Yes...thats me alright...the DIS trouble maker ....so what kind of organized events would we like to do on this cruise with us all....I have a few ideas any ideas from anyone else???

Maybe we can do a Palo brunch and a ,magnit exchange or a game of name tag(can explain that later) and other fun things...

These things make the cruise even more fun...any idea's to throw on the table???

Tag and magnet exchange sounds good. We could also plan a wine tasting party. We've done this on several cruises. Everyone brings a favorite beverage from their local area to share. It works great as a way to meet people early in the cruise.

Hello Cruisemates!

I like the idea of the exchanges and the wine party. But for us...bringing alcohol all the way from Hawaii may be a bit much. We would be happy to bring some snack items for the party like Macadamia nuts, chocolate macadamia nuts, etc.

Our cruise last July we even brought shell leis for our get together party.

I know of at least one other couple booked for this cruise. So, I guess we will just have to work a little harder to keep the thread going until a few more people join .Ken

I guess we would be the "other couple". Carolyn and Alex from Lake Mary Florida (just north of Orlando). We are booked on the B2B crossing/med cruises, this cruise and the 5day Bahamas cruise 9/1/2008. I try to keep up with all the boards, but the earlier cruises get most of my attention.

We did speak to someone at DCL guest relations and to Tom McAplin, both said that DCL had no plans on celebrating the 10th anniversary of DCL. If we keep focusing on the subject and plan an "event" for July 30th, maybe DCL will change their minds.

Michael is also booked on this cruise, a single guy who was on the maiden voyage with us and it is his birthday while on the cruise. He definately wants to celebrate. Alex

Glad you checked in Alex! Hey, I am going to book the 9/1/08 cruise also, but am waiting til Jamie and I get on board for our little Easter Cruise to book so we can get the onboard 10% discount.

I say we start planning our 10th anniversary party and talk it up while we are on the Magic so the CM's start talking about it too, then maybe DCL will come around and plan a great celebration!

Well looks as though there are at least 3 of us so far that were on the 2005 Westbound Repo cruise....and know were on this cruise together...sounds like fun. The Repo cruise was great. Did any of you go to the auctions and did you see the piece of the Panama Canal sell for over $5,000.00!!!

So tell me were any of you the ones who bought it? We did not but we did but alot of other art.

We could not do the Repo again due to kids school schedual and my oldest starting Highschool. Also school testing at the time. We took them out in 2005 but they were in Elementary school at the time. Big difference for Middle and Highschool.

So that is why we chose to the back to back MR...14 days is a must..7 days is to short.

Well, if you were on the May 2005 Repo, then there are 4. Us, seaulater and first timers shared a dinner table. That was a great trip!

None of us bought that piece of the canal. There were several pieces just sitting on deck 4 at one point. Just didn't think about picking any up. Oh well.

We really didn't want to do the PC cruise again, so this one works well for us - and our daughter gets to go this time. (she missed the 05 PC cruise because of school).

I know what you mean about 7 days being to short. That's why we are doing the East Bound repo to the Med and the first Med cruise. 25 days! Can't wait.

25 days that should be lot's of fun....are you sailing there and than cruising through the Med than flying home...how are you doing it. Could check on the DCL sight to see how it goes again but figuered I's ask you

Is your daughter going with you on the Med cruise? We had thought of doing that also but could not think of flying with my kids for 14 hrs

...so that is when we decided to do the 5 days at WDW and 10 day christmas cruise this past Dec. Would sure have loved to sail the Mediterranian(sp)...maybe when they get older....

You got it - 14 day repo and 11 day cruise. Fly CA to Fl then cruise to the med then fly Barcelona to CA. No daughter - can't miss the school days that late in the year. She is doing a 4 day in July and then this 7 day - so she can't complain to much.

I noticed that you live in Ventura....I use to live in Encino....than got tiered of all the pollution so moved here to SanDiego....was the best move I could ever had made....

were from Jersey origanally but have lived out here in Ca. for 29 years...

I was raised in Glendale, so I know about the air pollution issues. Hot around here yesterday - mid to high 80's with strong winds. Went for a bicycle ride and almost didn't make it back.

we have the winds today...but there is a storm coming in...if you can call what we get, storms...lol...I have been very busy so wont be able to play on DIS much till Tuesday due to my niece who arrived today to live with us...long story and will get into it as we get to know each other better...lol...

So how are you all doing today??? I myself am doing just fine her in the wild wild west of California. Have been very busy getting my troubled niece settled in...she should make the time before know and the cruise go very fast...lol...

So besides me who is ready to set sail today...I am...I am a SAHM and Dh works out of the house and I am very involved with the schools and know instead of 2 children I know have 3. She is 15 soon to be 16.

should be a fun house...a troubled 16 yo...my one son just turned 13 my other is 11 and me well lucky them...I am going through menopause..either that or I have mad cow disease....I am 49 but have been told that I am alot of fun so that may work as a plus...

You will learn alot of interesting things about me over the next year....I promise to make your reading interesting....so get the popcorn ready ...I have no problems letting you know who I am and I will not give you any lies....I am as I will appear... hope I don't scare anyone

You can ask me anything and you can not shock me...but to start with I am not a mean or nasty person and will not do anything to hurt your feelings...so know you know a little bit of who I am....
