BE READY FOR YOUR CRUISE WITH NO ROLLING AT HOME OR ON THE CRUISE!!:rotfl:

Would you believe I have these!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:
We go camping quite a bit, and I got them just in case there were none in the campground restroom. :rolleyes1

LOL - I also have a Redhead (true one at that - minus the dot-to-dot freckles), Megan was a blonde at birth to 5 but is now a brunette and April was almost a towhead but is now dishwater blonde so I have the prerequisites for a homemade bar joke. You know the kind - A blonde, a redhead and a brunette walk into a bar............:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

TRUE STORY: Do not attempt this - they will not find it funny.

One day we went to Friday's for lunch. DH dropped me off (DH is a blonde - was a towhead in childhoold) in front as the line was long. We could sit near the bar if we wanted to and be sat right away - since we were hungry I said yes. So I told the waitress and the hostess - "If a 6-ft tall blonde with a redhead, brunette and a blonde walk into the bar send them my way......."she said "Yeah right -and if Prince charming walks in with my kids - I'll be quitting on the spot" :rotfl:

Can you imagine her  when 5 minutes later they did? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I rolled with laughter of course but for some reason the kids -especially the redhead - didn't think it was sooo funny. :confused3 :rotfl:

The waitress about died on the spot - thought I was kidding.

Needless to say, I cracked up about it but they still don't. :lmao:
:lmao: :lmao: Hilarious! Well, I think it's funny! :rotfl2:

Well, I hadn't expected to visit here at all for the next few days (no chance at the 10,000) - as I'm up at Evergreen Lodge in Yosemite for a wedding. Haven't been here for a while - I should have known things have changed. In addition to the obligatory old games, jigsaw puzzles and hiking/nature magazines, the recreation room has wireless.

Now, I was a good boy, and left my laptop at home. But darn if they didn't also have three public terminals, so here I am. Of course, you're only supposed to use them for 20 minutes at a stretch, and the connection speed is slow, but I figure it's better to drop in now and then instead of dealing with 200+ pages on Sunday night or Monday:)

Anyway, good luck to whoever snags 10,000. Condolences to Lynn. And everyone enjoy your weekend.

Trivial pursuit is calling (how non-tech)....

You want to know what I'm begining to get worried about ................ and this really is a bit scary .................... what am I going to do every evening when I get back from the cruise and I've got no thread to go to, no people to post with, no ketchup to do......oh the wailing and moaning I'm going to be a pathetic basket case !!!!!!!
It's addicting, isn't it!

can we fluff to 10,000

I'm tryin' :rolleyes1

Actually, I'm working my way backwards. Sometimes I can get on during the day at work, but our firewall block a lot of sites with images, so I have to wait until I come home to see them.

Ahhhh ... you're at my favorite place in the whole world! Where is evergreen lodge? Say hi to Half Dome for me. :)

Conrats whoever got it!

JoAnn - You crack me up with that HELLOOO????

:)

OK back to ketchup
Me too - it always makes me :rotfl:

:rotfl: :rotfl: Wanna know what I did. I screamed at them to go to their rooms and then I turned around and LEFT THE HOUSE slamming the front door behind me. I got in the car and drove round the block for 10 mins to calm down
I remember those days :::shudder::: It does get better... eventually. :)

The first is a ship's picture (we were RCCL Explorer of the Seas) taken when my youngest daughter and I were getting off the ship in San Juan. The second is of me (or shall I say, a less-than-flattering view of part of me?) getting to the top in rock climbing (we did it three times and loved it -- boy, do you realize how high up you are when you get to the top of that wall on deck 14!). The third is my daughter at Horseshoe beach, Bermuda (note the pink sand and the bad weather). The last is of my daughter in St. Martin.

I so wish I had been on that cruise! I was with the group of people who were waiting in San Pedro the first time the Magic came into port. I got pics of it in the distance, and then went down to Ports O' Call & heard the greeting & saw everyone standing there. I did take some pics, & posted them on whatever thread was going on at the time. :)

OK, we all know the DCL lurkers are reading this..........................AND YOU KNOW WE'LL BE BACK.............some of us will book onboard............SOOOO....how about alittle acknowledgement??..............WE REALLY DO EXIST.....and we promise to participate in pool games..........50s, 60s, 70s & 80s Night.........Match Your Mate..............All the "tastings".............Pirate Night, Deck Parties and Sailaways..............Let's face it, YOU NEED US TO MAKE THIS SHIP "SAIL".......................:wave2: :rockband: party: :jumping1: :sail: :sail: :sail:

Yup - I've talked to a few before & they DO read the DIS. :goodvibes

Thanks! And I actually misread the numbers!! Tells, you what kind of evening I have been having! Just had an acid reflux attack from eating 2 strawberries:sad1: ! Had to make a quick run for some relief!! That is no fun!

:goodvibes: and hope you feel better. I hate Acid Reflux! :flower3:

:lmao: :lmao: Hilarious! Well, I think it's funny! :rotfl2:

I think so - and so does the youngest (my technical blonde - figures :lmao: ) - the other 2 don't think so - they do this:  and  :rotfl2:

 Dan - thanks for checking in and making us jealous! I have NEVER been there. So jealous!

OMG! I misread Julies' post - NO ONE and I mean NO ONE - PLEASE DO NOT TELL YOUNGEST DD ABOUT THIS PINK BEACH! Or else I will send you all the bill for that cruise. Pink is her favorite color! :worried: :sad2:

You want to hear something sadder? I was on that cruise and didn't even participate! :scared1: (I was a bit shy back then. :rotfl2: )

Hey MJ - I would love to see a picture of that. I didn't get up in time to see it come in and I have NEVER seen any. Wow - what a small world huh? Thought that I would neve see anything like that. It was kinda hard to follow the thread after. Guess I should have!

A little late, but before saying good night - I had a very busy day.

A little background, my oldest son had applied for a f/t job/position where my brother works and it was perfect timing - tuition not due for about 2 months which left some time for being called. Once before the opportunity came but I had just paid the semester.

He rec'd a call on Wed. to come in for an interview on Thursday. Today, Friday, he got the call to go in Monday for his paper work to be processed (id, bc, college transcript, etc.). They will probably send him the same day or the next day, Tuesday, for drug/urine test. Not sure when they do physical. They immeditately go into a 5 week training period/certification courses. 160 people applied for 10/12 positiions. Of course we knew, if he got called - he would not be able to cruise with us (I think mainly because of the training progress and these positions don't open up often).

I have been on the phone most of the day with my ds (who got the call while at his p/t job, my brother, DCL, DVC and Continental to see what my/our options are. We were even considering bringing my niece (only because my brother brought it up). I don't think this will be possible for various reasons.

I will wait til Wed., Thursday the latest and will then probably cancel his reservation and will have to rearrange my family in the two cabins. I really wish he could do both - but this opportunity might not come for another year again and it might not come at a good time either.

College has been and is a priority - but at the rate he is going, he will never finish. The plan is to try to take a class in the evening (even if he has to skip a semester until he knows what shift/hours he will have). We did not spend a ton of money and spent four years in college without trying to go the distance.

Thanks for listening and stay tuned.

There can always be other cruises - good luck to him.

Go for thepirate: JoAnn!

congrats Harole Ann!!

Well, I guess I'll miss the 10,000 - have to go to sleep now, leave the house at 6:45 for softball and won't be home until 4:30 or so - then I have to get ready for a team BBQ - 30 people or so
So, good luck to the 10,000 pirate seekers in DISland

Passport Watch -- I keep forgetting to answer this -- I just made it up. It just means that I am on watch for the passports to come in. I wish there was something that would track passports - like FedEx.

Holy Cow! I've done something like that before. I was supposed to meet a fellow DISer @ Disneyland, and when we came down to it I was too shy to go up & meet her. Can't believe I did that!!

Anyway...

Here's some pics of the San Pedro Harbor & a map that shows where it is in conjunction to the airports & Disneyland:

Here's a pic that I took of Bill, Tracy, Jenn, & Peter, and then later the Magic as it leaves port.

Looks like the other pics disappeared, so I'll put them here, if you don't mind:

This is taken from a vista point near Pt. Fermin, looking south. The Magic is getting ready to pass through the breakwater.
