Well it is time for me to jump in here and say "HI" I am Mickeyhuggers husband. Looking forward to meeting everyone. We have sailed with OHMOM and IAMAPRINCES before. We are cruising with 2 other families that are big DCL cruisers.

This is up to you. We do not have any "rules" for the FE exchange.

I guess this would depend on the gift involved. Is this something the whole family can enjoy together (picture frame, cd, scrapbook, etc.)? Is it something that siblings would fight over if only 1 got something and no one else did??

I, personally, am giving a gift to everyone in the stateroom. People will be receiving both individual gifts and group gifts.

We were on a 7 day in 2005, and just getting around to going again. Traveling is DH ken, DW Terri, DD12 Morgan, and DS9 Nathan. Since this is my first time on a forum, I would welcome any suggestions, tips, or constructive comments! My DD and DS would love to find some friends to pal around with. (My daughter insisted upon adding the emoticon)

My family and I are on this cruise. I am a newbie to these boards, so I am learning. It will be our 8th Disney Cruise, but new to the fish extender club . I signed up on the spread sheet, but what do I do next? What is the Cruise Meet and Candy exchange? Some advice is much appreciated

Two things... This is my first cruise as GTY. Approximately when will they assign cabins? I understand there is a 5k walk/run/crawl on Castaway Cay. Does anyone have anymore information about it as my grandson would like to participate? Like, how/when do you register? What happens and when?

I was looking at the FE list and am a bit dismayed that the number of participants isn't larger. I've never sailed on the Fantasy and was expecting a larger number than I have seen on the smaller ships. Also, there is a column for "Candy Exchange" on the FE list. I have never heard of that.

I'd like info on the Castaway 5K as well

Yes. Everyone that is signing up for the Cruise Meet and FE exchange are on the spreadsheet. The list will be in stateroom order. (I work on it every once in a while).

Closer to cruise date, I will include a link to a Deck Map for all of the FE participants. The link will be in the first post of the first page of this thread.

Check out this recent thread (and her blog link) for some good information on the 5K run/walk. I did it in 2010 and it was very hot running on the runway, even at 9 am when I did it. Having said that, I was glad I did it!

Wow our group really grew!

I'm glad I ordered extra gifts! I didn't pay attention for a couple days and the list really grew!

I think I leave in 50 days!
I may be "helping" my daughter with the FE if she doesn't get started soon.
She is about to wrap up her school years and will have a bit more time.
She loves to make stuff but she procrastinates like her dad

I count over 70 participants.

I'm certainly not poo-pooing the rate of participation but I presumed that with more guests on the larger ship there would be proportionally more FE participants. In actuality I am very happy with the number of gifts I will potentially have to bring across the country.

BTW, thanks for the info on the 5k and candy exchange.

WOW! The FE group really has grown! I guess I better make some decisions soon as to what I am doing.... I also have a tendency to procrastinate on that stuff and before I know it I have all of these FE's to get together!

I ordered some gifts. Making my wife cray because I haven't shared the details w/ her

She was trying to look up my order on line to see what I got.

I am SOOO ready for this cruise. We have our air travel posted at the store and it makes me smile knowing the 26th is so close now.

My daughter, the crafty, is about to get out of school for the summer so she will have some time to make the FE for us.

I get my shirts back from the cleaners today so I can start packing!

I've been communicating with DDiL, planning our special time with our DGC before the cruise at AKV, Kidani. We're going to have dinner at Trails End the night before we set sail. Is anyone planning to go to the TOWL to see the fireworks from there that night?

I do plan to ask DDiL if we can bring the kids to the "get together" as we arrive on the ship.

Got our room. 6502. I have updated the FE spreadsheet. Was GTY for an Inside Cabin. Yay!

On our last cruise, Eastbound Panamal Canal, there was a Chocolate Night where there were deserts galore in one of the restaurants at around 11PM. Does anyone know if there is one on this cruise?

Also, there were some DISboard'ers that hooked up ahead of time to get seated with other DISboard'ers for meals that have like interests or kids. Anyone interested in doing that. We will be traveling with our 12yo grandson and I'm sure he would appreciate a 11-13yo friend at dinner.
