Drumroll, please....RUSSELL BOUGHT NEW DRESS SHOES TODAY! I figured I'd have to have another tooth pulled before he'd get any with tassels.... but since that was the only style that fit his extra wide feeties, I threatened him with a fate worse than death if he didn't get them. It's too dadgum hot to go out (we hit 100 today; I feel like I'm back in Texas - I'm melting!) No wait, it's COOLER there! LOL I may be IN the pool at 3:00 when we're supposed to meet! Just look for "poodle perm woman" and you'll see me!

I am SO overpacked. I could cruise around the world for six months with what I'm bringing, and I'm not talking about fans and shoeholders either. I have so many clothes I never wear, I'm thinking this is my chance. I'm not going to wear half of what I'm bringing. I just know it. I'll wear all of my old favorites anyway.

Nordstrom had a bunch of hippie clothes. I thought I was having a flashback. We didn't buy much, we're saving money for the cruise.

We did go to another department store and we found a HUGE section of evening gowns for 66% off the last price, and they were already marked down half. We tried on the most bizarre assortment of formal dresses (there was a reason they were on that rack). I looked like some foofy old cow and my daughter looked like a hooker in Vegas (well, without the implants). Needless to say, we left there empty handed too.

Gee, sounds like you didn't have all that much luck at Nordstrom or the foofy cow store (I like your words!) I thought we'd be overpacked, but I have plenty of room in my suitcase... We still have to take the 2 large suitcases because Russell's suit will take up the slack in his.... I don't know what to do about mine, though.... Have fun at WDW and remember your sunscreen!

Looks as if everyone is packed and ready to go except me! Fri., took a bus trip to an art pageant with my daughter, home at midnight. All day Sat. at a Mexican orphanage where I go every month. Rocked and soothed a drug addicted newborn (scared the toddlers would step on my TOE). Today, church, then brunch at a nice restaurant (I was a Mystery Shopper-still have to do my report). Did some looking at a Disney store (-0-) and crossed off more To Buys on my list at WalMart. Where does this stuff come from????? Oh yeah, bought the fan. Drew the line at the Febreze and popcorn packing. The girls are staying over tonite, eating pizza and watching Swan Princess now. Leaving tomorrow am for Hell Centro (110 temp. manana). be back Tues., then I have gotta pack!!! Toe looks gross but will live. Going to buy a strappy pair of sandals for the formal so will only have open toed shoes. Maybe I can get into sneakers for the next cruise. The foofy cow and I will be at the Hyatt Orlando airport Fri. pm drinking margaritas or whatever they serve in Florida. Probably some wannabe California orange juice thing. Oh yes! Tuck in those kids and come to the Hyatt bar on the night before the cruise!!! OK, I'm blonde. Probably lots of blondes down there.....well look at peoples toes, and look for Grandmalinda's toe. You'll find us. Maybe I should just wear my Cruella hat, you wouln't miss us then.

Margaritas in the Hyatt bar!! I'm there already!!! I may be at the pool earlier too. How are you going to know it's me?

Anyone hit the self tanner yet?

Hi Grandma (gee, I sure hope I don't call you that when I meet you in person! LOL Then again, maybe I should and you can tell everyone how hard it is having a g/d that's older than you!)

What time will you and foofy cow be at the Hyatt? We're staying there also. Shirley and I may join you two (Russell will be at the pool with the kidlets or conked out) But I may be the one that's conked out if it's late... If not, just look for Mutt and Jeff and that'll be us!

I tried the self tanner; I turned orange as a punkin... That was the new coppertone one that's not supposed to turn you orange. I'm planning on going to the tanning salon every day this week, though... I already got a sunburn in it, too...sigh...

I WAS thinking about looking at toes, Karen! LOL Although I DO think your Cruella hat will be stunning (what, no dalmation coat?)

Tracy, love to have you and your MIL join us. Karen and I didn't set a time to meet. My Delta flight arrives at 4:58. We pick up the luggage, check into the hotel, jump on the beds, test out the t.v., explain to the kids it's only lunchtime, not dinner......should get down to the bar soon thereafter. I have sorta short light brown hair with blonde highlights and a bandage on the right big toe. I'll put a pompom on it so you don't have to stare. CRUELLA!!!! "Maybe I should just wear my Cruella hat.....". You're right, no one would miss you, including the Orlando Vice squad. No wonder your daughter is worried about you! Am hitting the tanning bed Tues., Wed., Thurs. Supposed to be some kind of high intensity instant tanner. Linda aka The Grandma

Hmmm, Orlando Vice Squad, huh?! I double dog dare you to wear the hat, Karen! Of course, if you do, Linda will probably ignore you! LOL Ahem....I'm afraid we will, too!!!

Ok, look for a toe-pom and a foofy cow; this should not be hard! Linda, where will your DGD's be? I know Devin will HATE being left out of anything and she LOVES kids (and they love her, too; she'll make a great mom someday) She'd like having little ones to watch. If the Hyatt there is like all the others, there should be a common area outside the bar where we could sit and chat and keep an eye on the younger ones, if you bring yours down. Just lemme know!

Tracy, I was kinda thinking of leaving Danielle and Kylie in the room watching tv since we'll have our walkie-talkies along. Not sure they would be comfortable with that, however, or me. I'd rather bring them to the bar area and if Devin is there, the girls will get along very well, I'm sure. Danielle just told me her favorite singers now are the A Teens who sing "I can't help falling in love with you", also Britney, of course. Kylie's favorite is Aaron Carter and his song, "It's a kid baby". Kylie is into Barbie's and Danielle likes the Brats dolls. Danielle loves golf, Kylie soccer. Danielle is also bringing her Cruella costume, Kylie her Belle and Cinderella costumes. The girls will have a lot to talk about. Linda

Oh yes, the girls will have a lot to talk about, Linda! Devin likes the A teens, Aaron Carter and Bratz!!! I'll tell her she can come, too, so she can meet them. She'll like that! Even though she's 11, she's very much an innocent; we didn't want her to grow up too soon! Now if I can get her to understand what bed time is! LOL

there is a thread posted by MarkLem which says Free Drinks Aboard Ship. Looking for something to go with my rum and vodka, I thought there might be some ideas. Sure enough, someone posted that they bring powdered lemonade and mix it in their cabin. I replied and commented that in addition to the 101 things we're told to bring, are we also to add a pitcher? Yup! They bring a 2 qt. pitcher in their suitcase!!! So, Tracy, you go get it and I'll just knock on your door. Linda

Oh, I did forget to pack my pitcher - thanks Linda! Well, I now have to FIND the silly thing - we were showing our house a few weeks ago and I threw everything slipshod in whatever cabinet I could find...

Luckymom - are you going to be at the Hyatt, too? I'm too lazy to read the other posts if you already put that somewhere! LOL Our flight gets in at 4 pm EST and since Southwest doesn't feed you, I know everyone will be starving so we'll probably drop off our luggage and head down to the restaurant first thing.

Y'all are not going to believe what's happened to me now... somehow I got a horrible knot in my left shoulder muscle and had to have Russell take me to the dr. today. Since I didn't move a strange way (it just started last night before I went to bed) the dr. seems to believe that I've "stressed" myself into it. I can't move my head without a great deal of pain, so I'm having to resort to an anti-inflammatory. If I'm not better by Wednesday night, I'm going to pay a visit to my physical therapist on Thursday to see what she can do to help me. After I had my knee rebuilt a year ago, she was a Godsend! Looks like I'm going to get to tell her that, again! Here I've been worried about my MIL and I'M the one that needs help! Sheesh, ONLY me.... I guess we'll all have to compare battle wounds when we meet!

No, we are not staying at the Hyatt. We are driving up in the morning. I'm just not sure what time to be at the terminal. I've seen posts about folks getting there at 10 or 10:30am. But thats Michael's nap time and I don't think he would sleep too well in the terminal. I thought we would plan to be there around noon. If you all were going to be there, I would start to look for you ( the group with the Minnie mouse shoe, Cruella wig, and a huntchback!). Anyway - hope you feel better soon!!

WELL EVERYONE, this is probably my last day to reply to anything - my mom, daughters and I are driving to Floriday and we leave in the morning.

I finally got luggage and got pretty much everything packed. We leave Oklahoma around 8:30 - 9:00 tomorrow morning - well, really when my mom gets situated first - then we'll be ready - I'm ready to leave tonight.

Anyway, thanks everyone for such a wonderful time getting ready for this cruise - and boy do I need it. It'll be the best vacation I think I've ever had in my life and I can't wait to meet you all. My girls are especially excited and I had to print extra copies of the list Marco did so they can go over everyone's names etc.
