Do you think it's a good idea to request a specific bldg? I want to be close to the pools.

I really like Tokelau. It's close to the quiet pool and the TTC. It is a little bit of a walk to Captain Cook's, but it's a very pleasant stroll, especially if you're up really early before the masses. The resort is SO tranquil, I love to get up early and roam the grounds.

Samoa is another building that is close to both the Volcano pool and the quiet pool. The rooms in Tahiti are actually a little bigger than the other rooms (only by about 10-20 square feet I think). But what I like about Tahiti is that there are double sinks in those rooms. When we stayed in Tokelau, there was only one sink.

Booked YC GVC June 30 - July 8 with AAA today. Not thrilled about the price since last year it was so much less!!! I hope something great comes out for this time frame.

I figured I'd jump in here since this is where I heard about those awesome YC/BC rates for last July.

Hi, Traci! What are you doing here??? Are you going in July?? I booked the YC with a few days at the GF tacked on after. I am probably just going to stay at the YC, though, this time and try their concierge. Who knows....it's 6 months away.....I don't know where I'll wind up. I am also thinking Swan/Dolphin if great AP rates don't happen.

We are hoping for discount June 7-10 to extend our DVC stay at OKW, but nothing as of yet.

We've stayed at ASMusic & Movies both. The values are really a good ... well, value! You get the best of everything .... you're on Disney property, so you get all the benefits - without the hefty price tag!

Disney actually does a good job of providing something for all budget sizes.

Now let's hope they give us summer folks a break with some good codes!

We took advantage of the $189 AP rate at BWI last year for our last couple of nights. It was fantastic! You can't beat that rate for a deluxe either! The prices keep going up .... but we keep coming back!

I am hoping for something for July too but not holding my breath due to the history of it in the past. I did move our annual trip from June to July this year to take advantage of the July deluxe value season. I priced it and with our AAA discount the difference between a moderate in July and the WL is only 200 for our 8 nights, the value would save like 800 but for us that 800 is worth it to stay at the WL.

lol! even with a code and a discount for a regular $400 room.. we couldn't do it! lol I guarantee it! I'm excited to be going regardless! Hopefully one day we will be able to go and stay in one of the really nice hotels!

I'm sorry you can't use that one, but, keep the faith, Disney told me, as they did last year, may very well come out sometime around feb-mar-april-may with another one we both can use. Enjoy your trip!

There wasn't anything offered for June last year. It is a busy month so they don't have to give discounts.

The current AP offers through June 2nd are bookable up to February 18th.
So...it isn't too far fetched to keep this at the top of the boards for the next few weeks.

Yes, I acknowledge that AP rates were never released for this three week time period in June last year but it's okay for one to be hopeful. Last year during this time frame, there was a 120,000 person convention in town...in other words, there was no need to discount rooms because there was quite an overabundance of guests filling them at rack and convention rates. That convention is in another city this year.

Other than std/woods at the WL, savannah view at AKL, and std at POFQ, there is still a lot of AAA availability out there for this time frame so I am very optimistic about there being an AP offering after 2/18 for June 3rd and forward

Yes they did skip the first 3 weeks of June but offered the $189 at DVC & Epcot resorts so I'm hopefully optimistic.

I just cancelled my POR ressie. DH & I can not justify spending $350 per night (2 rooms) for double beds & no balcony.

Oh, we can only hope. I'd really like to stay at AKL, but that's not happening without a nice code. Since we would need a room for five, has anybody seen codes for the deluxe rooms at AKL? If not, the Beach Club would be a nice option to have.

No, it is not unreasonable to keep this thread alive. Just because there were no codes for the general public last year does not mean there won't be any this year. One can never been sure and we can always hope, hope, hope... and hope some more.
