Night all.

Rest up and take it easy.

Hope your head feels better tomorrow

Good night
;)

As the days for the final payment drew closer we reviewed where we were at, the airfare had held constant - a lot for a family of 5, the excursion prices were way higher than we expected, and the mobility impaired person in our party was locked out of so many excursions that the trip wasn't worth it. With an estimated cost of almost US$6000 per person, we just can't do it, so we cancilled our reservation. So there are 3 cabins available on deck 6. We hope all of you have a wonderful, wonderful time!

Kidcoos2 - sending you pixiedust: for you for the rest of the day and Monday. I had the same problem.

Thanks to everyone for their good wishes. I love having this DIS support group :cheer2: . I guess we're all just lucky to be so spoiled that we can go on a trip like this! Or our kids are so spoiled - never had trips like this when I was a kid - I had to walk to school uphill both ways :rotfl2:

And we are off to Barcelona in 86 days. We got everything we wanted this morning as far as tours are concerned. Not the first choice night at Palo, but we are quite happy. Will be making arrangements to celebrate our son's 18th birthday at dinner on 7/28.:dance3: What a great way for him to start a trip. Really looking forward to meeting some of you during the cruise. Be well everyone and see you in 90 days.

How do you get the pixie dust smiley? It's not one of my choices.

Sad to read you are droping out - family, finances and other priorities, etc. first. We understand completely. We are a family of five and this is a big deal for us. Air fare was a killer. :scared:

Thank you for your well wishes and good luck to you. Hope you get to cruise soon.

Thanks sitting here with a splitting headache, Doctor said I have high blood pressue currnetly so, now will take it easy.

I know how you feel ;) - I don't have high blood pressure but I had a splitting headache this morning from not sleeping and being in front of the computer does not help.

Get some very much needed, deserved rest. Hope you feel better. I think we have all acoomplished a lot.

I am also liking the idea of this Rainforest Room - too bad we did not look into it for our West Coast cruise where the weather was not cooperating and we could have taken advantage of it.

I am hoping for great weather so I can sit/lie (lay?) down on a lounge chair on sea days (perhaps w/a nice tropical drink).

In the bottom left hand corner of the smiles...there is a BLUE "More". You need to click that to get a lot more simles.

If you have a pop-up blocker...then you need to hold down the CONTROL key on your keyboard to temporarily turn off the POP UP BLOCKER.

Hope that helps!!

Lots and Lots of cute smiles there

Those are awesome!

Hey all...........thx to Andrew for the excursion postings........i believe i am going with at least one other party for almost all of my excursions which will be cool!!(Sorry about the headache, I, of course, overslept so I have no headache but I'm tired!):surfweb:

I didn't get what I wanted in Palo but I did make one ressie for dinner. I also booked a massage on the last sea day but, again, the options were very limited! Overall, I definitely wouldn't have arranged everything this early if not for this thread.......thx to all for the tips!:grouphug:

Sorry to lose more DISers but I completely understand about the price concerns......we're "biting the bullet" but I don't think we'll be this extravagant for awhile!:sad2:

Everyone...........get some sleep!;) :lmao:

Hi Helen - were you the one who was downloading some foreign language cd's into your ipod? If so - how's that working for you? Have you had a chance to listen? Just wondering as I'm downloading some French cd's into my iTune library right now. Is it easy to pick up? Just curious.

Hi Laura

Good morning

Yes I have downloaded some langauage CDs on my ipod.

However I went to a 15 week evening course for Spanish, and I got my GCSE in French. So When I'm listening to them I'm refreshing what I learnt - if that makes sense.

For Spanish - this is a really good website - simple useful phrases
http://www.bbc.co.uk/languages/spanish/talk/

http://www.donquijote.org/spanishlanguage/numbers/numbers1.asp

http://www.spanishspanish.com/food1listen.html

For French
http://www.bbc.co.uk/languages/french/

For Italian
http://www.bbc.co.uk/languages/italian/

I've not started any Italian but might look at a few basic phrases before I go. I know I'llprobably end up inventiing a new language muddling all 3 languages together:headache:

From what I've read on Cruise critic Not many people in Barcelona speak English.

Have fun
;)
