I think this is what you're looking for, Penny.

Thanks I was going to ask about that too. Now that school is out, I was going to have the boys sign-up and introduce themselves.

Congrats - another pirate:

And I just realized that somewhere on the last 2 pages I just made my 1000th post! (OK - technically not all on this thread but I have the most on this one in the shortest amount of time so what the heck! This one pushed me over! )

party: party: party:

:cheer2: :cheer2: Congratulations on 1000 :cheer2: :cheer2:

I have to go to bed so that I can get up in the morning for work. I actually finally caught up on all the threads.

Ahh who am I kidding? I'll sleep in and work from home. But I'm still going to bed. Night to anyone online.

Wow!!! What have you guys been doing over the last three days!!! :rotfl:

I spent close to three hours reading all of the posts since friday.

Hi everyone can I join in here please ?

I've been active on the Creative forum but never thought to join in here. We're also on the 28th July cruise. We being me Isabel, DH Paul, DS age 11 Josh and DS age 9 Ethan. He live in London U.K .This will be our 3 DCL cruise having done a 7 day Eastern and the 10 night Xmas cruise last year.

I hope we can meet up with some of you onboard in 56 or so days time

Welcome  My family was on the first Christmas cruise in 2003 and had a wonderful time. My kids would love to go back. My DS (Donnie) is 9 and my DD (deanna) is 11.

Mornin' everyone,
Just checking in and ramping up for two days of :dance3: recital with our DDs. Welcome to our new friends. As fresh skallywags don't forget to check out our pre-cruise Barcelona Four Cats and fountain forage and on-board hang-a-fish program. Hey, this place is becoming a real zoo!

Thanks for the welcome.

Your son sounds wonderful, I have taught many children on the austistic spectrum over the years and they have all left me with many happy memories and a lot of respect.

We had a guest speaker at church Sunday speaking on the subject of people with special needs. It was a real blessing.

Since YOU brought up the flashing issue again... I must report that we are having 90 degree weather here on Long Island. The temperature on my classroom thermometer reads 95 degrees!!!! Put a hot flash on top of that every 20 minutes or so...and ,.. well,.... you can just imagine:faint: :scared1:
I'd rather not!!:scared1: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Yikes! How can you possibly teach in this enviorment. I feel very fortunate that we have air conditioning in all of our classrooms. Plus the men are not required to wear ties.

Just asking because the kids are playing Kingdom Hearts, when his name popped onto the screen. They couldn't figure out why mom was suddenly laughing.

It's Master Yen Sid in case you were wondering.

Then a little later on, Sora needs new clothes. Of course Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather were on the job. I started cracking up when they started changing his clothes from green, to blue, to pink, to green.......

They eventually settled on a nice little red, black, and white number.

Scary!! My son was playing the same section of Kingdom Hearts 2 when I read this. pixiedust:

I have my new kittens-!! :cat: :cat: They are lilac point traditional siamese kittens like my other one. Traditional meaning they do not have that long pointed face people usually associate with siamese cats- this breed has a round face. They are soo cute.. I hope to post a pic tomorrow.
They are very active and getting into everything already. Cleo does not seem too thrilled to have them around- she will not even step foot in the same room with them- I hope she comes around. She is still wandering looking for her sister, although, I think she is starting to understand that Chloe is no longer with us.:sad1:

We have not settled on a name , although I am pretty sure they will be- Isabella (Izzy) and Mia- I know these were not even choices before, but for some reason those names just came to me after playing with them for a day. Pixie dust had a great suggestion- Magic and Wonder- love it- so I am still thinking

Have a great night everyone-!!

Andrew and Helen , if you do get home tomorrow and post while we are sleeping here in the US- WELCOME HOME WE MISSED YOU!!!:cheer2: :cheer2:

Congratulations on your new family members! Great pictures. :bounce:

My dh has been a high school band director for many years and I have been school secretary and most recently executive secretary to the county Vocational Director whose office is in the high school. You never knew when you would end up in the classroom, as any school secretary can attest. I greatly admire all of our teachers, and do prefer my job to their job although I love the students, I like them better in the office! Our students last day of school is this Thursday. Most of this week will be fun time for the elementary students and the high school has already had graduation.:cool2:

Thanks for the Pirate Quiz--My Pirate Name is Captain Jenny Rackham, wasn't that Kayla's name too??:scared1:

:teacher: Great to see other educators and support staff on the cruise.

I had several other comments I had made that were lost when the site went down thursday night.

Those of us on the west coast often type pass 12:30 west coast time. :thumbsup2

I will have to finish tomarrow since my time is up!!!!!

SI & AM I tell ya

I have a pin with Si & Am on it and they are almost in the same postions and another one with their tails up in the air! Uncanny!

Beautiful! Makes me want to go AH!!!! :cloud9:

Hope your other cat (Cleo?) warms up to them.

Thank you!! I love SI and Am- very clever!!! I remember being sooo afraid of those Siames cats in Lady and The Tramp- my mom said I would run out of the room 5 minutes before the part when they sing "We are siamese if you please......" :rotfl: My family still talks about it to this day, and they still cant believe I have Siamese Cats!
Cleo is still not happy at all!!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am so sad and disappointed right now. I heard the this city is suppose to be a beautiful city but right now I really have a bad taste in my mouth. I just want to cry for the next 3 days until we board the Disney Magic.

Scary!!!:scared1: :scared1:

Food for thought!
They are precious! We currently have four kitties: Diamond, Gracie, Bear, and Jean. But we have had many over the years. My favorite was a Seal Point, Queenie, who would come when I called, jumped in my arms when I whistled, and would follow me around the neighborhood at my heel, like a well-trained dog. She was the best cat I ever had. Enjoy your babies. :)

Thank you- Siamese,in my opinion are the most "dog-like" cats in that they love to sit on your lap, tehy literally talk to you when they want or need something- tehy are extremeley social and playful- I wish you could see them interact with each now that they are comfortable in their new home!:cloud9:

OK, I'm going to see if I can get these pictures to work.

Garet and the pets are beautiful!! I love the cat and the dog together on the same pillow!!!!

I got one, I got one, I got one, I got one

I got another new tag

Love IT!!!

Yum! I was just trolling the blogs for pictures of :cake: found some tart cake and fruit :cake: - made me fancy a slice myself.

Good going with your DD - enjoy. Hope she got everything she wanted. They do get hard to please as they get older don't they?

Hey Julie - where are you staying on your return from Paris to Barcelona? And what day are you flying back?

My friends and I are considering doing the Segway tour on or after we get there which should be the 15th.

Hi Laura! We fly from Barcelona to Paris about 1 PM on the 8th . . . we will stay at the Hotel la Bourdonnais and then move on the 13th to the Disneyland Hotel at DLP.

I think Elizabeth got what she wanted. She's really not difficult -- lets you know exactly what she wants and picks out what is really important (I took her to an art store last weekend for her to pick out supplies to take to Spain when she leaves for her foreign exchange this coming Saturday. She's quite a good artist and wants to paint/sketch while there.)

And Laura, i forgot you asked about returning -- we will get back to Barcelona about 2 PM on Aug 18 -- given the ship doesn't leave until late on the 19th I wasn't in such a hurry to get back.

Hey Julie- I just noticed that your daughter's birthday was yesterday0- so was my husband's!!! Happy Belated Birthday!!

HMMMM....I wonder how you get the dirty part!!:rotfl:

In this quiz, the more baths you take.....the dirtier you are....remember these are pirates and they never bathe!!

I have a 17 year old son going on the cruise , how many other 16, 17 year olds are there?

My son Daniel will turn 18 while we are on the cruise. Friday Aug 3rd. He is in a room with 3 of his buddies in Deck 5 in the one of the secret porthole rooms right next to Mary Jo :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: (jk)

I know, I'm freaking out about it myself!!:confused3

Before our airline cancelled our flights last month, we were due to fly in the day of the cruise. I was very uncomfortable with this and I looked up www.insuremytrip.com. You need to be very careful, if you go this route as only one of the offered selections covered airline delays less than 24 hours. There was one that covered for under 4 hours, which fit our window. They will reimburse you for expenses to get to the next stop on the cruise....

If you want/need more details, send me a PM.
Lisa

Thank you all for your kind words - I took a long walk with my human baby and my doggie babies. It helped.

THANK YOU ALL - this is why I come here - to feel like I'm wanted for my humor and mirth (as opposed to girth ;) )

Isn't this place so nice...I just love talking about stuff going on in my life and not be judged....just have acceptance. That is just so cool!!

I have become very found of everyone, especially you Laura....good thing as we will be on so many more cruises together!! (You sould stop by the WB Pamana Thread.....very different there or EB Panama.....slower moving and very very thoughtful. You would fit right in!!)

"Yet another case of Helenitis," said Lynn.............:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

In this case I think it is "Helenitis" with a sub-diagnosis of "party-time". This is the kind of Helenitis I want !! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Laura, I'm in the Western Caribbean near Cuba and Jamaica. We're a tiny, tiny dot on the map , hard to find unless you know where to look. The Disney cruise ships have been coming here regularly since they launched but it seems as if they may be moving away from this area a bit....sorry to see that happen.
I'm glad you're feeling better. I bought something on ebay once and had a hard time with the payment since we're outside of the US and the guy wrote me such a nasty email saying I was a con artist and he was going to report me, it was very upsetting, so I understand how you felt earlier. It all turned out OK though and like the others said it's their problem that they're so unpleasant.

What does your family do for a living, you are living several of ours dreams....give up the big city, high pressure....big jobs and raise our families, where we can be less stressed!!

In reading some of the early posts I saw at least one other couple who will be celebrating their 20th wedding anniversay, mine is in September. Where has the time gone! :bride:

Our Wedding anniversary (20th) is Oct 4th. This trip is helping to celebrate it!!

Hi to everyone going on the Disney Magic 28th July, we have just booked yesterday and cant wait!!
Have just finished reading all your postings and its interesting to see how many holidays poeple go on!! espcially Andrew(do you ever have time for work)!! Fair play to you !!
We have never cruised with DCL before although we have stayed at Disney world Wilderness Lodges many times and are looking forward to the Disney cruise experience.
Question for Andrew
We have always had a fantastic time at Disney and find it difficult to see how this can be re created on a cruise ship, how does the quality of the entertainment and service compare to that of the parks and resorts?
If any one has any good tips( we have 2 chilren aged 11 and 8) or can recomend a good hotel in Barcelona as we fly out 2 days early it would be great to hear from you.

Paul.

Welocme aboard, how did you find out about the cruise? I notice a lot of the new families are all from England. I was wondering if Disney was doing sprcial advertising there...or mnaybe direct mail, to fill the cruise??

Ok as promised this is what my two boys have been doing today...they were WDW Monorail Imagineers !!!

This may be the coolest thing I have ever seen!!

:duck:
Wow, impressive. My kids are pretty much doing nothing except aggravating each other so far for the day.
Penny

You kids must be cut from the same cloth as my children. My DD13 and DD11 fight like there is no tomorrow.

Annie DD13 was confirmed yesterday at church and she had to stand up in front of 500 people and give her statement of faith. I was so proud of her!
