July 2007 Rate/Code Watch

Going July 6th - July 12th. Does anyone know if you get a room code can you have the dining plan as well.:confused3

Have you heard any rumors :hyper2: of room only codes?
I need to finish up my trip w/ dates June 3-8.....but I want room only.....

Looks like we will be changing our trip to July instead of June. So, come on July codes :cheer2:

I accidently merged the

July 2007 Rate/Code Watch thread

and the

June 2007 Rate/Code Watch thread

I'm working on getting this undone

Sorry!

I'm very very very sorry - this was a simple accidental click that caused these 2 threads to be merged.

I have checked with our tech folks and there i9s no way to "un" merge the threads.

What I will do is create a copy and name one for June and one for July - but they both will contain all of hte posts - Again I'm totally sorry that this happened.

It actually warms my heart to see that even tech-savvy people can make mistakes with the computer! I thought it was just me :)

Scary thing is that I've been so busy that I didn't even notice. :scared1: In any case, no harm, no foul... :)

Iam looking to go to WDW June 30-July 7, and have always got a deal, either annual pass code or an e-mail or postcard code.
I haven't been in over 2 years and last time I went it I stayed at the Wilderness lodge and actually booked 2 rooms with my annual pass and when I checked in both rooms were upgraded. Now it's 2007 no annual pass, no email code and we want to go. My wife and 2 kids 3,14. I check at this thread all the time but need advice on what to do. Should I just book anything and be thankful I am getting something that time of year because it's so busy or should I hold out and wait for a code.
Also is it worth it to buy 1 annual pass to offset the savings and book a passholder rate for these dates?
Your help would be much appreciated.
One last thing, how do you get a picture by your name, not the smileys but most people have a logo or picture to the left of the message where their name is. Just wondering.

I booked our trip. The CM told me that if a code comes out then they would apply and I would receive a credit :thumbsup2

I am not sure about the annual pass, as I have never purchased one. Maybe I can learn something here as well.

ILUVWDW - we always book our room at the resort that we want to stay in with a AAA discount (if available), then if there are better discounts down the road, we call and try to apply it. Others wait until the discount rates come out, then book whatever resort is available. It's all a matter of choice, really.

We go for more than 1 trip per year, so APs are worth it to us for park entry alone. If an AP resort discount comes out for our vacation, it's a bonus. If you are not going for more than one trip, you may want to wait until AP rates come out for your time frame, then purchase an AP.

The picture by the name is called an "avatar". If you go up to the top of the page, above the Swan/Dolphin ad, there is a peach colored banner. The first link is "user CP", click that. You will find a bar that says "control panel" and "settings and options" - under that, click on "edit avatar". There will be several pages of these pictures to choose from. Good luck!

fabfive - I hope the cm explained that you will have to call back if the discount rates become available. They will not simply apply it to your reservation automatically, you must call and request it. :wave2:

Yes, she did say I had to call back and check. Boy, wouldn't be nice to get a rebate of what I had paid. :cool1:

How much is an ap pass? Is it good for multiple parks in one day? Details please:confused:
