I'm so excited to finally see my ticker say one month. I'm sitting here with a video playing of Wishes and Spectro (even though it's not there anymore) playing in the background. My family thinks I'm absolutely nuts, especially dd who doesn't know we're going

We took DH, my dad and my brother all out for brunch for Father's Day and we're going to my parents house later on for cake and coffee (except i don't drink coffee and I'm looking for a :blech: smiley but don't see one).

Anyway. I'm going to start packing soon. As soon as I can get DH to try on all his clothes and see what fits. He's lost a quite a bit of weight since last summer, so we have to see if I'm going to need to buy anything.

It's crazy but the Spectro part of this tape ended at 11:48 pm and the next part is the next moring at 8:58 and we're in Ohana having breakfast already. When did we sleep??? Crazy stuff here. Definitely not doing that this trip!

I got an intresting call from my baby sister today. She's working out at a BoyScout camp as a life guard. Her boyfriend also works out there with her as a Director (cant remember if it's activities or what) but anyway...long story short, they are getting married and she's pregnant We were planning on going to Disney next November with her mom and now her Mom is wondering if it's still on. I called my DSMom and told her that we could take the baby with us. We would just get a pack n play and make sure we had diapers and what not delivered to the resort before hand. Or the baby could stay with his/her daddy or grandpa while we were gone.

Woo! We finally have a place to stay The aunt gave in, realized she waited to too long to make reservations, and upped the budget. Now we have a house she's happy with (she was adamant about a hot tub...in July?! ) and a place for all of us to sleep!

I am not a teacher either! I am a chef. Took time off to help with my sisters family while my brother in law was sick, and once we get back from Disney I will be making plans to open my own place next year. In the meantime I will do some catering etc.

In order to start getting in the spirit for our trip (in 6 days!!!!), we watched something we DVR'd a couple of weeks ago on CNBC called "Walt: the Man Behind the Myth" on Thursday. It was so good and both DH and I ended up crying at the end when the talked about Walt dying. We now have to get through a DVD about the parks and then another about the rebirth of Disney with "The Little Mermaid". I think it's called "Waking Sleeping Beauty". Plus last weekend, we watched "Lilo and Stitch" for the first time. This week, I'll be watching a few others I haven't seen yet: "Mulan", "The Incredibles" and a few others.

We saw that too. It was very good. Have you gone to One Man's Dream at HS? That is very good too and I think some of the scenes from the TV show are in the one at HS.

Confession: I've never had a Dole Whip.

No, we didn't get to that last year but that's on our list for this year.

I don't know what a zebra dome is.

And, yes, that was me! We hadn't seen Peter Pan our whole week but we ran into him at Epcot?!?!?!?!?! Well, then of course, we ran into him at MK the next day--he and Wendy were our next to last characters that trip.

akhenaten - accidentally deleted the beginning of the post so can't quote, but your celebration is amazing, wonderful, and incredible. I am so glad you are all celebrating together. 1 year from tomorrow, I ran away from the world to the WORLD to take my mind off my first Father's Day without my Daddy. Tomorrow, I'm going to throw myself into my Master's work. He died of complications after having his only kidney removed due to cancer. CELEBRATE!!!!!!


Dental pain is the worst! I am putting off a visit until after our trip, hope I don't regret it! So glad you got your tix straightened out!

I also make copies of credit/debit cards, driver's licenses, and insurance cards. I lock them up in various places on our trip, just in case!


Poor brother! Hope it all works out. Glad I'm not the only one that's not fully engrossed in planning, I get on the boards and feel so far behind. Trying to juggle 3 grad classes, 2 kids, and planning this trip is about to be the death of me!

We're having a car crisis... We prefer to take SUV, more room to pack stuff, much more comfy. BUT, it's older, lots of miles, gas gauge is off, check engine light is on. No telling how much it would take to fix it! The other option is our VERY compact Kia Spectra, newer, great on gas, small on room.... We've done one trip in each and the SUV is much, much preferred for the 12 hour drive!


So, so, so sorry! Hope it works out Monday!

hey everyone! I read everyday, and decided today to just get over it and take the time to post. I'm having a real crisis of thought, I have soooo much to get finished for my Master's Classes before we leave, and I have done next to nothing for the trip. When I do sit down and try to plan, i feel guilty for not doing schoolwork. When I'm doing schoolwork, I catch my mind wondering to all I need to do for our trip.

As I mentioned above, tomorrow's about just surviving the trip. Monday is going to be trying to write 3 papers, 2 more Tuesday, and then spend Wed. and Thursday on the trip prep.

We're getting closer!

So I've been ripping apart one of DH's old uniforms to make something for the DISmeet on the 20th. I've been working for a while now and have only managed to fully take apart ONE pant leg! I have to go back and see who all is going for the meet so I can write the names down to get tapes made and count how many pins I need to buy. Watch, I will have the first part done before the end of the month, leaving me nothing to do but wait for the 1st to go get the tapes made lol

1. Mickey Mail came! YAY YAY YAY! Only thing about the Mickey Mail...the luggage tags that they sent this year look/feel cheaper than previous year's tags! BOO!

3. For all of my teacher friends looking for a job right now, I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND! I live in Florida, and right now things are BAD! I taught school for two years, and then was laid off due to budget cuts and lack of units available. Since May 2009(month I got laid off) I have applied for 80 teaching positions just in my county. I've applied for 55 in the neighboring county. 135 jobs applied for, and only 6 interviews!!! Interviewing has just started for this coming school year, so I'm hoping third times a charm!!! I know the Lord will provide for my husband and I. He is always on time. While I'm waiting though, I will enjoy all things Disney!

Have you called Disney to ask about this? I would think that they're going to have the better information on what you need to do and how they will handle it.
