July 2007 Rate/Code Watch

Just finish calling a total of six times and nothing :sad2: Was told every call that it is a random offer. I did have a CM that kept trying but nothing, she then put me on hold to speak with her manager and came back to say, it is a random offer :confused3 Wish it would have worked for me :sad1:

I called. The CM was nice enough. She said I could not use the code on an existing ressie. That it was a computer generated random code to upsell. It targeted people booking (or who usually booked) value resorts trying to get them to book moderate or deluxe. She also said it had to be a package with dining.

I don't know if that's true or not. I'm also sending the code to my AAA agent to have her compare it to the AAA rate (if it's available).

I'm still hoping for a really good AP.

Chris

Silly question - are you calling the WDW Travel 800 number or the package ressie number?

Well I decided to give it a try but no luck for me. She knew it was from the dis boards though!:lmao: Anyway I was told this is a code that is always good BUT only when it pops up on their screen. She can not type it in so it is like an upsell. I am happy with the Swan and so will most likely stay there. Thanks for posting though and good luck to others!

This is another warning not to discuss or post a code unless it is a Public one. Posts will be removed that discuss this.

This is NOT a public code as SafetyMom has indicated. Please stop posting or discussing it on these boards.

Thank you!

Knox

I was just wondering why we can't talk about the code. Was the 40% code a public code that some thought was unfair. I am just asking I don't know. I have seen where some non public codes you allow to be talked about but some no. If we don't spell the code out I think you should give a poor man a break. I read a post from a Mod that the DIS board will not control what Disney will do. I am not tring to start anything I just don't understand. :confused3

Hey Yo!

I think this is a great time for people to take a few minutes and read the posting guidelines that apply to everyone posting on these boards.

Please pay special attention to:

9. DISCOUNT CODES: As mentioned above, the DIS is all about planning a Disney vacation. On occasion, Disney does release discounts which usually can be obtained via a code. This information will be available in our Discounts section. However, Disney also sends mailings to specific individuals/target groups which contain a discount that can only be obtained with a PIN (personal identification number.) If you receive one of these offers, please do not share your PIN/Code on the DIS for others to use. We respect the fact that these offers are not for the general public and will remove any posts that include this information. Understand that this action is for your protection. For example, say you use Mrs. Smith's code. When you check in and are asked to produce proof that you are Mrs. Smith and cannot do so, you will be charged the full rate.

Let's just put it this way - if you cannot find the code in the discount section - do not post it on the boards.

if there continues to be posting of codes that are not public codes the Webmasters will again go to the "no codes posted" rules that used to be in place.

The webmasters have generously allowed for codes to be posted that are public codes (FL resident, AP, AAA, general public) let's not ruin that by continuing to post codes that are not intended for everyone to use.

If there is ANY INDICATION that a code is not a general public code PLEASE DO NOT CONTINUE TO TRY TO POST IT HERE.

If you have any questions about the board rules please feel free to contact any of the webmasters -

I just called for new AP rates and the CM didn't even take a second and was like "NO". Guess we have to wait another day.

Thanks for calling and checking up on the AP's! Appreciate it. :) Still think they very well could come seeing as it was another week before last year's limited AP discount was released. Might as well be optimistic right?! :)

I know we're not allowed to post a code. but are we allowed to say, I called and was able to get resort X for $125/night using the code that was floated around the other day?

I'm reading the mods responses, but I am assuming you are responding to posts that are now deleated, but what is left is actually OK

The basics of it is - do not post the code - do not post a link to a private site where you or someone has listed the code.

But things like "WOW - I just got an upsell from xyz resort to abc resort for only $12 a night - I'm so excited" are just fine -

Thanks for asking
