Julie- these are so cool - always wanted to try rock climbing - was it fun? And your DD looks like a mini-me. How fun is that! The pictures are beautiful - thanks for sharing. Didn't want to take up too much space so I only copied one. But love the last one - your DD doesn't look shy! Good for you!

Laura, you will meet Meredith and discover that she is far from shy! She does look quite a lot like I did as a little girl (there is a framed picture of me at about 6 here that everyone always thinks is a picture of her), but then again my oldest is a redhead and my middle is a blonde, so at some point I had to get a brunette.

Rock climbing was awesome. I did the easiest climb the first time (I think that's when that pic of me was taken), then worked on two harder ones. I'm not afraid of heights, but my upper body strength is apparently wimpy, since the muscles in my arms and hands would literally shake and tremble for quite a while afterwards -- it wasn't easy. It feels great to make it up to ring the bell, though, and then rappel down. The people holding your safety rope were really good to yell up suggestions when you would feel you were stuck (move the right foot up until you feel something!)since obviously you can't see your feet most of the time.

The first is a ship's picture (we were RCCL Explorer of the Seas) taken when my youngest daughter and I were getting off the ship in San Juan. The second is of me (or shall I say, a less-than-flattering view of part of me?) getting to the top in rock climbing (we did it three times and loved it -- boy, do you realize how high up you are when you get to the top of that wall on deck 14!). The third is my daughter at Horseshoe beach, Bermuda (note the pink sand and the bad weather). The last is of my daughter in St. Martin.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Wanna know what I did. I screamed at them to go to their rooms and then I turned around and LEFT THE HOUSE slamming the front door behind me. I got in the car and drove round the block for 10 mins to calm down
It's okay...at least you care..............:grouphug:

To which one? You've got a revolving tag - Andrew's moves but yours is ever-changing! :lmao:

Anyone ever watch that movie - The Never-Ending Story? That's JoAnn - the never-ending tag! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:
What can I say, I'm witty!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :cutie:

I know it sounds really whingy and it's not supposed to but.......... this is my 3rd DCL cruise and when I go next time I really, really, really want to get a suite. However every time my TA has tried to get one for our previous cruises they always seem to have gone already :sad2: So how do these folks get the cat 3 suites so quickly :confused3 :confused3
Maybe it depends who your travel agent is??:confused3

Can't remember why I quoted this one - no doubt some witty elusive comment that flew away! Me neither!!:rotfl:

I tried rock climbing on my last cruise (another line) and IT WAS REALLY HARD AND SCARY!!

So far for the Med cruise and our very first cruise we used Tim Larrison of CruisinCo. For our Xmas special we booked onboard and transferred across to Tim afterwards. When we booked onboard for Xmas it was in April 2005 for sailing Dec 2006 and we were lucky to get a cat 4 stateroom. I guess our problem we can only go during peak holiday times when the kids are out of school

I am limited to school holidays as well, I use Dreams unlimited as TA.

Probably that's the hardest time to get what you want! Maybe this travel agent has more connections b/c of the DISboards?? (Dreams Unlimited?):confused3

Heeelllloooooooo, I'm a teacher............the only part of my job that's tough is that I HAVE TO TRAVEL DURING SCHOOL HOLIDAYS, I don't mind except that prices kill us..........back when my kids were young and I didn't work, it was MUCH CHEAPER..............still, my job is worth the sacrifice................look, I'm actually missing my job!!! :confused3 :rotfl: :confused3

Great pictures - and is that a Mickey shirt as well??
We are going on a RCL cruise at Christmas - looking forward to the rock climbing and skating.

Sounds like Disney could make a film out of that now!

Pirates of the Caribbean 4:Pirates and phantoms and sandpaper toilet paper,I will help them out with a script,-if they 'have nothing to go on', IE didn't pre order.
a bit of potty humor . . .

Can't remember why I quoted this one - no doubt some witty elusive comment that flew away!

Cool one! :woohoo: :woohoo:

I bet it scared your little ones and they said - where's mom going?

Kudos to you for leaving - I probably would have just played the screaming shrew and therefore added to their mental image of "mom has issues" ( I love that saying) :rotfl2:

You are so funny - I always forget what I was going to say too!

I am also prone to being the screaming shrew - when they were little (8, 9 11 or so) I opened up a closet door and all their toys came flying out at me - at which point I screamed something about their <edited> toys - they sure do remember that one! They knew I was mad but they will never let me down there - maybe I had forgotten to take my medication? Can't really remember.:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Prices in school holidays are far too high.
