couple who were guests, and us, so they joined us. With 30 people on the tour, we filled the room.

I can't praise this trip enough. We would love to do the Alaska trip but it is only offered in the summer and we have Tortola planned. Yosemite is also on the list (it starts in Apr.) but we're in no rush. If all the ABD are this wonderful (and they just added more places today), they are going to be around a while. If you have the opportunity to go, you won't be sorry.

Thx so much for sharing! I'm really curious about these trips. With mostly food included, it sounds like a nice trip. So I guess the tour guides were good. It sounds like it was a great vacation!:dance3:
