I know, I know.........IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN..........:scared: :surfweb:

JoAnn, if you say that it won't -- let's see some positive thoughts with resolve here!

Harry, spends the summer lying depressed in his room (Probably a good idea in his case, since the most powerful wizard next to Dumbledore is out to kill him). Spends the year with half the wizarding world looking at him as the second coming, while his best friends refuse to believe his suspicions of Malfoy (which turn out to be correct - you'd think they'd have learned by now). He spends the year experimenting with potions and spells from a mysterious book written on by a death-eater (you'd think he'd have learned by now).

Hermione continues to be brilliant, Ron the perfect sidekick - they spend most of the book hating each other, so they are obviously destined for true love, if not some serious snogging.

Malfoy continues to be a blustering coward, no big surprise. But surprise, he figures out a way to sneak his death-eater buddies into Hogwarts, where they succeed in doing little but giving Bill a faulty nose job (in the future he'll know to avoid graduates of the Anne Rice school of cosmetic surgery).

Dumbledore offers private lessons to Harry that consist of studying memories and learning about horcruxes. I would think some advanced training on destroying evil wizards might be in order, but go figure.

Bill and George take over Haliburton, gladly selling advanced weaponry to anyone with ready cash. But it's ok, cause they are so cool.

Tooks and Remus find true love. So does Harry and Ginny, except he gets to be self-sacrificing, swearing to leave her for her own good and setting her up for a tragic death in book 7 (speculation on my part).

Snape takes out Dumbledore at his request when Malfoy wimps out, shortly after Dumbledore discovers that the horcrux he found had already been snagged by the mysterious R.A.B., making it a bad day for Dumbledore all around. Meanwhile Snape keeps his street cred with the "He who will not be named except by contrarian teens" crowd, setting him up for a martyr's death in book 7 (also speculation on my part).

I find your speculations very interesting, Dan -- we'll know very soon now!

OK Andrew - not to bring up a sorry point but you do realize that in America Madam has other connotations right? (Such as Madam Heidi Fliess) I'm sure that you meant the other one right? ;) :rotfl2:

I mean this is you and Julie - you just can never be too sure.

Laura, he knew EXACTLY what he was doing . . .

Good morning everyone,

Yesterday I was off the boards for most of the day and it took over 3 hours last night to get caught up. Today I have to be in a meeting for the morning and I'm afraid how much I'll be behind.:surfweb: :surfweb: :surfweb:

Nothing is getting done toward cruise preparation. Life seems to be getting in the way of my vacation.

Some of you have been feeling guilty about leaving pets. WEll the guilt is really setting in for leaving my daughter. It's getting much worse the closer we get to the cruise. If I had her passport I would have already called and added her onto our room. DH would be VERY unhappy with me as this is supposed to be just for the two us. But I feel terrible leaving her. ANd I know it's only going to get worse.

Well, I'm off to an Emergency Response Planning meeting for the town our school is in. THese meetings are usually pretty interesting but I know my mind is going to be on cruise stuff and not ERP.

Have a great day,
Sandra

That is tough on you Sandra, especially if she really wanted to come. It probably would be easier on you if it was a shorter trip and closer to home - but you would feel the guilt regardless. She will be okay and please enjoy yourself. We do so much for them and you do have a family cruise planned. I am hoping soon dh and I can start taking some mini-vacations here and there on our own.

Sandy,

Don't feel too guilty about not taking your daughter. I am sure you do plenty for and with her. You and your DH deserve a wonderful vacation.

As for the ERP and having your mind on the cruise...Just don't insist upon having a monthly Lifeboat drill and they will never know your mind is drifting to/in the Med. ;)

9 DAYS!!!!! :cool1: :cool1:

Ok, if you open this link, you will see my DH modeling our cruise T-shirt!:thumbsup2

JoAnn, I bookmarked your blog and can't wait to read more!!!! Isn't this exciting!!!

I know what you mean - I haven't left yet and I'm already overcompensating by giving extra treats. Although the suitcases have been in the entryway for a couple of weeks, I was hoping to get them accustomed to them. Last night she even crawled into bed with me - which she has never done she may lay down with me but she gets up after 10 minutes - this time - she came to me and wanted cuddling. Strange and making me feel VERY guilty!

Sandra,
Hope you have a good meeting. In a way it's good to be occupied. Makes the time pass more quickly.

I know how you feel about leaving the kids. DH & I would always try to squirrel time away (even for just a weekend) when the kids were little. I don't know who cried more when we left, me or the kids. Anyway, as I look back on it, I realize that one of the reasons our marriage is so strong is that WE always made time for eachother, to rekindle what attracted us to eachother in the first place. These little snippits that we set aside over the years allowed us to grow together, not apart. Now that DD&DS are adults, we still have so much in common and enjoy just doing things together. Empty nest syndrome??? You've got to be kidding!!!! Although I love my kids and we are really close, DH is my best friend. So don't feel so guilty. Remember, we only "borrow" our children. Like little birds, we raise them to spread their own wings and fly away. After they are gone and go on with their lives (and believe me, when they want to go somewhere, they don't cry when THEY leave), you will still have YOUR best friend. Enjoy! Carpe diem!!

Our kids are so excited!

Wendy, I think we are wearing them when we board the ship and at the sailaway party that night. Some one please correct me if I dreamt this up.

Maryann

Wendy we're wearing our when we board and for the sail away party. Im thinking that we might change for dinner as we're on 1st dining and then put them back on along with all our green glo necklaces/bracelets for the party :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Thanks for the info. We have early dining, too and will change into our shirts after dinner.

As we begin the final count down I want to say how much fun I have had, and I hope we will continue to have. I found this poem and thought it spoke of all of us.. To all my cyber friends: Its been so much fun, and so very informative. Thanks!!!!

:grouphug: THE CIRCLE OF FRIENDS:grouphug:

We meet on-line to have a great time....
We laugh and we giggle and smile at our screens,
We sit back and wonder what this all means.
:grouphug:
We surf the Web, we travel afar,
We span thousands of mile without a car.
We watch conversations flowing on the screen,
We tell jokes and stories and know what they mean.
:grouphug:
What are we looking for? Where's the attraction?
How can we do this and get satisfaction?
Who are we? Why are we here?
:grouphug:
We are "the Circle of Friends", made from a chain.
And we're here because friendship is what we gain!
Born on-line formed by few,
We had no idea just what to do.
:grouphug:
So we are linking our pages, first one then two,
And wonder where we'll end up when we are through?
The Circle will spread, like a wild vine,
It will breathe and whisper like the winds of time.
:grouphug:
We are the Circle of Friends, made from a chain,
All of our motives are exactly the same.

:grouphug:

Very nice Sallie :goodvibes
I was sent this one today.....

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.
When someone is in your life for a REASON,
it is usually to meet a need you have expressed
They have come to assist you through a difficulty,
to provide you with guidance and support,
to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They may seem like a godsend and they are.
They are there for the reason you need them to be.
Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,
this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.
Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.
What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done.
The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.
They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done.
They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.
Believe it, it is real. But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons,
things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Your job is to accept the lesson,
love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.
It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Thank you for being my friends,
whether you were a reason, a season or a lifetime.

I love these . They are so appropriate for this group.
JoAnn,

The shirt looks great! DH actually looks like a willing participant in this runway assignement. :thumbsup2

The shirt looks terrific. I can't wait to get ours.
