July 27th 2015 ~ 7-Night Alaskan Cruise on Disney Wonder

Just booked! Mom and I are taking a cruise together, first one together in 11 years! I'm leaving DH behind for a girl's cruise

This will be my 3rd Disney Cruise. My mom, daughter 6yrs, myself and my girlfriend and her daughter 6yr and husband will be sailing to Alaska together. We have sailed all of our cruises together.

I am so excited!!! For those who have sailed to Alaska before what are some must dos?

We just got back and we did the helicopter and dogsled in Skagway, which was honestly one of the coolest things we've ever done! Amazing! Also, the deadliest catch tour in ketchican was great! Lot of fun!

My name is Julie and we just booked this cruise while on the Magic in Sept out of San Juan visiting the southern caribbean islands.....what a fantastic cruise that was!

This will be our 6th Disney Cruise and we have been on all three other ships so I am excited to see the Wonder! We were originally going on Aug 10th but had to change to this sailing due to work issues.

We are making it a family adventure. My in-laws always wanted to go to Alaska and then my FIL got diagnosed with an brain tumor and died 4 months later at the age of 68. That was over a year ago so my my MIL really wants to visit Alaska for him.

My parents are also joining the adventure and this will be there very first cruise ever!

And then of course, my gang - DH Joe, DD Jordan (20), DD Jamie (14) and DS Josh (12).

Can't wait to chat and figure out all the planning

We have just switched to this cruise as well. We were set to travel August 10th, but with school schedules, we had to move it up 2 week. There will be 6 of us travelling in 2 rooms, Myself, DH, DS, DD, DD best friend, and Dmom. This will be our 6th DCL cruise and 2nd DCL to Alaska.

Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and FE discussions right here on the DIS as they have since FE began (also here on the DIS).

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin with child ages for age appropriate gift giving. Other information you would like to share such as names, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

For those posting in this Cruise Meet thread to join a FE, if no one comes forward to organize a FE for this cruise, anyone can organize the FE right in this thread.

I would love to participate in the FE on-board... However, I should definitely not be the one to organize it, as I've never actually been on a boat bigger than a pontoon.

Hi everyone. I'm Angela, and I will be cruising with my 2 kiddos aged 7 and 9. I am looking forward to participating in a FE, but a small group. This will be my 6th cruise, my kids 5th. We have done the Bahamas on Dream, Key West on Wonder, and our last one was Western Caribbean on the Magic. Looking forward to making lots of memories on this trip.
