July 2005 DVC-WDW Roll Call

Okay, I know I had planned on waiting until April 1 (Three months out) until starting this thread.....But if gopherit can start an Aug/Sep HHI rollcall, that’s good enough for me.

We’ll be at the BoardWalk Villas checking in Sun Jul 3 and checking out Fri July 8.
Our family of 4, and most likely my mom, will be staying in a std 2BR. We’ll be joined by my sister from Maryland, her husband, and my niece staying in a BWV std studio on me.

Planning on using Magical Express and hitting the parks 3 of the 4 full days we’ll have and would like to casually meet some fellow DIS’rs at some point during our visit. Well, I think that’s plenty to get this roll call rolling…..

We will be starting out at DVC Vero Beach July 2-9, then heading to Orlando and staying at Marriott Grande Vista (I ran out of points!) July 9-15 using trades thru Interval International with our Marriott Ocean Pointe studios. Group of 5 travelling - myself, husband, sister, brother-in-law and niece. Looking forward to it! (Although I just hate going to WDW and not being "on property"!)

We'll be at BCV from July 17-22nd. We have a 2BR so beside DH and me, joining us will be DD& DF(darling fiance) & DS & DG (darling girlfriend). The 2BR works out great as the girls can share the room, and one guy can have the pull out and the other the aero bed in the living room. (only last year we forgot the aerobed and DS had to sleep on an eggcrate mattress on the living room floor). It will be the last vacation for all of us before DD gets married. Happy and sad at the same time (but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't tag along too after they get married). We thought we'd have romantic vacations just DH and I after the kids grew up, now they just bring their significant others along!

DH and I are flying in on July 16th, we're staying one night at POR, then the next day checking into OKW (Grand Villa ) for 5 nights, then the family leaves and we go back to POR for 2 more nights.

Which leads me to this question, if anyone knows, is there an advantage if we go over to OKW early on the day of our check-in, and check in? Would we be likely to get into our room earlier???

Just wonderin, we'll probably try it either way.

Dh and I will be at OKW for our anniversary July 2-July 9. We're very excited about this trip. First time visiting in July since our wedding and honeymoon seven years ago

Looks like the Independence Day celebrators are far outnumbered by the Food and Wine enthusiasts! I'm sure the crowds and avg. heat/humidity has little to do with the difference in posts

Hi Everyone,

We (DH, DD & DN + me) are flying into Orlando on 6/29 staying at POR for 4 nights and then, moving over to OKW on 7/3-7/10 (this is where MIL & her DBF will meet us).

I'm excited as DN & DD are looking forward to this vacation. As it is MIL's DBF 1st time to Disney.

We are going to DQ, & Cirque... (1st time for all of us)

We also made PS's for Ohana, Sci-Fi & Prime Time,,,,,

Thinking of a few more but will wait to see what the July hours are.

well myself and DS#2 are flying in and arriving july3rd and staying at POP for one night. DW and DS#1 are arrrvinig by train and will meet us at SSR the 4th and then checking in to SSR for the next 9 days.

We'll be there July 21-29. Right now, we're booked for 3 nights at AKL Concierge and then 5 nights at OKW. I, um, haven't told DH about the three AKL nights yet. I could tell myself I'm surprising him with it, but really I'm worried he'll put the kibosh on it... They ain't cheap, you know.

Gopherit here -- and FWIW -- I didn't start it! It was Laurabearz, with her June/July HHI thread! I'm passin' the buck on this one (although I am guilty of stealing shamelessly off her idea , but I already confessed as much to her!)

We'll be at OKW for DH's 40th birthday 7/10 - 7/29.

Yep. We check into the BWV on July 3rd also, departing on July 9th. This follows a 4-night stay at SSR. Our best friends will be with us for the BWV portion while we will be at SSR with my brother and his family. Maybe we can meet up while we're there?

We arrive at our OKW grand villa on Saturday July 2 until the 10th. There will be 4 of us, myself, DH, two DD's and two of their friends. Had invited DS and her family, but they declined. After all, they were just there at Easter It's not her fault--I dropped her on her head as a baby

We arrive July 24th and depart July 29th. A short trip this year so we can bank our points for a big trip in 06!

DW's birthday is July 27th so I'm working on some plans for a celebration!
