I started a thread like this months ago and forgot about checking back here and I don't see one made for this cruise. Anyways, we are on this Mexican Riviera cruise and it's getting closer!! :Pinkbounc I'd love to meet some more people on our cruise. This is our first cruise and it will be my dh and I and our two kids, who will 6 and almost 5 when we cruise.

Yay! Does this mean I have the Mickey boat all to myself??? :earboy2:

Anyone else out there on this cruise?? :confused3

Hi! We will be there! Myself, husband and two boys 10 and 12. Have you looked at the excursions yet? I was looking last night. I have a very adventurous 10 year old who wants to try the jungle canopy trip. I don't know if I'm ready for that! I can't wait! Are you staying in the area before the cruise or after? We are trying to decide what to do. We are from Long Island. :cool1:

Hi! We are from Southern California so I will be here before and after the cruise :)

The canopy excursion looks really neat. We were in Puerto Vallarta in 2003 for a week and we loved it! I can't wait to go back. We're still trying to decide on the excursions because we want to do the swim with dolphins with the kids but we are also thinking about going up the Marietas islands which we did last time and it was beautiful there. Our kids are too young for the canopy tour but I'm sure my son would love it.

I'm so glad someone finally responded! :Pinkbounc

I was looking at the Marietas Snorkel & Kayak Tour! It sounds like you would recommend it? The dolphins sound great too. A little pricey but may be worth it. We have never been to any of the stops on the cruise. I am originally from Whittier, CA. We are combining our trip to see family, most likely before the cruise. Can't wait!

Hi all,

We will be on the 7/23 cruise also. This will be our 5th Disney cruise, we were happy to see a new itinerary and are really looking forward to it. We have never cruised there before so it will all be new us. As long as I get enough beach time I'll be happy. We used our DVC points to trade for an Alaskan cruise, that was great!

We just started to look at the excursions for this cruise, there seems to quite a few choices.

hereigns- The Marietas Islands were beautiful. We had a small boat take us out there for just the four of us and we were able to jump out and swim around and snorkel. My husband was the only one who could snorkel because I had my two (at that time were 4 and 3) swimming with me. They still remember swimming through the cave. We're still trying to decide if we want to go back up there or do the swim with the dolphins while in Puerto Vallarta.

Mdtigger99- Hi! I've always wanted to do an Alaskan cruise. Everything I've heard about them has been fabulous.

My mum (71 and going through her second childhood!) and I are going on this cruise. This will be our 5th DCL cruise and we are combining it with 2 weeks at WDW, 1 week at DL for the 50th birthday.
Looking forward to meeting you all
Wendy

My family will also be on this cruise. It is our third cruise but first on Disney. I am sailing with my husband, son-5, daughter-almost 2, mom, sister, brother-in-law and niece-2. We are very excited  and have been looking forward to this cruise for a long time! :earboy2:

I am sure you will have a wonderful time - the ship is amazing!

Hi everyone,

I have a reservation for this cruise, I was suppose to be going with my daughter who is 21. She has to take a summer class at college and cant take a week off of school. I now find myself in the position of having to find someone to share the expense of the cabin. I have put a notice on every board that I can find. I really really want this cruise. If anyone knows someone who might be interested please send them my way. I have 2 cousins who will be sailing as well with their families. 1 of these cousins I have never met but the other is closer to me than my sisters. Her son is my godson and I am looking forward to spending some time with him. He just turned 10 and I haven't seen him in 5 years. I look forward to meeting on board if I make it.

Diane :earboy2:

It's been a long while since I've checked this board. I just made my final payment today!!! :Pinkbounc The cruise is getting close and I've got a lot to do to prepare for it.

We had reserved the REAS packaged but I decided to cancel since we could do the bookings online now. I have to wait 75 days before the cruise which I think is Monday. Has anyone else booked excursions or anything else for the cruise?

Just away to do the same thing! It is great we can do it online isn't it - because we have sailed before I can do it now I think - well I will give it a try!
Wendy

I made our final payment yesterday! Now I'm planning on booking the excursions. It's getting close, very exciting! My boys, 10, and 12 wouldn't let us cancel even though we had seconds thoughts about the expense. :cool1:

I haven't booked anything yet, but you are right, Monday is 75 days before we leave!!! I was thinking about trying to book late Sunday night since I am on the West Coast, but I wasn't sure when they start allowing reservations (Monday at 12:01am etc.) If anyone knows, please let me know. I was planning on booking my excursion (I think we have decided to do the beach one in Puerta Vallarta because we have three small children traveling with us. I think this is the only one we plan to do). Does anyone know if you have to pay for the excursions now when you book, or at a later date? I will also try to get Palo reservations and my Flounders reservations so they match. Other than that I am not sure yet. I am so excited about being able to book everything in advanced because now I will not feel like I have to rush around when I first board, but I can relax and enjoy my cruise from the minute I arrive.

I was able to book everything I wanted today. Now although I have sailed before I have never received my castaway card number as we live in the UK. So the site doesn't recognise me as being a return cruiser. So it might be worth trying today to book.
Wendy

Wow, I'm so glad I look at these boards! I was able to register for the kids club and reserve Palo on the website. I wasn't able to get Palo reservations on our first cruise and I was very disappointed. Booking excursions  is next!
