Not much going on today, except that ....


WE'RE LEAVING AT 3:00PM!!!!!!!

A whole week ntil we arrive- ugh. The 4 of us driving leave Tuesday then the 13 flyers leave Thursday for our Magical vacation.

B) I think all kids have meltdowns at WDW (including mine) I'm convinced it's because everything is so stimulating!
C) I agree about every statement on the DIS and I read 'those' threads, too. I wouldn't post to one though!

I can't believe I just did this, but yesterday I booked a quick trip down from July 27 - 30th!

Down to single digits!!!

We're going for our 20th, and my wife's birthday, and our daughter's graduation. Congrats to you both!
Us, too! A week from this evening, we'll be heading south!

In 24 hours, we'll be on the road for our nice , short , relaxing 18 hour drive (straight through) to Disney!!!!!!

omg I really don't think I will be able to sleep tonight!! It is 6:41pm here (7:41pm Disney time) and we will be heading out in the morning at 4am!!!

Hey....we might be on the same road!!! Although I'm not brave like you! We ARE stopping...no way can I drive straight through. I'm too old for that. I haven't even packed yet though and still have about a billion things to do.

We went shopping for groceries today though for the car ride down. I walked in and DH went "why so much food? I thought you had the dining plan?" -- apparently he is not aware of how much his 3 sons eat! Little does he know there is actually MORE but it's at Grandma's house.

I have been running around all over the place today trying to get all the last minute stuff done.

I still need to:

clean out the car
pack our suitcases
FIND clothes the youngest is going to wear
Do laundry
Get an oil change (actually DH is going to do that one tomorrow)
Get all my printouts for everything
run around like a crazy person and I'm sure I will still forget something.

The PLAN is to leave my house by 4:30 AM and pick Grandma up by 5:00 AM...the reality may be that we are leaving my house at 5ish and getting her later unless I'm wide awake with the "I can't sleep" syndrome and we go but highly unlikely.

Where are you in Chicagoland? We are in Orland Park. DD is at fine arts camp at St. Mary's College in South Bend so we are leaving our house at 11:00am to pick her up, then leaving straight from there around 4:00pm Disney time. We should arrive in Kissimmee around Noon-ish on Saturday. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!

Thanks and yes we are having a blast. The only thing I would like to change is the humidity. WOW !!! it is unbelievable this time around for us. I do not remember it being so bad before.

I would recommemd everyone taking extra water and gatorade to make sure you stay hydrated. A few days ago a little girl had to be taken by ambulance to the ER because of the heat. Make sure you do not get to hot and take the time to rest too.

I lied! I will be FOLLOWING you...we leave Sat. around 4:30 AM, which is good because I'm STILL not packed. I do plan on doing that soon. Hee Hee.

I'm planning on getting off my chair and doing that soon! I figured I would enjoy my morning tea, check Florida weather, etc... before I get busy with everything else that needs to be done today!

I did clean out the car a little yesterday and I HAVE to remember to get Windshield Washing fluid (I forgot when I was at the store yesterday but you know I'm going to need that!).

My DD is all packed though! I saw her doing that last night. I just have to back for the boys & myself. Hee Hee.

I AM happy though that I got my TripTik in the mail yesterday! I was having a spazz moment since I didn't have it yet and although I have looked at the map about 50,000 times (plus have a GPS), it's a security blanket for me. In the scheme of things, I'm really glad we didn't leave on the 14th like we were supposed to....I don't think I would have been ready.

I'm going for my 8th trip to DisneyWorld in 40 days !
we're driving...24 hours.... (oh god) but were stopping overnight in a hotel on the way!

were staying at Carrabien Beach to chill for a couple days, then switching to POP and hitting the theme parks +blizzard beach !

Anyone who's been to blizzard beach, whats there for a thrill-seeking teen like myself? ive only been to Typhoon lagoon.

Anyone else going around august 24-september5th ?

Less than 24 hours we should be on the road for Disney!!! I did laundry and cleaned our condo yesterday (so the roommate doesn't have to worry about our stuff everywhere for 2 weeks). My fiance and I packed last night...well early morning after an unexpected motorcycle ride that lead to a late night snack at our local diner with friends. My fiance only has about 3 hours of work left today (yay half day). Then we are driving to my parents house in PA (5 hours from here). And hopefully my parents and sister are all packed. We might have to pick up a couple things from Target but if we forget anything we can always stop at Wal-Mart while there. Hopefully we will pick up our lunch from WaWa and be on our way to GA by 6 AM Saturday morning so we can stop and rest a little at the hotel. Then Sunday hopefully we will be on the road again by 8 AM for POP.
