We're leaving for the airport in about 23 hours....but, it's 26 hours until departure time.........I believe the thunderstorms aren't coming until after we leave, let's hope so!

My DD23 is on the plane right now, heading home.......my DD20 is picking her up!! Once they all get home, the madness will begin!

After 7pm, I can finally print out our boarding passes!!!

Nick finally finished Harry Potter and came up for air. He and I are in an Internet Cafe on the wharf, looking out at the IMAX theater. On the other side is the Grand Marina and I cannot help but think of everyone who is there already that we will be meeting on the cruise.

Kelly is sleeping.... again.

Laura and family should have checked in tonight, but not a peep. I wonder if we will run into each other tomorrow for breakfast.

We hit the hard rock café Barcelona again tonight, for 3rd/4th time cant remember, but enjoyed it.

Thanks for the reminder, Andrew. I just made priority seating arrangements tomorrow for 3pm. The kids nixed the Chocolate Museum tour, so we´ll have a bite to eat there, after shopping at the Corte Inglés, of course.

Thank you checked the urban train times from Placa Cataluna and the go every 10 mins or so and only Euro 2.50 each, so going up the coast for a day!

Went to the Chololate musuem today sure I saw someone from this cruise there, and in La Rambler someone was waering a DCL T shirt!

Beware pickpockets around, there are lots on La Rambler.

Our hotel, or hostal, is right off of Ramblas, so I have been extra careful, and have had good luck up to now. But, there are so many people walking.... think Finding Nemo when the dad (Marlin?) rides along with the turtles in the current in the ocean. That is how I felt. I didn´t catch a glimpse, though, of fellow cruisers/DISers.

Just checking in..

We were able to get an earlier flight from Vegas to Atlanta and eliminate the 30 minute "mad run" to our connecting Barcelona flight. So, here we are in Atlanta awaiting an 8pm EST departure on Flight 114 to Barcelona. We know some other DISers are on this flight so hopefully we'll meet up.

We Made It! 26 hrs later and we are here. We checked into the hotel at 7:40 - ROyal Ramblas. While we got one true Triple - the other was a made up one. DH and I laughed as the size of the rooms - although triple here is the size of a Motel 6 room. It is nice and well, just wanted to share.

You know.......when in Rome.......well, I must tell you the "Foot Washer" works great!

We are at the top of Las Ramblas VERY close - exactly 1 minute from Hard Rock and tried going there but the 2 hr wait was unbearable. So we tried Mickey Dee's which for some reason was dark and so we ended up at Burger King! The food was ok - the worst part about that? The $70 price ticket (in American Dollar) for a party of 6!

Anyway, I think we will be playing Friday by ear. We walked Las Ramblas after dinner down to what I think was the end but we shall see tomorrow.

Our flight was good - thank God their were no problems although DH thought the 1st leg was unbearable. Claims that the plane gave him rug burn on his knees - told him it was his fault for having long legs. Us short people had plenty of roomto cross our legs!

Anyway, it is very late. Just wanted to jump online and say hi everyone. Hope everyone has made it safe.

Oh yeah - we have internet access in our room for either $9 Euros for 1 1/2 hr or $15 for 24 hrs. So by the time we were able to get it - it was a no brainer - stretch it out to Friday - Sat morning!

OK - more later.

Hope to catch some other DISsers tomorrow. There were some DCL people on the 2nd leg of the flight but they didn't seem familiar. DD Megan saw their tickets in the man's briefcase when he opened it and was too embarrassed to say anything. Oh well, if I see them on the ship - I'll say hi! OK on to update my blog.

All the cases are packed and loaded into the car, the hand luggage is done and our clothes are laid out for our VERY (3am) early start tomorrow.

Good Morning from Barcelona!!

Our flights were truly uneventful. We are in the Hilton and it is beautiful!! My nephew said he thinks this is the nicest hotel he has ever stayed in.

We left Dulles last night at 10pm...took an Advil PM and when I woke up we were in Paris!! The airport there was a nightmare....and we almost missed our connecting flight. We came in at terminal 2E and left out of 2F...sounds easy...but you need to exit and come back though security. The French people earn their reputation...they split our party of 10 up and tried to make my 11 year old daughther go in a whole other area ...I flipped....

but we all finally made it though and ran to our connection and from there is was smooth sailing.

We arrived in Barcelona at 5pm last night....went to the pool and had dinner by the pool and it was yummy!! There are live bands in a shopping area across the way and we went and danced....There is a McD's and one of my kids really wanted french fries (she was mortified when she saw the FAT french fries....but relieved to find out they had the orginal as well.

Then we walked the beach....beautiful!!

At 10 pm I gave Daniel his meds for the strep throat and we all went to bed. I woke up at 7:30am (my computer said 1:30am) and I seem to have no jet lag at all.

Today I think we will go to Las Rambus (sp??) after breakfast. The Hilton told us we get a complimentary breakfast buffet.

The Disney desk opens at 1pm and we can check in here and get our KTTW cards. I am hoping to find out about upgrades as well.

Well you know, you have to try just about everything once. OK here's the deal, I told DH to set up the alarm for 8:30. I'm up and everyone in my room is thundering away. I decided to let them sleep. Although I know this will eat up a lot of time. I DO NOT really want DD April - 14 getting sick. She didn't do too well on the the plane and was REALLY worried that she was becoming . In case I didn't explain it well, she has a reoccurring neck lymph node that does't drain well. Prior to the cruise, she was on antibiotics that she didn't respond too. So I took her to the after hours clinic because her doc was on vacation.

The doc there as a precaution gave her a TB test which turned out negative of course and gave her augmenten (SP?) and so I think that letting her sleep is in her best interest. She also got a bit sick on the plane - didn't lose it but she was definitely VERY pale and she's pale enough as it is and had lots of people giving us funny looks. I got her to walk around a bit on the plane and then she knocked out again. She seemed to be fine after she finally ate almost 20 hrs after boarding the plane.

Let me tell you, I was finally able to take a shower and it was at midnight Barcelona time. But boy oh boy, after the shower is when we realized ALL THE STUFF WE FORGOT. In fact, I am probably going to head next door to pick up a few odds and ends that we forgot.

LOL - one of those items? Both DH and I left our world travel adaptors (not the ipod ones or the world phone ones but the ones to charge the cameras, the ones to charge the computer, the ones to charge DH's cell phone.

OH Yeah - must tell you - the desk staff got a laugh yesterday when we were checking in and DH got a call from the states. I quickly looked at DH who ANSWERED IT ( ) and afte 2 minutes of talking, I yelled out - WE'RE ON VACATION - you got 30 seconds to hang up or I will! Those poor people must of thought I was a American Lady! Oh well, I AM on vacation. Don't know what is happening but my iphone isn't working here. Good thing I brought the Nextel. DH thought he set it up for international but as usual, when it concerns me, I made things rather difficult. I'm sure glad getting here wasn't that big a deal!

OK on to see if I can bump into an DISsers out there. NOTE: I will be wearing khaki green capri pants with a green, yellow, white long prego (NO! I'm not) flower print top in case anyone gets to read this. Not sure if we'll be able to make the meet. Will have a better idea later.

Oh yeah, DH was ready to kill some late night partygoers but I found the noise reassuring. The other girls rooms was deathly quiet for me. They have a room overlooking a TINY square they may call a courtyard which I call about the size of a took shed. LOL
