One day we went to Friday's for lunch. DH dropped me off (DH is a blonde - was a towhead in childhoold) in front as the line was long. We could sit near the bar if we wanted to and be sat right away - since we were hungry I said yes. So I told the waitress and the hostess - "If a 6-ft tall blonde with a redhead, brunette and a blonde walk into the bar send them my way......."she said "Yeah right -and if Prince charming walks in with my kids - I'll be quitting on the spot"
Can you imagine herwhen 5 minutes later they did?
The waitress about died on the spot - thought I was kidding.

Well, I hadn't expected to visit here at all for the next few days (no chance at the 10,000) - as I'm up at Evergreen Lodge in Yosemite for a wedding. Haven't been here for a while - I should have known things have changed. In addition to the obligatory old games, jigsaw puzzles and hiking/nature magazines, the recreation room has wireless.
Now, I was a good boy, and left my laptop at home. But darn if they didn't also have three public terminals, so here I am. Of course, you're only supposed to use them for 20 minutes at a stretch, and the connection speed is slow, but I figure it's better to drop in now and then instead of dealing with 200+ pages on Sunday night or Monday
Anyway, good luck to whoever snags 10,000. Condolences to Lynn. And everyone enjoy your weekend.

These are beautiful pics!!! I love the pic of your dd on the pink beach - I thought it was the lighting. And, she looks so carefree in the last picture. Looks like you guys really had a nice time.The first is a ship's picture (we were RCCL Explorer of the Seas) taken when my youngest daughter and I were getting off the ship in San Juan. The second is of me (or shall I say, a less-than-flattering view of part of me?) getting to the top in rock climbing (we did it three times and loved it -- boy, do you realize how high up you are when you get to the top of that wall on deck 14!). The third is my daughter at Horseshoe beach, Bermuda (note the pink sand and the bad weather). The last is of my daughter in St. Martin.
I so wish I had been on that cruise! I was with the group of people who were waiting in San Pedro the first time the Magic came into port. I got pics of it in the distance, and then went down to Ports O' Call & heard the greeting & saw everyone standing there. I did take some pics, & posted them on whatever thread was going on at the time.DIS MEET ON NAVIGATORS- 12 NOON.
