Hey all........starting to investigate the excursions.......very encouraging.......the MED LOOKS GREAT!!;)

Thx Anna, for your plans..........I have to print everything out and look it over well..........this will be fun!!!:hourglass

OK, I totally scoped out the DCL excursions last night! Now, for decision time.........we're not "museumy" tourists..........what's not-to-be-missed on this trip??:confused3

Had a nice PM from Webmaster John re Med kits.

I just want you to know that we have asked DCL about our UK clients receiving these and we have been told that they will be sending these to the UK.

(Dreams) we have already planned that any kits that come to our offices will be sent to our clients.

If this is the case there may be a slight delay since we may need to re-package and send them, but I wanted you to know we will be making every effort to get these to all our clients in a timely manner.

John

Thats very nice of them.

had a weird thing happen. we had to hire a tutor for abby for freshman spanish...actual teacher has been awful!!!! anyway, the tutor is planning on nannying in sardinia while we are cruising!!! i hate to admit it, but i hadn't heard of sardinia before this opportunity! thought i'd throw that one out there!!

off to basketball!

.Yes it helps us all here in the UK

We're busy checking out the excursions and shoretrips site to see what's available. Is anyone else concerned about 5 port days in a row. Which day are you planning on being more "low key?":confused3

Hi,

We're not planning on going to Rome - its just too far away from the port. I think most people will be going there so we will have the magic to ourselves;)

HAs anyone checked in online for this cruise - I tried but it wont let me - says I have to come back end of April?
:rolleyes1

Take care
x

Yes, very concerned. I don't want it to be an over-kill.

We are looking/considering a short excursion in Obia (4 - 4 .5 hours). We want to relax a bit on the Magic and catch our breath here and there, wherever/whenever we can. We know we cannot see it all so we will need to pick out one or two excursions that are 4 - 5 hour range. Perhaps another one either in France or Florence. Not sure yet.:confused3

Hi Andrew,
I was wondering if you had any London hotels that you would recommend? We booked our flight with BA with a stopover in London for about 4 days, then on to Barcelona the night of the 26th. I'm looking for a hotel or B&B for two (double ensuite room). Would like it to be near a tube station so we don't have to walk far with luggage, but then again, we just might do one of those airport shuttles that take you directly to your hotel. Seems like they would be about the same price as doing the Heathrow Express. Would be nice to stay at a B&B or small luxury type hotel with more of the cozy but elegant and friendly staff who like to chat, all for around £100. Also, what are your top 4 recommendations of places to go see? I'm not a museum type person and I think Stone Henge has to be on the list. Love to see castles but don't know if there are many in London proper if any. Ok, one more question, favorite pubs to eat at?

thanks so much. Anyone else have any recommendations?

If you are coming into Heathrow then the train is the Heathrow express to Paddington, or Tube Piccadilly line to cental London, Knightsbridge, (harrods) Piccadilly Curcus.

For luggage the best would be the Heathrow express and stay in the Paddington area.

That direct area is generally safe, and easy connections on the Tube to Oxford street shopping, West end, London Eye, Tower, Parliament Buckingham house etc.

Paddington has four tube lines Circle, District, Bakerloo and Hammersmith and city. Any quoted above would be less than 15 mins, Tower maybe 20mins.

Now there are so many hotels I cannot quote but the following links might help

Close to Paddington, Queensway, Bayswater, Lancaster Gate,

Do we need to carry our passports when we leave the ship? I thought the ship id would be sufficient but my husband feels we need to have our passports with us at all times.

Thanks for the tips. Makes sense, find a place around Paddington Station.
These links are helpful.
