HI everyone- my very dear aunt passed away late last night unexpectedly, although she has battled cancer the past 20 years! Sh appears to have passed peacefully in her sleep thank God.
So I will not home much the next few days, although I will try to check in
If anyone wants their child added to the Kids Room Card please leave me a PM.
Brian I got yours !
Thanks

Sorry to hear that please accept my condolances

Mmmmmm, I love Starbucks (and luckily there is one 1 1/2 blocks away from the apartment and another 2 blocks in another direction ) . . . you literally can't walk 3 blocks in Manhattan without passing a Starbucks. In the past I felt guilty spending so much on coffee, but recently decided that I need to treat myself. If I can get a lot of pleasure out of a $4 venti skim latte (but I switch to gingerbread at Christmas time) then it's good for me. Recently I have been lured also by the cinnamon swirl coffee cake in the morning, which probably has less redeeming value.

What do you drink, JoAnn?

that's EXACTLY what I'm drinking right now except mine cost £2.55 which in your money is $5.10 !!!!!!!

Congratulations - is this your summer break then? When do you start up again (I probably shouldn't even bring it up, sorry??)
You know I have no idea - I think its Sept 3rd?

Have any of you heard of David Beckham? The football (soccer for us Americans) player?

You know he's transferring here to Los Angeles, right? I don't follow soccer, but I know because it's been in the news for weeks, now, and there are billboards all over the place announcing it. Well, he's going to be playing at the Galaxy Stadium at the Home Depot Center....

What does that mean to me, you ask? Well, you probably are really asking, "Why is she going on about this..."

David Beckham will definitely have an impact on me because the Galaxy stadium is right next to my neighborhood, and whenever there is a game traffic gets reall tied up

um David Beckham - never heard of the guy :confused3

Only joking - when his ankle gets better he is fab to watch - his free kicks are somthing else :goodvibes

ok Im panicing now - We still cant find the charger for our digital camera you know the wdw promo dvd from last year when DAve gets people to take his picture then Email it too him - thats us now.

Seriously though IM worried :confused3

Isn't it nice to know, that despite the diversity and differences that exist in the world, we are all bound together by the knowledge that just around the corner is a Starbucks, where you can buy an overpriced cup of high calorie indulgence?

Well, he's kinda cute, maybe you'll get a peek?:confused3

You guys are awesome!
I got my shirts today - they did a nice job. Will my family wear them? You guys are making your families, right??? I'm game, but I'm not 12, 13 or 16 years old.

ALL my lot will be wearing them

Hey Dan I'd agree with the overpriced indulgence...but it's a skinnie latte so less of the calories :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyways it's my treat of the day as I always seem to be on a permanent diet the chocolate, crisps and sweets are always a no, no so this is my daily treat to start the day. After this one coffee I drink herbal tea and water for the rest of the day

My poison used to be softdrinks (good ol' Coke), but I've mellowed and switched to fruit juices mostly.

Of course, while you can talk about the meals, and rave about Palos, we all know that the high point of DCL cuisine are the chocolate smoothies (which have their own line item on the trip budget) :-)

Which model camera? With the wide variety of cameras in use, could be someone else will have a charger even if you can't replace it in time...

I drink black coffee so I think the calorie part isn't an issue!:coffee:

Ok, today is Thursday...........isn't the first of our group leaving tomorrow, Helen???:cool1: :thumbsup2

Okay, we hav made this decsion to do all the ports on our own and I went to the PISA site and you need to book the tickets to climb the tower 14 days in advance.....that was yesterday :headache: :headache: :headache:

Oh well, we can go early and wait there for tickets........I guess get the tickets and tour a little while waiting......not sure.....any suggestions would be great.

Lisa

For those of you taking Euros...are you afraid of being robbed....I know that sounds like a dumb question....

I guess I will split them up and let each of us have some. I am getting these wallets you wear around your neck and then inside your shirt.

I think I will get the Am Ex Travel card as well......

Not a dumb question -- I won't carry more than I think I will need for the day, plus a bit extra, and do have the travel wallet for under my clothes. I'm not really worried about it, though, most crime reported there is pickpocketing or bag snatching, not actual hold-up style robbery.
