Vickie, thanks again for doing all the name tags.
Jim, thanks for the list. I'm going to try to make a res at the same motel your family is in at the Buttonwillow exit--I'm a little bit nervous about the "see what's available at midnight" plan I was originally going with. I think we'll try to be at IHOP between 8:30-9:00 for breakfast. We have a dark green Sienna van with a "Kings" license plate frame (love those Kings!). I'll put my Sorcerer Mickey antenna ball on, too, but there's always a chance it will be stolen before then. There will be four of us--me, DH, DS, and Wendy's (vanvmom) DS, who will be riding with us to keep us all company. We should all be in green, so hopefully, if it works out, we'll run into each other. If not, see you on the Magic.
All of you, thanks for the great ideas and friendship that you've already extended.
It's kind of weird, reading the posts--almost sad, in a way, as we lose one person after another, but of course, happy because the day is finally (almost) here. It's like an end, but it's really the beginning. I'm so thankful for this board because it has been making the whole experience much more than just a cruise.
Here's the latest tally:
Packing done: 0
Piles made: too many to count
Errands to run: things keep cropping up
Lists made: I don't know--they're all over the place!
Days of work left: 1 1/2 (lesson plans made: 0, zip, nada)
Stress level: surprisingly calm. Things always seem to get done somehow.
We'll be leaving sometime Friday evening, so I'll do a last post just before we go. Azptcruiser wondered a few pages back, "who will be the last to post?" I was wondering the same thing. Try to post just before you leave, if you can, even if there won't be anyone left to read it.
