Starting a new thread for the July 22nd, 2012 aboard the Beautiful DREAM!!! We just got off our Alaska cruise today and am already looking forward to our next cruise!!

Let's have a great group and do Fish Extenders and a Group Palo dinner to celebrate!!

CELEBRATING: Our daughter Elora will have just graduated high school, we will be cruising as Gold Castaway club members... First cruise on a new ship and hey, we just love Disney Cruises!!!

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :thumbsup2

Have a great cruise!

Count us in! This is our first Disney Cruise! My dh and I have sailed with Carnival three times before, but this is our first ever family cruise and the kids are all thrilled! We'll have our 17 dd, 13dd, 10 ds, and 7 ds with us. We're so excited to do the fish extenders and would love to meet other DisBoarders at Palo.

Counting the days...

Hello! We will be first time sailers on board the Disney Dream in July2012. We are very excited and would wlecome any suggestions and tips you would have prior to sailing. PLease keep us posted as to news and events, I have heard wonderful things about the disboard and the people we can meet prior to sailing! Looking forward to all the fun! ME , DD (turning 10 on board the ship) and DD (7)

Browneyegirls, Looks like we had kiddos the same ages! Our youngest are also 10 and 6, both boys. We may see each other in the Lab!

Our oldest girls have been anticipating with us, but we're getting ready to tell the boys about the cruise at Christmas. Then we can finally begin our official countdown together. Can't wait!

Greetings from the Hong Family. We will be joining you all on the 7/22 cruise. We have two children, DD 17, also will have just graduated and a DS 13. Looking forward to taking them on their first cruise.

We would also love any information on how the fish extender activity actually works, please. My husband and I took a disney cruise 19 years ago and don't remember seeing these. Thanks.

Hello Everyone! My DH and I will be on this cruise too! We will be celebrating our 7th anniversary! My parents are also coming along. This is our very 1st cruise and are really really excited. My parents were on the Dream in November and loved it. I know we have a lot to learn so any tips would be appreciated! Looking forward to the planning!

Hello all. My wife and I have booked the 7/22 double-dip. This will be our third Disney cruise but the first on the Dream. The first was our honeymoon after our wedding at Disney's Wedding Pavillion just over eleven years ago. We sail just a few days after my 40th birthday so we are leaving our sons at home and are looking forward to blissful relaxation with a little fun thrown in. (and a few strong drinks) We're new to the DIS boards so this will be a fun experience cruising with you all.

Hello All from the Hudson Family! This will be our 7th Disney cruise and first on the Disney Dream! Daughters will be 7 & 14. We are intreasted in the fsh extenders as well had fun with this the last cruise. Looking forward to meeting you all! :goodvibes

Welcome Hudson Family. So glad to hear your family is interested in the Fish Extender Fun. Our family is also looking forward to this part of the cruise experience and would love to hear the "details" of your past Fish Extender fun.

When would be the best time to start planning for a meet and greet, as well as a fish extender exchange? We'll be on our very first ever Disney cruise, but I'd be happy to help set something up if no one else wants to take it on. Not sure if it's too early or not, but maybe some of the Disney veterans would be able to guide us in the right direction.

Counting down the days...:yay:

I am so glad someone else is asking "is it too early". We are tremendously excited to be on our first "family" cruise and are more than ready to begin planning. I say let the planning begin. :yay:

With that said, I have already begun a list of those who have posted, their ages, gender and if they have shown an interest in participating in a Palo meal or an FE. So, if anyone else is interested in it, just let me know. I also am willing to lead or assist in organizing the FE. Just offering my services if you all want.

Being this is our first cruise since finding the DIS boards the FEs sound like fun. For any adults that can get away there are multiple bars that would make a good meeting place.:thumbsup2

I have a question maybe someone can help me with. In regards to theme nights, I have read in posts that in 2011 Pirate Night was typically held on the day we visit Nassau whick for our cruise would be the 3rd night. However I could swear I read -somewhere- that this year for our cruise Pirate Night would be held on the the 4th night, the day at sea. I just can't remember where. Does anyone have any insight to this or have read something similar? Thanks very much for your input.

Hey y'all - Greetings from Alaska. My husband and I have just booked a room. So we will be joining you. We took our first Disney cruise in Nov to MR with the whole family. We left with plans to go on three more cruises. I guess you can say we are hooked. Our next cruise is this one, then we have a week on the Fantasy next year with the kids and then we will be on the Magic in June for the 12 night Med cruise to Venice. (Can't wait til that one!!) After that, we will have been on all four ships!

We had to cancel our Hawaiian cruise, that is how we ended up on this cruise. We couldn't find anyone to watch our kids in Alaska while we left for 2 and half weeks. Darn. Oh well. We are looking foward to the double dip at CC and checking out the new ship.

We would be interested in the FE group if there are not too many rooms playing. I spent many hours working on FE gifts and they got left at home! That was very sad.

Hello! Glad we're not going to the only couple to cruise without their kids. Hope to get to meet you, and all here, aboard the Dream.

We are looking forward to being on the ship without the kids. There was so many things that we wanted to do but couldn't because the kids had activites they wanted to do. I am especially looking forward to the adult only beach at CC.

I hear you. The typical family vacation with young boys is wonderful but not very relaxing. This getaway for us is all about relaxing, drinks on the beach, good meals and sleeping in. :thumbsup2

Have you done the martini tasting? We did on our last DCL cruise and it was a blast. We were a little woozy at dinner though.:rotfl: It would make a great DIS boards outing.

Tamihong...I'd love to officially nominate you to take on the fish extender organization, if you're still interested! :lovestruc I'll be the first to post my information. Based on other threads I've been reading, I'm going to leave you with our names, cabin numbers, kids names and ages. If you need any help at all, please let me know and I'd love to pitch in.

Michele and Troy (adults)
Kayla (17, girl)
Anna (13, girl)
Will (10, boy)
Max (7, boy)
cabin number 5038
