Yes I count 6 families! All from different States and Countries. How cool is that:bounce: :bounce:

I definitely agree that we all need to meet the very first day. It is so exciting to talk to people you are actually going to be vacationing with before you get there and to boot it's individuals you've never met before. This is so exciting. Any of you have the late seating for dinner? My family and beachgirls have late seating. I believe LDB1030 has early seating. Maybe we'll all be close and will really be able to party big the whole time. I hope I have new pen pals when I come home, too.

We have late dining too.
But we will be, most probably, in a different "rotation".
There will be only the two of us without children.

Restaurant assignemet rotation is based on the age of the children of the group. We will be (almost for sure) in the rotation LAPLAPL (i.e. the first evening at Lumiere's, then at Animator's Palate then at Parrot Cay...).
Groups with small children will start with Animator's (APLAPLA) and groups with teenegers will start with Parrot Cay (PLAPLAP).

Moreover we will consider to have dinner at Palo, tuesday at 8 PM (subject to availability). We have chosen tuesday because, with any rotation, this will be the day where you should eat for the third time in the same restaurant.

Note that Palo is an Italian Restaurant :earseek:

ciao

We have the late seating but are on the waiting list for first. Our kids are 8 & 4 so we think the first would be better. I am sure we can figure some way to meet.:p
Have a great Lord's day everyone:D

Marco1 -- Since we didn't do Palos on our last cruise, I would like to try it on this one. I'm not much for Italian, but I read in someone's trip report that at either the brunch or dinner, they have crab legs and lobster, all you can eat. Do you know which eating time this might be? This is the one I would really like to attend. Also, is the only charge the $5/pp plus if you want to tip more, and of course your alcoholic drinks?

here it is:

BRUNCH:
Palo also features a Brunch on the seven-day cruise. It requires reservations and a $10 surcharge. It includes a very nice glass of Champagne. You begin with a trip to the window of the kitchen to hear about the entree choices from the chef. You then give your order to your server, and are directed to a little buffet with wonderful Italian cold meats, cheeses, shrimp, and crab legs, as well as a pastry table with the best croissants you will find on the ship. If you still have room to eat your entree, by all means. Then there is a dessert table where you can help yourself. Plan to stay a while. There's a LOT of food, and if you want to get a taste of it all, pace yourself!

Hey everyone - how about maybe we can all meet by the pool sometime Saturday after everyone gets settled in? But, what time could that be OR maybe after everyone completes their dinner and before people start retreating to their suites we can meet? Just some suggestions.

DAP&I - thanks for the compliment on our family picture - I'm sure your family is equally as cute! I don't know about being big, but I'm certainly no skinny person!!!!! I just hope someone doesn't think I'm a beach whale as I lay on the beaches!!!! I mean my last name use to be BEACH - and my girls still is ha, ha :D

Anyway, everyone that wants to meet - lets try and get something set. We'll be the best cruise that will have ever set sail!!!!!!:Pinkbounc

I know that ldb1030 and Paintbusters got their docs yesterday - has anyeone else - didn't get mine like I was hoping?

We did NOT get docs. We just got our shore excursion information that can be booked 60days prior to sailing if paid in full!:)

SORRY - I misunderstood - but I didn't even get those - maybe they'll come tomorrow! I've been paid in full for over a month so maybe I'm in line to get them - how different are these compare to the "actual docs" - :smooth:

It's just a letter explaining that you can now pre-book your excursions and a request form on the back.
Also, a shore excursion book explaining them to you.
An excursion fact sheet w/ the length, departure time and cost listed.
And they also enclosed a magical treasures brochure.
:D

Hi,

Very nice idea to meet.
We'll love to meet all of you :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Maybe we can meet NEAR GOOFY'S POOL STAGE ABOUT 3.00 P.M.

I guess most of us have, at that time, already got reservations, changes in dining assignments (if any) ... :smooth:
I and wife plan to enjoy the walking ship tour (2.30 P.M.) ... then we'll be strolling around until the MANDATORY BOAT DRILL at 4.00 PM

Maybe between 3.00 PM and 4.00 PM all of us will have some spare time, so perhaps we can meet at that time.

If you all have a photo/ picture of your family available, we would like to receive it. We will send our photo to you as soon as we get your email. It would be EASIER to meet: hundreds of people will stroll the pool! :(

Hi - 3:00 sounds excellent for the beachgirls - I just emailed you our family picture - will try and get it to show up on all my replys so everyone can see what we look like so we can find each other easier. Now all I have to do is find the Goofy pool stage - shouldn't be hard for me as I'm pretty goofy myself.

Hey everyone! We would like to meet also. I guess 3:00 is okay. My Dad and his wife will be with us so I will check with them, but I am sure it will be okay.:bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce:
See you all soon:D

We'll be there at 3 p.m. as well. I'd like to do the walk of the ship as well. Just didn't want anybody to think I was too corny since I've been on the Wonder. I'm curious to see the differences on the Magic.

GREAT - THEN WE CAN ALL TRY AND MEET AT 3:00 - I'M TRYING TO DOWN LOAD OUR FAMILY PICTURE TO SHOW UP WHEN I LEAVE REPLYS TO THREADS - DON'T KNOW IF I DID IT OR NOT - IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW- LET ME KNOW.

Thanks, beachgirls, for the invite to this thread! I was wondering if there were any other families from here going on "our" cruise! LOL We're practically counting down minutes, we're that anxious!

We'll be on deck 6 in rooms 6144 and 6146. We are Russell, Tracy, Devin (DD 11), Greg (DS 6) and Shirley (my MIL) Does anyone know how luggage is handled if you come in the Friday night before? We'll be staying at the airport Hyatt and I wasn't sure if we were to take our luggage from the plane or just leave it and let DCL take care of it.

We've already reserved our excursions thru DCL, so if anyone wants to do that this far in advance to make sure you get what you want, here's the email I received from DCL:

"You may call our Special Services Desk at 1-877-566-0968, write an email to DCL.Shore.Excursions@disney.com or fax us at 407 566-7031 to request your shore excursions. We accept shore excursion requests starting at 60 days prior to your sail date only. Please include your 8 digit reservation number and full first and last name when corresponding via email or fax." HTH someone! I called and they didn't ask for a credit card #, so I don't know if that means we don't pay for it if we can't make it....

If someone here coordinates a meeting time and place, please let me know. We're going to ask for the dining rotation PLAPLAP so we can be in PC for Tropicalifragilistic.... night. We also have early seating - anyone else?

I'm trying so hard not to become overwhelmed with this trip, but it's our first cruise and we're so excited... I'm afraid DH may end up sitting on me to keep me still as it gets closer! LOL

Beachgirls and I have scheduled our excursions with DCL (did it yesterday as a matter of fact). It took 40 minutes over the phone but it's taken care of. They even faxed me the confirmation. Everything will be charged to our onboard account. We have until 7 days before embarkation to make any changes or cancellations. After that, we have to pay for it whether we use it or not. We have late seating as well as BeachGirls. I believe ldb1030 has early seating with you guys.

I don't know our dinner rotation and did not request it. This is our 2nd cruise. Did the 3-day Sept 2000 and enjoyed so much we are doing 7-day and talked sister, nieces and mother into going. Myself, DH, DS (15) & DD (12) are flying in the morning of the cruise. Beachgirls and DM are driving to Florida a few days before and will be staying the night around the port. We are in room 8046. Can't wait to meet everyone!

We did the 7-day eastern last july (7-7-02). IT WAS HOT!!! My 18 DD got her hair braided at St. Martin and her forehead got burnt really bad. Her head was swollen for days. We ended up spending with tips and everything on board $700.00 this was for four people with no children. We rode the local bus in St. Martin and saw the french side and shopped in the outside markets for about an hour. We did our own excursion to Trunk Bay from the all the info on this board. It went smoothly, costs lest than disney charged and we had more time on the island. We had cabin 6028 great location. Hope this helps. Have a great trip, I cant wait to do it again.

Marco 1 - Palos was $10.00, plus we left an additional tip, and received a thank you note on our door. There was crab legs and plenty of other fancy things, we ate a late lunch so we wouldnt have missed our dinner rotation. There were plenty of openings for the lunch hours. We used a day at sea for this.
