Yay Osric, you're already up to six posts! :thumbsup2

I have to admit that DH and I are quite excited about this cruise, too! :goodvibes We're very fond of The Magic since she was the first ship we ever sailed on, way back in 1998 (her Inaugural year!). We've been fortunate to sail on her again three more times (Mediterranean, Mexican Riviera, and Baltics). We're eager to see all the new changes! :)

Having been to the Baltics on DCL already, we know what to expect, and that is a great feeling! The only new port for us is Tallinn. Plus we get to spend more time in London, which is a great bonus for us! :goodvibes

Will you try the AquaDunk? It will take a bit of courage for me to do it, but I'm determined to try it at least once. :scared1:

Can't wait!!!!!! :hyper:

Hi,
Oh yes - I will be trying AquaDunk for sure - looks brilliant! I'm sure my DD will want to try it as well?!?! :roll eyes:
BTW - if anyone travelling over to London/UK from the US wants any travel advice - just let me know. I think we've got it pretty well covered on the Forum already - but always happy to offer my (limited) London knowledge?!

Hi there, just quite a few Brits quite a few live and work In London, I spend 45 hours a week within the M25 zone anywhere and everywhere, and Aldo on the Magic in your weeks.

If anyone wants any info on London or the magic as were are on it then there will be updates on my facebook

It will be me the DH :smickey:, DW ::MinnieMo, DS 20 :earboy2:, DS 17 :stitch2:, and my parents aka Grandpa :goofy: & Grandma :tink:

I booked this cruise opening day, but didn't subscribe to the cruise thread, as I wanted to make sure we would definitely be cruising these dates. Well, my parents decided to join us about a week ago, so I am pretty sure that we'll be on the boat with the rest of you. :cool1::cool1:

I know the DW will be interested in joining the FE, but not sure that I want to haul all of the extra cr*& (I mean goodies) :rotfl2: in our luggage across the pond! Watch this space I guess? :stir:

We'll certainly be interested in joining the FB group, even though I'm more of a lurker than poster. I'm sure the DW will make up for me. :worship:

Welcome

Thanks. Do you, by chance, happen to know the name of the one between St Paul's and the Millennium bridge? And, can you tell me the names of some of the family owned sandwich places? DH can be a bit grumpy when he's hungry, so I'd rather avoid having to tell him, "Andrew says there's a good place to eat somewhere on Chancery Lane. I don't know where, exactly. And, I don't know the name of the place. But you'll be able to eat when we do find it." :rotfl:

Photos taken today posted on the FB group page

Hi All,
Whilst I'm still working my way towards the FB group access (?!?!) - can anyone who went on the equivalent cruise back in 2010 give any advice on things to do, or things/places they really enjoyed?? (Appreciate 1 or 2 of the ports were different??)
Would be particularly interested to hear about things/places the kids loved doing?!
Thanks.
Andrew
(No need for any info on Helsinki - it's my work HQ location, so travel there regularly! (Must make sure I don't end up at the office, when we disembark next year?!))

Weclome Andrew, I can't offer you any info on the other ports (we're also Brits) but would appreciate any insight you have on Helsinki - tourist trail, unusual locations from your work colleagues etc?

I went in 2010 and some musts.

St Petersburg.

Really look into booking one or two days with a local tour operator such as Anastasia travel, you will see so so much more and have your own guide and it can work out cheaper for a family than DCL, if you do this they will organize a cruise visa and you can get offs showing your tickets from them as your border control forms. At St Petes you cant just walk off its either a DCL tour or a private approved tour not DIY.

Copenhagen ,Stockholm, and Tallin the city is close to the port. These are easy to go DIY and not get lost.

You can get car parking at Dover it is cheap, the rail station is a taxi away at Dover Priory.

I am on the Magic in three weeks in the Med if you have questions just ask.

Hi. Leave it with me. I'm away with Finnish colleagues next week and will come back to you with some further information and up to date recommendations.

Hi. Many thanks Disney Fantasy - I will start to look into St Petersburg. Will get back to you at some point on the Dover parking (did I see another one of your posts on this thread much earlier?) - but will contact you directly via one medium or another! (Plenty of time to sort that out yet?!) Andrew

Yes agree.

Hi everyone

Loving the coverage of the Tour de France at the moment. I know I'm biased as it is travelling through my home county but the scenery is looking pretty good in the sunshine!

Hope you have a great time on the Magic DISNEY FANTASY! Looking forward to reading about it and seeing the pictures on you blog.

Thank you will do and TTOF is in London tomorrow!

Think it needs renaming this year!
Can't complain its good for the economy!

Most years the TOF starts in another country people pay good money as it's a world ever, today again after Wimbledon at the weekend people can see the best capital city in the world on display.

Can anyone confirm the all aboard time for the first day in SPB is 6:15 PM? I was hoping we would have a longer day in port since we don't arrive until 9:30 AM and there are so many things to see.

No, we overnight there so there is no all aboard time listed. 6:15 is for the second night.

That's what I thought but the all aboard time is listed as 6:15 PM for both days in SPB on the itinerary DCL sent me after I booked. I asked my TA and she confirmed with DCL. I'm bummed because we really wanted to maximize our time in port.
