July 20th, 2011 – 10 Night Mediterranean "Mickey's European Explorers"

I read somewhere (and now can't find it again) that if we provide a pillowcase and different color sharpies, we can drop it off somewhere on the ship and the character's will sign them. Does anyone know where we drop them off?

Any help would be great!! Thanks so much!!

Can't wait until we cruise :banana: getting so excited!!!!

You just drop it of at guest relations on the beginning of your cruise and they have it signed for you by the end ..did this 4 years ago with a T shirt for our son, came out very cute! Needless to say that Mickey and co love a little something for their job f.i. some candy ...:yay:

Hi all!
Is anyone else unbearably excited? I just can't wait! We leave for Barcelona 3 weeks on Monday and I am beside myself with excitement! Any news on a meet yet? Where is the best place to hold it? Somewhere with cocktails?!?!

Helen, we're really looking forward to leaving for Barcelona. We fly in on the Monday also.

Would be good to get together early on, think someone mentioned after the lifeboat drill?

Let us know.

Thank you for your messages - I think if I understand this correctly, we get a Fish Extender for our door and a small gift for each cabin (kids especially) in our group. I would like to do that - sounds like a lot of fun. I am not very good at navigating this discussion board!!! I just need to find my group of cabins and kid information so that I don't miss anyone. I am really looking forward to meeting you too - so impressed with your energy to start this and organize it. This will really be fun for the kids - and the adults!

One more request - can you resend my list of cabins and kid information?

See you in a few weeks!

Rose

Three weeks from Monday and we are starting to pack! My 15 year old daughter is probably the most excited!! My 16 year old niece and 17 year old nephew are worried that they will be the oldest kids on board - Anyone else have older teens coming?

Hello Kate- I found the 2 lists that you posted - we are on both - so I am good to go. Thanks again for all the work

Hi

No problems, glad you are still joining, please ask any questions you may have.

You are on the two lists, as you had separate cabins, so each one is treated as an individual with an FE for each one. If however, you would like to only have one cabin take part and therefore only one lot of gifts to buy, let me know.

I read somewhere that we will get to eat lunch on the ship (if we would like too) on the day we arrive while we are waiting to go to our rooms. Where does this take place? and will we need to be in our "cruise casual" or could we be in shorts or capri's?

Thanks!

There are two places to eat. One is the Buffet restaurant, which is at the back of the ship and you can eat out on deck, self service.

The other is Parrot Cay, which is again a buffet service, but table service for drinks etc. Most people who don't know, go up to the deck, which is very nice and I think Cast Members, tend to usher people up this way, Parrot Cay is actually a bit nicer and slightly more formal.

I will have a look on my old Navigators from last year, as to what time the lifeboat drill is, I think it is 4.00pm and when the best time is to slot in a quick meet. Unless anyone else has other ideas.

Oh and someone did ask me about the FE and which ones were the UK, I can't find the post now, but just to say, I haven't gone through each one to check, I know a few, but would need to look through the posts that people have made and see if they have given their location.

If anyone does this, let me know, as I have a gift too that is appropriate for those outside the UK!

Finally, Princessbelle39 is on the FE List, I am not sure she is on the cruise anymore, but I have PM'd several times and not got a reply. Does anyone know whether she is or not?

Thanks

Kate

Thanks Kate for the info! I have copies of the Navigator newsletter from the 11 night cruise that was at the end of May 2011 that someone on here sent me. It says they had their lifeboat drill at 4pm. if this helps you.
Thanks again for everything!!

Hi

Just to let you know that Princessbelle has come off List No.1.

I have also been told - not that I had noticed - that I'mall Ears was on twice, so I have take that one off List No. 2, so it is evened up.

Hope that is OK, sorry for any confusion. :confused3

You're welcome Meg! Just wanted to make sure other's were aware!!

My cousin just had his credit card number stolen in Paris and they were charged $4000.00 US. Yikes!! Yes, everyone be careful with credit cards and credit card numbers.

Hi everyone,

Just thought I'd jump in. This is our second Disney Cruise, first in the Med, and DS7 and DD5 are uber-excited!

I've just spent 3 hours planning the trip... back is aching hunched over the computer... but a good aching...

It seems we're a bit late on joining the FE... ah well, please let us know if anything changes.

Looking forward to seeing you all on board and hearing the signature horn of the Disney cruise!

Ed

Hello K8T - if you want to add my children's names to the FE list, here they are

DD 15 = Cassandra
DS 11 = George
DD 9 = Hannah
DD 6 = Madison

Grandma = "Sittee"
Dad = George
Mom = Rose

Thanks again for all this work - it will make the cruise even more fun!

I have gone back through posts and can't find it anywhere. I know I saw the dining rotation somewhere. Doses anyone know the order of nights - formal, semi, pirate, etc? I am trying to start packing for my DDs and can't find how dressy outfits I need. thanks

Welcome, If everyone else is ok with the idea, I think it would be great for you to join FE list #1. (a family just dropped out, so it might be perfect)

MEET UP - we might be pressed for time if we meet after the drill in the lounge. The deck party is supposed to start shortly after the drill (not always the case) What if we meet 20-30 minutes after the drill on the deck towards the right of the stage (facing the stage). There is usually a bar set up there too.
Possibly we could where a RED ribbon or string tied to your wrist or lanyard for identification to the meet.
Everyone from the thread is encouraged to join the meet!
Any thoughts??
Jill

Just a little FYI
