I'm wondering the same thing. They put the Med out a year and a half before, and Mexico about the same. So probably by March we should know. The suspense is killing me!

I think I heard that the info is coming sometime this fall.................I'm just curious to hear.........also, current cruisers were sharing what they heard onboard when they booked the Med, the few months before the official announcement. We could start a rumor thread on the main forum?popcorn::

Hey all - we got back at midnight on Wednesday/Thursday. What a great trip!! We ended up being gone 3 1/2 weeks - time in Barcelona before cruise and time in Paris and Amsterdam after the cruise. Being home is a cruel slap!!

It was great to meet everyone that I had a chance to meet. We did mostly stay together as a family - that tends to be how we are. But, it was fun recognizing faces. I enjoyed tequila tasting with Joanne, her husband and two of her girls. Also enjoyed the last wine tasting with them and with Sandra, her husband and Julie. Sorry I missed MaryJo's daughter in her pirate costume. What is Andrew's job anyway??

I am so sorry for Wendy's loss. Seemed like it was only a matter of time before he got home - life is so precious.

We rebooked on board - such a good deal, felt like we should - picked a date, but will change as new itineraries become available. Sandra, are you still going on the other cruise with your kids in Jan/Feb? Or just Disney now? We definitely got the "travel bug" in us. Not sure what we will do next. Would love to go to UK. Also want to do an Alaskan cruise. Are saving our points hoping to do the African safari in about 4 years. So much fun, so little time, so little money!!!

ON CRUISE RELEASE DATES.

The Wonder usaually comes out for its standard 3/4 night cruises in December.
The Magic 'standard' cruises for 7 day eastern and western come out just after that, for the period up to May.

Important dates.

May 5th 2005- Panama and Mexico cruises Summer 2005.
April 4th 2006- Med cruises.
January 31st 2007- Panama and Mexico cruises Summer 2008.

They have pushed back the release date a lot but I think it ill stick about January for anything special in 2009.

Aye, wait and see what the ports also if Hawaii - that we are not going cos we are going to Panama Canal. Finger Cross for Northern Europe!!

If USA, we wait another times.

Scottishwee35

I really do not think it will be Hawaii too many issues.

The ships are registered in the Bahamas, the USA rules on foreign ships mean if traveling form a USA port they must call at at least on foreign port. There are few on route. The trip will take a high number of days at sea so Will Be more like a transatlantic getting there and back. People think they like it, in reality it would need a ship to have a home port in Honolulu to work.

With two new ships it could happen some time.

Over the years I have seen many posts for the next release of cruises, posters start earlier and earlier and some post 'as fact' it will come out 'soon' or in the fall.

These are the actual dates for reference of previous important releases, I personally do not expect and 'special' cruises to be announced until January 2008, however the release of standard 7 day Caribbean Magic trips might give us a clue if there is a 'gap' from May to September.

Hi everyone! We finally made it home after 23-1/2 hours of travel. Out of 5 pieces of luggage checked in we received 1. I'm hoping that we get the other 4 by tomorrow, especially the one that has a painting that my cousin painted and gave to us as a gift.

It's 12am here in Los Angeles, but I am still on Spain time, and it's 9am there. I'll try and post some pics.

I see a bunch of you are rebooking for '08 and '09 cruises. Just brilliant!!

Welcome back and thanks for everything you did on this trip, I was lucky enough to get your bag in the family dis gift exchange and you put a lot into it, thank you, and it gave me a reminder to book Disneyland for 2008.

On your suggestions I have booked the Disneyland hotel, Sierra tower higher floor with Kelsie at Dreams, she says that they cannot guarantee a theme park view but hopefully it Will be nice.

Keep me informed if there is any interesting news at Disneyland please.

Sure, Andrew. I'm glad your family enjoyed the bag we put together. It was a great idea, and fun to do at our DIS Meet. We got a bag from JoAnn's family, and we just love what we got!

We left Barcelona on August 8th, to go to northern Spain, and as we flew over, we got some shots of the Magic in port. These pics were taken between 16:30 & 17:00.

We really didn't have much of a chance to do our blog on the trip. I barely got 15 minutes now and then on the Internet, and the family kept us pretty busy in Spain. When I did get on, the cousins wanted to look at other stuff. We'll update when we can, and I'm looking forward to reading what everyone else wrote.

Can you believe the Magic leaves today to return to Florida?

Yes the Med is over and we can let her return ( for the time being) to Florida and West coast in 2008, this time next year the 18th will be my first sea day after leaving LA for the Magics return to PC via Panama.

My plane on the 8th took off a different direction so we couldnt see the Magic, but your pictures remind me of seeing the Magic in Barcelona, on May 27th, on her first day there, when we flew over to Majorca and the palne started its decent over Barcelona.

There was so much to do on and off the Magic with so little time to do it, glad I went for a 11 day as we had that extra sea day when we stopped in the sea outside La Spezia, but at least in 2008, I have far more sea days to enjoy the ship again.

Of my favorite ports I must say it was:-

ROME
NAPLES AMALFI and POMPEII-wanted more time in Sorrento.
FLORENCE and PIZA
AIX in PROVANNCE and CASSIS
OBLIA,Love that train.
VILLFRANCE MONTE CARLO EZE
then PALERMO I think I choose the wrong DCL trip there, yours looks good.

There were great sunrises and sunsets.

Thx for all the great memories, MJ! Glad you're home (I guess it will take a while to recover from that flight!)....GL getting your luggage back soon....at least you don't have to do the laundry yet!:laundy:

I know how you feel, Andrew, some of our excursions were a "homerun" like the day with Lynn, Keith, the REnts and MJ's family....Cinque Terre (unbelieveable)......Rome...........Pompeii was phenomenal....Sorrento was nice.......you were right about Capri............Sardinia, Marseille & Villefranche, we could have done better, but of course, it was still very nice!

I look forward to going back again in a few years and doing it better!:cool1:

Sorry Capri wasn't so good, I had been there before didn't like the boat across the queues and when you where there its a bit small. Each port was special in its own way, I loved our private tours, they all worked well, and DCL s trip by Train in Sardinia beat expectations.

Errors made, PALERMO should have done another trip, the puppet show was good but the rest wasn't as good, Pompeii, should have had a private guide.

Best bit, the Private guide at the Vatican and our car driver in Rome both really knew there stuff and opened it up to you, getting early entry to the Vatican at 9.00am also gave us a head start on the crowds and boy those crowds. When they did catch up on us.

Getting all around Amalfi rather than just an overview by tour bus was great, I saw so much more this time, and Cassis by boat fantastic.

Scary moment doing 150kph down a motorway ( freeway) to/from Florence with the driver talking on his mobile ( cell) phone, driving down the middle to two lanes! That just beats the scary climb to the top of the tower of Pisa, the one before last stage walking around with little to grip on was brown pants stuff. Well worth it though, so pleased we booked in advance as it was sold out to 6pm.

Great to come back to a good server Wilson on the ship he couldnt do enough for us, Kids getting Palo's afters twice!
