July 28, 2007 - Romeancing the Mouse in the Med Cruise Reunion thread!

I have missed all of you so much, :grouphug: and I know it has been forever since we have chatted!

Garry is doing better with the excption of his right shoulder. It is taking much more time than we anticipated, but the doctor in Pittsburgh was very upbeat about the aneurysims. He said we will watch them and do a CT scan every six months. If there is any unusual pain in between, call 911!

Maryann, I am so sorry to read your news about your daughter. I know how sad your family must feel. The same thing happened to us with our daughter-in-law with her first pregnancy. Only time and your loving family can take care of things. Please let her and her husband know that prayers are with them as well as you and Tom. Things happen for reasons we can never explain.

Right now we are planning to travel about 5 hours to Chad's state wrestling tournament the first weekend in March. It is nearly half way to our dd who lives in Sourth Carolina. At this time she and her husband are planning to drive up for the tournament and surprise Chad. It will be the first time they have ever seen him wrestle. He is seeded third in the state. She is not telling him that she is coming so it will be a great surprise!

We are also planning a trip to South Carolina in April and hoping to get to see Lynnise on the way home! We talk often.

Hope everyone is keeping warm. I am tired of winter and just want to think of spring and warm thoughts of our last cruise.

Since we are doing the family cruise in November, I don't think we will be going again next summer, but never say never!

I will be anxious to hear about Sandra's cruise. I wonder how many of the crew will be the same?

If Gary's up to it, how about a 4day Double Dip CC on July 27th??:woohoo: I just booked this week! Ironically, my DD17 is dating a wrestler and the latest is that they have both committed to the same university!!:rolleyes1 It's great that you're seeing Lynise....say hi from us!!:grouphug:

How can you book so early for Orlando, I thought you were going in August to Orlando?? Anyway, Congrats on the Cat 3!!:woohoo:

WE GOT A SNOWDAY TODAY! Our first of the year!!:cloud9: Anyone else??:happytv:

no snow for us. :cool1: yeah! i know it's cold outside, but i've been shut in the house due to ear surgery. i hate the cold anyway so this was a perfect time for me to be in the house. i'm going to try and sneak out for a couple of hours tomorrow to go to a pampered chef party. i can't resist the stoneware and cookbooks.

I guess you didn't get the rain either Lynnise? Anyway, hope you feel better soon! We're still fighting this lingering flu here in PA!:confused3

We got a ton of snow but no snowday . . . but it was a beautiful day yesterday.

Andrew told me on another thread that he booked through Virgin Holidays and already booked everything for his August 2009 cruise/trip . . . I couldn't believe they had flights available to book that far out, too.

JoAnn, I can't believe you have only had one snow day! Our kids have had six and at least 12 - 2 hour delay days! The poor secretaries are pulling their hair because the last year I worked we had to come regular time on 2 hour delay and they gave us 5 extra vacation days. We had a very mild winter, so we made out well. It is not working out that way this year.

As for a double dip this summer, I don't think we can do that, but it sounds like fun.

Your dd boyfriend has to be a good guy if he's a wrestler! I bought Chad a t-shirt last year that said "Hold my trophies while I kiss your girlfriend". We got it at a wrestling tournament. They always have the funniest shirts. Some of them I had better not mention!:rotfl:

We have a wrestling match tomorrow---the last one before state meet which is next weekend---a big trip!:woohoo:

Thanks for the good wishes, Julie! How are those lovely girls?

Lynnise--take care of yourself!

yes! The snow was a sight for sore winter eyes!! I guess Andrew used a travel agent? I thought the rule was 11 months!
In case anyone missed..........we booked a double dip for this summer.......7/27.......our first Wonder cruise!! Who's in?

Bummer.......we would love to sail again with you guys.......I was checking out the Navigators to see what we could do in a 4 day......the sad part is that last year we had 11............:confused3

They are all well, Harole Ann -- thanks for asking.

He said he just called Virgin Holidays, a division of Virgin Atlantic, and got his flight plus car rental through them. Maybe they don't hold to the 11 month rule in the UK?

Can't do a Wonder cruise this summer, since we are are on PC 15 night (with Andrew, and Laura) followed by a 5 night Magic Double dip, since the girls start to school late this year (due to construction at their school). But we will figure out a time and place to sail again with you, J . . .

we got a little rain yesterday. we're still in a drought. i went out this afternoon to get my mail and it was about 60 degrees. we get crazy weather down here. durning the winter, one day it could be 80 degrees and the next day it's 30. no snow days here so far.

Andrew is really on top of things. I still don't have my flight back from Cali. the panama cruise.

Ok, well our snow day was long overdue......our first this winter!!:cool1:

My last grad course ended today......I'm one paper from FREEDOM!!:thumbsup2

I'm working on my Wonder DD this summer, I still have to book my air and Andrew already has his for next summer!!!:goodvibes

So Lynnise, what are you sailing on? The May cruise?? :cheer2:

Any of you "New Yorkers" watching the game..........:cool1: :thumbsup2

Of course I am!!!!!!!!!!!!

Touchdown............NYC..............:worship: come on Manning.........:goodvibes

You should hear it out on the street here in the city!!!!!!!!!!!!

GO GIANTS!!!!!

The entire city is cheering and going wild! What a game!!!!!!

so happy..................:goodvibes :worship: :thumbsup2

I always thought people were assuming a little too much -- I was SURE that the Giants were going to put in a good hard fight and lose with a respectable score if they did -- and I never counted them out for a win . . . but what a game!

What a game is right!!!! Just wait until the ticker tape parade tomorrow. The city will be electric!!!!!!!

Lucky you guys! It was a fun game to watch and I felt the other team was too overconfident.........nothing like a winning touchdown pass in the last few minutes..............priceless!!!:cloud9: I wonder how Sandra and Gerry are doing?:confused3

OK, I'll stop after this:

Here is the bar near me normally named "Brady's":

and here is a display at Eli's (not Eli Manning, Eli Zabar) also nearby -- everything is made out of cookies or bread:

No apologies necessary!:worship: :worship: :worship:

Still happy myself, however, one of my students is still depressed, he was so upset..........big Patriots fan............

American Chat :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao:

Sorry guys I couldn't resist that :lmao:

Yes I'm back from Tunisia!:beach:

I had a lovely holiday with my mam. The weather was a lot better than in the uk:thumbsup2
The hotel we stayed in was lovely and it had the most amazing ceilings and decorations. My mam and I made friends with a large group of people and we had a laugh every night.

The one thing that was uncomfortable was the amount of men trying to get you into their shop or cafe. They would all stand outside and shout at you whilst you were walking in the street. Also you would have them trying to put scarfs or beads on you and demand money. I was ok with it -my mam said I had my cross teacher stare on - but my mam found it very stressful . Saying that though it did not spoil the holiday.

I've included some photos of our holiday.

This was the ceiling and light in the reception of the hotel - I loved it
