Pink Budgie or any other CCI person that may know, other than the 7-11 and little mini mart next store, is there a grocery store within (reasonable) walking distance of the hotel?

Those are the only two we went to. We bought more bottled water there, and then some medicine when my son got sick. We didn't walk another way so I'm not sure how far you would have to go to find something else. Those are definately the closest to CCI. If you check on Google maps you can see the names of the businesses there.

Looks like everyone is getting excited about their July Disneyland trip and they should be. July is just around the corner!

I have less than two weeks and can't believe it is almost here! But first got to get one DD off to her week long horse clinic and the other to her five day volleyball tournament in AZ. Good thing they both arrive back home before our trip. I'm starting to feel like all I do is pack!

I'm at 17 days until my first trip with my best friends! I just finished my grad program, and I'm determined to finish my online class before I leave so I can celebrate with no loose ends!

After a great trip in March we are going back next month, July 15-19th, staying at the Hilton this time as GC was not really an option, but we are converting to AP and have at least 3 other trips in various planning stages and possibly some spur of the moment trips as well.

Keep in mind we live in 1100 miles from Disneyland, have we gone over the edge yet? lol

Getting close to the end of June..woohoo!! 3 more days and I get to make Fantasmic Dessert Viewing reservations!! I am soooo ready for a vacation away from these AZ wildfires I have had to help 3 friends evacuate their homes..Hoping for some major rain soon!!

Edge? What edge? I nothing wrong with your plans. Sounds perfectly normal to me. After all, you are going to have to justify buying the AP. I have added you dates of travel to the first post.

Going to DLR and staying at the GCH is one of the best ways to celebrate a birthday. Your info has been added to the first post.

Remember a few years ago when all of Southern California was ablaze? The day the first fire started, we had checked out of the Grand California Hotel and were on our way to Phoenix for 6 days. It was weird to learn about the condition of the all the fires from CNN. I called a friend to find out how our area was doing and to check up our rabbits (they are housed outside). I was told that it was black out conditions at noon! By the time we got home, the fires near our area were under control. We missed the whole thing.

I wish the best for all of the towns in AZ effected by the fires. It is a scary to deal with the fires burning in such large areas in AZ.

Ok..all set for GCH 11-15 July..., reservations made, Fantasmic booked...just me and my two girls, for the first days, before DH turns up. Looking forward to it.

Funatdisney, I agree..the fires are indeed scary!! Many of the people affected in my area live in a rural area and have livestock. Thankfully, there are plenty of volunteer services to house the horses, etc. . The Monument fire has been blazing for 9 days now..44 homes lost so far. The National Guard was called in so hopefully things will fizzle down.

I definitely am! I've even been having dreams ... usually involving missing the flight, or something going awry. I'm at 13 days! Which my ticker would say ... but it seems the host site has gone down as it has been missing for the past few days. I'd hate to make a new one, because if I did, my little Pluto marker would be back at the beginning!

Today my Kleen Kanteens arrived. We're going to wear these in the parks (with insulated straps) to keep ourselves hydrated in the heat.

We're going to fill them up with ice and water in the morning, and maybe one of those powdered Crystal Light drink mixes. Then during the day we can refill them with water from fountains.

So excited for those leaving soon!! Hoping everyone has a safe and FUN trip!! Went to purchase my Nike flip flops ( must have those for every trip) and new sneakers. I have a few weeks to get them broke in! Gonna order Fantasmic Dessert Seating tickets today..then EVERYTHING is done on the list!! Woohoo!!
