I always pay my shipboard account in advance it should be $1,400 now, that cover my commitments for tips nd two DCL trips I do this by DREAM's paying when the dollar rate is good, or even very good. Never had a problem helps me relax on holidays thinking a lot is paid for.

Now you guys all have me thinking. Perhaps I should call DCL and put $3,000 on-board credit. If my son comes, we have almost $3,500 on shore excursions alone.

Does anyone have information/links to transfers from the Paris airport (CDG) to Disneyland Paris and back??

There is a Disneyland>CDG bus that goes back and forth to airport I saw it when I was at DLP, and it stops at the Disneyland bus station for connections to hotels.

Also CDG has a station and trains run to Marne-la-Vallee/Chessy from there,Thats the station under downtown Disney.

I am just wondering I know you can add stateroom credit as a gift, and I know it is in incremements of $25.

Anyone know how much it costs to do this? Also is there a maximum amount.

My thinking is - I would love to pay for our excursions in advance - I was wondering how much it would cost and indeed whether DCL would let me add $1000 to our onboard credit account. I could say it is a gift for my DH is needs be?

Any help would be appreciated

Hi Helen - DH put down a huge onboard credit to be used for our excursions. So yes, you can pay for it ahead of time. He put down just enough to cover the cost of our DCL excursions which we will be cancelling once I can get on the site and not kicked off that is!

DH is at AAA picking up the Travel Docs as we "speak". If it goes smoothly, it will be the first time since we started this adventure over a year ago. We don't hold out much hope.

I just called and added money to our account, I have a nationwide cc and they have no charges when making purchases abroad. Plus I got the exchange rate of 2.3 dollars to the pound. (ok I know its not good for you americans but I was pleased)

I'm guessing it was actually 2.03 dollars to the pound (which is still a great rate). If you got 2.3, you should go into business trading currency right away, cause you can buy pounds back for less than that

I lied and cheated with the drop down boxes, but I figure as DCL have now sent out the documents that shouldn't cause any problems. At least this should mean that check in at Barcelona should go a bit quicker.

I was thinking Saturday would be good - allow people to spot each other casually at hotels, check-in, topsiders, etc.

Has anyone put the Rome-ancing the Mouse logo on a black Tshirt? DH doesn't like white tshirts and I couldln't convice him to wear LIme Green so I was thinking of trying black.

To do an iron-on on a black shirt you'll need a special kind of Dark T-Shirt transfer (Avery 3279). I understand Cafe Press can do it now as well - though I've heard the results aren't quite as good as on white.

Good Morning (and good afternoon to those across the pond!)
Please help me if you have any knowledge here. I went to Cingular yesterday to get a phone and service for our trip. (We have Alltell that does not offer service nor can you "unlock" the phones.) This is what our salesman with Alltell suggested I do. Cingular would sell me a phone but would not give me international service until we had been a customer for at least 6 months. I have been researching on ebay and can get an unlocked phone. I am told to just get a sim card where I am going. I cannot find out about service and how to get it connected. I am trying to figure out whether to buy a phone (preferred) and try to get the service to it or whether to just rent a phone. The second option will cost as much to buy one and the cost per minute is very high.
Any help is appreciated.

Thank you for the good wishes. They really warmed me, and I so needed it. Nick is properly contrite, and it's hard for me to remain upset at him. So, we'll go first thing in the morning & wait for the Passport Agency to open. I have his old passport (the one he couldn't find when we renewed the passports in spring & so had to use his birth certificate -- yup, that one), so we'll use that & his drivers license for ID, and we took the two pictures this afternoon, so we're set.

Well, enough of that. Again, thank you so much. You guys are the BEST!

DD & I saw HP yesterday and it was very good. We've also decided to reread #6. We were discussing Snape after the movie, and agreed that he really is a good guy after all. So...... I guess it's just 8 more days until we find out. We each preordered the book (like mother like daughter ) and I can't imagine waiting to read it although I should. There goes that Saturday- I'll be reading when I should be doing 1001 things for the cruise.

My experience on a prior cruise when I did not use DCL transportation to the port was that the luggage tags are needed at the port and the porters take your luggage to your room.
We are not staying at onw of the DCL hotels so we, also, will be getting to the port on our own. This worked fine in the past.

They don't need their passports but they need their birth certificates which went with their passport applications. And because they have foreign birth certificates and certificates of adoption it's not as easy to get birth certificates. I didn't realize that they would take their old passports. Because they are both under 16 it's as if they never had passports and is a completely new application so I didn't copy the old ones before we went. Then they wanted both the old passports and the certified birthcertificates so now we don't have either one for them to get back into the US. It's not a big problem just an inconvenience when there isn't a lot of extra time in the schedule.

The Sailaway Party is going to be sort of different if it starts at 9:00 and half of the ship is still having dinner??? When we have our DISmeet some of us have brunch at 10:30 ....already life is getting complicated! I think these shirts will really turn lots of heads!!
