Hi Helen,

How are you and Dave doing with all the nonsense going on in London?

Maryann

Hi Maryann,

To be honest it has not effected us at all - we are at the other end of the country. We are actually much closer to Scotland than London.

It is scary though -however the police seem to be doing there job -thank god.

Do you have plans for the weekend?

Just the usual, gardening, laundry....:guilty:
There is a fireworks show down at the beach tomorrow night. I might talk DH into going. It will be so crowded though. How about you?

Are you near Chester at all? DD & DS toured Chester and the Lake District and Grasmere before they went on to Scotland.

It is actually really nice as its the first weekend in ages both Dave and myself are home - we have no plans:goodvibes

I'm higher up the country than chester and the lakes and on the East rather than the west ;)

I am one up on that already ordered four Wines/Champagne to 'taste'.

DH gave 5 of these wines to me for Mother's Day! We've tried 3 of them and they were great.

Did you find out the names of the tasting wines? DH loves to try different wines all the time. If you know them, can you post please?

Maryann

I'm not sure which wines will be at the tastings. They haven't been the same as the regular wine package in the past but this is the Med and they are new wines so who knows.

Good afternoon Lisa:

I was able to confirm the following reservation at the PALO Private Room:

If you need additional assistance please let me know.

Enjoy your cruise!

Bon Voyage!

(The main part of the confirmation won't paste....but we are confirmed!)

WE believe you, Thanks again,

My son's girlfriend lives on the block and she could not go home after taking her new puppy to the vet. Guess where they went - back to my home. Luckily everything is oaky - the main thing.

Glad to hear they are OK. How did the puppy do in the new surroundings. Did your house survive?

Sounds like we could get a group together for an early morning walk round the ship a couple of times during the trip. That would be really nice.

I'm willing to try. I was thinking about digging out the Nordic Track and exercising so I don't embarass myself and not be able to make it around the ship.

I love the second one w/the flags. Wendy and I were trying to buy something representing each country at Michael's Craft store here, but we could not get all of them. I like the Flag idea.

I stole the idea from Helen (I think).

You'll never guess what I've been doing today. I'm trying to learn at least polite words, questions, and numbers in Spanish. I found a site that helps you recognize words and pronounce them. I feel like I am the student now. I'd rather be on the other side of the desk!:lmao: :lmao:

Maryann

WHat website did you find? DH and I were thinking of trying to learn some words or phrases before the trip.

I went to AC Moore (the local craft store chain) they sell decent quality T-Shirts in every conceivable color for $2.00 each. THe ONLY color they were out of in my size was ...... you guessed it, lime green. Maybe there are other people from this area lurking on the boards and they bought up all the lime green shirts. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Oh well its midnight here - I'd better think about getting to bed.

Take care all

Good night Izzi.

Do you think we will have any cruisers from Spain? I find it odd that not one has found the disbaords.

Yes, on my cruise, one couple and child as his wife cannot speak English as he can!!

Also we have holland people well then another English join with us too.

Seem last mins booking and don't think anyone got upgrade well.

Sasndra - the puppy is fine. Her puppy and mine will stary playing around and not sure if they are playing rough/growling or what so I separate them once in a while. The puppy sleeps a lot and i give them a break by putting puppy in crate to sleep. I just need to vacumun more often.

I thought it was Helen too that started the flag door decoration so I did not comment on it. They are both great.

Today they are in Edinburgh, Then on to Scone Palace & Culloden, and finally Loch Ness and Glen Coe. After that they are on to Ireland. They both said that Scotland is absolutely beautiful. You are lucky to live in such a place.

Maryann

Wow, as We are living in Edinburgh and shame about the weather seem not very good, worst June month, lots of raining, terrible weather:sad2: . Anyway, Loch Ness at Inverness is beautiful country well. Then Ireland as we have some friend lives there well. Great country too.

Thanks, we'll give it a try. Although I am really terrible at languages. We'll see how it goes. When I went to China to pick up DD she was 3 1/2 years old, and the interpreter tried to teach me to say "I love you" and "I'm your mommy". After 45 minutes, in the taxi on the way to the orphange, he finally said, "Just let me tell her." :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

If anyone else is booked for the Ultimate Rome Experience w/DCL (I should have looked on page 1), did you receive a letter today from DCL?

It has been modified so we experience all the great things.

Basically it went from 10 - 10 1/2 hours to 11 - 11 1/2 hours.

While lunch will be provided, this may not take place in a local restaurant (I am thinking something quicker and not a 1 1/2 hr. lunch?)

Time permitting, you will have 30 mins. free time for shopping.

If Mass is taking place in St. Peter's Basilica, entrance may be restricted. In addition, if your guide forsees that the line to visit the St. Peter's Basilica is longer than 45 mins., the interior visit may be cancelled. However, guests will be provided more time to shop.

There are an addt'l two paragraphs. I have a feeling they are listening or making changes to what they are experiencing.

I hope it's a good thing.

Mary Jo (or anyone who knows the answer!);

I don't recall reading anything until recently about the grab bag at the Dismeet -- as you might recall, I am a fairly recent interloper on this cruise. Sounds like fun, though -- do we sign up for this or just show up with the bag?

Thanks for the info --

DD13 desperately wants a dog. But DS15 has severe allergies to lots of things including dogs. I'm willing to let her have a poodle but DH says she's not responsible enough yet. Oh, well, someday.

Just show up at the DisMeet. If you bring one, take one. It's $15 - $20. reflecting the town, city, area you live in. I think you're supposed to put the town on the outside of the bag. Please correct this if it is wrong.

Thank you, Sandra -- I will definitely do this.

I've been thinking that someone should be keeping track of who is participating in the Fish Extenders. So that we will all have enough gifts to pass out. So if you are participating please let me know on the board or by PM. I'll keep a list and post it.

Hello Helen (Mrs Jobba1)

How are you?

Did I tell you about the stranger dog was standing outside my door??

(Well he was melt my heart) My daughter was telling me that the dog was outside at the door well i went and see the friendly dog so I just leave it then at later I checked it and still there, that make me wonder. So I took him in my house turned out he was a lovely dog, very good manner and very healthy dog. He never once barking?? I phoned police and they asked me to keep it over night so I decided to keep him for one night and he was so lovely dog as he is brown ginger cross collie and I took the photos of him. Next day, I phoned dog warden to take him. Dog warden came and took him away, I was so guilty and know that he was not my dog but beautiful dog. After that, I was thinking so I decided to phoned dog and cat's home and they told me that owner had been phoning and they picked up the dog. Oh bless them!! that make me feel happy now. They was telling me to thank me for phoning the warden dog!!

Happy news is it??

Unless YOU are ready for a dog/another responsibility, do not purchase one. That is exactly what happened to us. She is attached to me first and then my dh. The kids hardly do anything unless no one is home. They are great, I love mine but they need lots of attention, time, money and love

When dh gets mad sometimes if she has accidents, etc. I tell him, I will throw him out before I would do anything with "sasha" (he is kidding ;) )
