I have to log off for awhile, my carpal tunnel syndrome is acting up. I'm not sure if it's all the typing on the board or because now we have a laptop and I'm using it more.

I may lurk later, because I'm addicted, but I'll try not to type.
If DH finds out he's not going to be very happy with me , I've had this before and it affects everything I do.

Hope you feel better, Sandra--I know that pain and it is not fun . Too much typing for sure. We got a new computer last night so the new keyboard has a different touch, and I feel like a novice! It could soon give me pain!

If anyone else is booked for the Ultimate Rome Experience w/DCL (I should have looked on page 1), did you receive a letter today from DCL?

It has been modified so we experience all the great things.

Basically it went from 10 - 10 1/2 hours to 11 - 11 1/2 hours.

While lunch will be provided, this may not take place in a local restaurant (I am thinking something quicker and not a 1 1/2 hr. lunch?)

Time permitting, you will have 30 mins. free time for shopping.

If Mass is taking place in St. Peter's Basilica, entrance may be restricted. In addition, if your guide forsees that the line to visit the St. Peter's Basilica is longer than 45 mins., the interior visit may be cancelled. However, guests will be provided more time to shop.

There are an addt'l two paragraphs. I have a feeling they are listening or making changes to what they are experiencing.

I got the letter as well. I think it's a matter of making the description reflect the reality. My one disappointment is the reduction in shopping time from the originally mentioned 2 hours - not that I was planning to shop, but I figured that would be enough time for me to stroll over to the Pantheon. Still, it remains the best choice for what I'm looking for I think.

As for lunch, I'm picturing them handing us sandwiches to eat as we stroll along the charming cobblestoned streets with uneven surfaces. No worries - I'll have plenty of other great meals on the trip. The extended time makes me glad I went for late dining.

I've been thinking that someone should be keeping track of who is participating in the Fish Extenders. So that we will all have enough gifts to pass out. So if you are participating please let me know on the board or by PM. I'll keep a list and post it.

Laptops are terrible for your wrists. Best is an ergonomic split keyboard. Switched to that and my wrist problems were gone within days and never returned.

For your room? I'm allergic to sulfites, probably shouldn't drink wine, but I really enjoy it. I'll probably do the tastings, but avoid the dinner package, although I could just bring my inhaler . . . (take meds so you can drink alcohol, there is something wrong with that!!)!!

A few of the cruisers ran into probs getting into and out of Heathrow due to the bombings, it is so sad and pathetic. glad they were able to stop them!!

It does cause distruption.

Its always best to let them test things out and now DCL have had a few they can modify from the previous cruisers feedback.

Lunch isnt important there is plenty of food on the Magic, you need to max time in Rome.

Yes confirmation the same time,

the copy and paste was with help of Kelsie at Dreams.


At this point I would like to acknowledge the great help of Kelsie and Dreams in supporting me in obtaining the group brunch she did a lot of work for me, ( again) she was the one who also obtained a great room for me on the E/bound repo in 2008, when the cruise was released and the sales went mad.
