Here I am. July 19 to 29 - AKL
I wear contacts in the parks with regular sunglasses (yes I often get them at the dollar stoe because I loose them so often lol). I also have transitions glasses. Not as strong as regular sunglasses, but they work in a pinch.![]()
Ahh.. just made my first (and only) ADR
7/17 Wishes Dessert Party
SOOOOO EXCITED!!!![]()
Just a reminder, if anyone wants to post their ADRs, I will add them to the list. The list can be found on page 1 or page 41.........I know that some people have previously posted them, and if you have - let me know and I can look for them so you do not have to recopy. I just do not want to post them on the list without your ok.
In the thread I read about Packing cubes, it seemed that people did use them in duffle bags. But again, I have never actually used them. I am buying them based off of advice from the DIS. I would suggest doing a search on the topic and see what info you can find on the boards.
Won't be getting Mickey Mail, well except for ME tags, because on May 2nd we bought into DVC and changed our trip to points instead of cash, so no package.
We will be in Disney July 13 thru July 20, staying at the AKL for the first time. We are celebrating my dd high school graduation and my dh bday.
I am so much work to do but I find myself on these boards every night!!!![]()

Had the ultrasound on my leg. I have TWO calf tears. The doctor told me "no sandals, very comfortable shoes, and lots of breaks" for Disney this summer (he's a fan, too!). On the fence about wheelchair rental, you know? He said this is going to take "months" to heal, and I assume he means from the ultrasound date forward. I'm thinking about shopping for sandals that are more active in style, compared to things like flipflops or dress sandals, for our trip
It'll make Disney in July more interesting!
I also finished my clothes shopping (for now). I have enough shorts and tank tops, at the moment.
We just need to buy more sunblock.
Ouch. Hoping for a speedy recovery!

Hi everyone!
Sorry I've not been posting much.. as most of my trip is in June, I felt a bit of a 'fraud' being on the July thread too!!
Not sure if I'd posted our July ADRs.. they are..
7/1 - 'Ohana - 6.30pm
7/2 - Le Cellier - 7pm
7/3 - Crystal Palace - 8.25am
I'm so incredibly excited for our honeymoon! everything is pretty much planned & booked - I've bought everything we need (new wardrobes for the newlyweds!), last few things to book with Disney are a private photopass portrait session & to add some champagne/strawberries to our Wishes Fireworks cruise
Btw about the sunglasses/contact lenses query... I wear contact lenses nearly every day - I make sure to bring plenty of spares to WDW.. I find the humidity/swimming/water rides can affect my eyes a lot!
Hope everyone is enjoying the planning

Hi everyone!! Getting close and I am getting WAY too excited!!! :-D The busy part of the school year is over for me and the next few weeks are study leave for the pupils who are sitting there exams so it's mainly prep time for the new timetable that will run for 3 weeks in June before the holidays. Then it's DISNEY!!!
Have my appointment made to get my minnie mouse manicure on the 8th July!! Airport hotel booked at this end!! I'm ready!!!! Not lost a pound though and not finding the motivation to stay away from the wine and snacks!! OOPS!!
Oh and totally agree about the friendliness in here. I got destroyed over on the family board the other week after posting an innocent comment. I'm not going to venture back!! EEK!!
Have a few ADRs confirmed. Just going to go with the flow with the others, we had the dining plan last year and found it quite restrictive having to plan everything round our meals. Anyway we have
7/11 8.10 Crystal Palace
7/12 12.50 Hollywood and Vine
7/16 Mickey's Backyard BBQ
7/17 3.50 Mama Melrose (Fantasmic Dinner Package)
Sooooooooooooo excited!!!
mo x
7/10 Ohana 6:15pm
7/11 Crystal Palace 8:05am
7/15 Wishes Dessert Party 9:00pm
I may try for a couple more ADRs but when it's really hot outside we don't eat a lot of big meals. Grazing and snacking at CS may suit us more. Of course, ADRs would get us out of the heat now and again.![]()
I posted mine earlier. Please let me know if you need me to repost them!
We ended up with packing folders from ebags. LOVEthem! My husband is a chronic over-packer and will take up an entire large suitcase for 3 days, given the chance. The folders just made him do SO much better a job of packing!
I'm less than 2 months out! Monday is the 8 week mark!!!
