July 2011 Check in Thread Post your travel dates and hotel here

We're heading out to Disney from July 21-23! Only 3 weeks till I get to ride Little Mermaid and the new Star Tours. Can't wait!

I have been quite busy lately, so I apologize for not keeping with thus thread. My eldest DD was off to a 7 day horse clinic. After she was done, we had to trailer back her horse (he was in training by the horse trainer putting on the clinic) and get her home, too. Then I was off to Phoenix to watch my youngest DD play in a five day volleyball tournament.

Now it is only two more days until I'm off to my romantic weekend with my DH. It is beginning to feel like all I do is pack and unpack every weekend. After this trip we are all in for the summer. I'm glad that the last trip is for me and hubby. A good way to end the frenzy that began this summer.

Ok..all set for GCH 11-15 July..., reservations made, Fantasmic booked...just me and my two girls, for the first days, before DH turns up. Looking forward to it.

Got you added. Lots of DIS'ers going to DLR on your dates.

Funatdisney, I agree..the fires are indeed scary!! Many of the people affected in my area live in a rural area and have livestock. Thankfully, there are plenty of volunteer services to house the horses, etc. :goodvibes. The Monument fire has been blazing for 9 days now..44 homes lost so far. The National Guard was called in so hopefully things will fizzle down.:goodvibes

I hope the fires have settle down for you all. While in Phoenix, I didn't hear too much about the fires. Between the 115 degree heat and watching one volleyball match after another, I sort of lost track of all national news and world news. I keep hearing about New Mexico now.

There are quite a few volunteers here to help out with livestock during an emergency here, too. Our horses are in a good area and fellow boards will help trailer out all horses to safer areas. Horse folks are the best of people in an emergency.

we are driving from vegas to celebrate our wedding anniversary. we will be at the ramada main gate from the 23rd-27th. we wanted to stay at GCH, but spending more on doing things seemed more fun says the wife. she is a smart one, so of course i listened.

We both love disneyland so it will be great to be together there. first time since married for us, we are super amped!

Got you added. It is a very nice way to celebrate an anniversary at DLR. Our trip this weekend is a postponement of our original anniversary trip from last October! But this weekend marks the 22nd anniversary of the first time I meet my DH. I think it is a good replacement date:).

I'm coming too! July 15-17 at the Ramada Maingate. Can't wait!

Added your info to the first post, too. It is little over two weeks until your trip. Soon you will be walking Main Street. Be sure to get yourself a caramel apple. They are my favorite sweet treat. Yummers!

Your info is added, too. I have tried Star Tours 2. You will be impressed and will want to ride more than a few times. I plan on getting a fastpass the first thing in the morning (in addition to the fastpass I'll get when I check in) ST2 rocks! I have yet to try Little Mermaid and will be one of the top must dos on my list.

There are only 22 days left!! We will be at Disneyland July19-25th. I can't wait!! As the days get closer the more excited we all are getting. We made reservations for WOC at Wine Country Trattoria. I keep reading its better at Ariel's Grotto. So, I am thinking of changing it. The cast member recommended choosing this location due to us having reservations for a Character lunch at Ariel's Grotto. That way we wouldn't have to eat at one location twice. If the food is better I really wouldn't care. I purchased the meal plan for 3 days so we will do 3 character meals. I am hoping since it is 8 of us the meal plan will be a good bargin. The gratuity is crazy though.

I must have missed you! I have added your dates to the list. and oh welcome to DISboards.

I have added a link for the 10 day forecast for DLR in the first post. Here is the link again:

I'm chomping at the bit. We leave next Friday morning! Staying at the Tropicana from the 8th-14th. Still thinking about visiting Priceline about an extra night somewhere.

We have decided to add on an extra Priceline night as well! I have had good experiences bidding on there for DLR area hotels ( if you dont mind driving or a shuttle). We will use the first night as a travel day and DTD shopping! Have fun on your trip!!:goodvibes

I added a few days to our trip but did not want to change my ticker..so 20 days to go..woohoo!!!:cool1: DD4 and I made a countdown chain yesterday..good fun!!

Aha, another fellow AZer!

We'll be driving from Show Low, so by the time I get there I may NEED an extra day. :rolleyes1

Will be there from July 10 thru July 17 with my daughter and her friend, staying at the Disneyland Hotel. For the last few days of the trip, will also be attending the CTMH Convention that is being held in the DLH.

We leave two weeks from tomorrow but I'm not excited thanks to you people here!

Last year I had no clue about this board and just showed up and enjoyed it now I am stressing over getting to do things. Buncha Jerks!!! ;)

:scared1:Show Low?? I totally understand! Ours is an 8 hour drive!! This is why I usually include a travel day! Right now people seem to be getting Doubletree OC on Priceline for 3.5 star bids. :)

We have an 8 hour drive from NorCal. If we leave early in the morning, we can get there around 2pm and go to DLR a little on arrival day. This trip we will head to Mermaid when we arrive since we will have no FPs anyway. Might also be a good day to see the Soundsational parade.

We are only going for one night, July 25th, and staying at the Red Lion. So excited for our first trip to California-----even more excited to ride the "better" Space Mountain!!!!
