Anybody else get more documents? Ours didn't come yet...just wondering

We still don't have our documents and I know DCL has not mailed them out yet,they expect to mail them tomorrow. Our neighbors have also not received their docs yet,DCL mailed theirs to their travel agent on June 17 and then travel agent mails them on so they should arrive any day now for them,looks like I may be amongst the last to receive my docs but as long as I'm on that ship July 19 who cares

I did check the UPS site again and at least our documents are in Michigan today. Maybe they will be at our house tonight when I get home!

THEY'RE HERE THEY'RE HERE THEY'RE HERE - and I've already read almost all of them and I've only been home about 20 minutes!!!! The box was sitting on our porch and I almost didn't open it (it was addressed to dh) because it looked like a video - I was shocked!!!!!

So now I can OFFICIALLY say -

I ONLY HAVE 3 MORE WEEKS OF WORK LEFT!!!!!!!

Anyone else get theirs yet? I know we have a few that are still waiting.....

I officially have 11.5 days of work (well now that today is half shot I have 11 days!!!!!!) This is getting more and more exciting!!!!!

I have a question for all of you experienced cruisers out there. Last Christmas, I ordered personalized T-shirts from "The Disney Store" that have the Pooh gang on them and our name and Disney Cruise Date on them. Should we plan on wearing these the first day when we board? I know that they take some pictures when you board and I didn't know if we should try to be alittle more dressy or not. If not the first day, when would be a good time for us to wear them?

Still waiting for our documents. I going to call AAA tomorrow...

Well we did get our docs Although we are missing a necessary form in each one of our packets We can just pick it up at the port if need be

I want to start scouting the trip report board soon. I'd like to find someone who's written a really good report on the Western!!! Anyone found a thorough, helpful report they really like?

We're staying at a Courtyard in Orlando the night before. About the closest we could find in order to use our Marriott points!

Will everyone try to get to the port at 10:30 & then wait in line - or wait til later in order to just walk on????

Wow! The summer has flown by quickly! I can't believe that we will be leaving for FL in 2 weeks (from Wednesday)! We have had such a BUSY summer and I still have TONS to do before we leave!

We are still trying to figure out what we will be wearing (dd's want to take everything they own! ) DH is trying to limit the number/size of suitcases since we have to travel by car with them before we get to FL!

Has a definite 'meet' day/time been set for all of us? I guess the kids who are emailing one another will plan on meeting at Common Grounds or something...

Well, only 2 weekend long swim meets and 2 one night swim meets until we leave for the cruise (obviously our summer has been FULL of swim meets ).

You sound like me Bobbi - I'm now at a little over 9 work days left and we leave 2 weeks from Thursday!!!! The excitement hasn't "officially" started in our house but I'm sure it will next week when I start packing. I think with going away this weekend and having to pack for that is keeping my mind off of packing for the cruise cause some of the "casual" clothes I'm taking with me this week. Plus some of our other clothes aren't back from the hemmer yet so once I get those then it will be more exciting!!!!!

I too have a bit to do before we go - gotta go over that "tips" list that I made and purchase a few more things (like underwater cameras) and then we'll be set to pack!

Wow, all these posts are making me even more excited!!! If I am correct, only 456 hours until havin' fun in the sun!!!

beaniema323...about those personalized shirts. last summer, I went on a family reunion/ birthday cruise for my grandfather. it was his 70th b-day and we (23 of us) all had personalized shirts. the adults had different shirts, and then the little boys had different ones, and the little girls, and then the older guys and so on. anyway, we all wore them getting on the ship and then we wore them again for a group shot. I was a little nervous about wearing them because I thought they were cheesy, but they looked great in the picture. PM me if you want it, it looks fantastic. in fact, the pic is sitting on every member of our family's mantle. hope I helped

Yeah, I'm counting down my work days too. Now I only have 11 more before we leave! (Unfortunately it's my year to work on the 4th, so I have to work on Friday too!)

We still haven't gotten our documents. AAA said that since we are booked as a AAA group, all of the documents will go to the AAA in Richmond, and then will be sent to the individual AAA offices. If they haven't received them by tomorrow, they are supposed to start looking in to where they are.



We will be leaving 2 weeks from Wednesday also for the drive down. Ready to get packing too. I need those documents to see how many bags we can take.

I saw your question about Palos brunch...We would really like to try this too. We really want to try Palos, but would rather have dinners with the girls.

Anyone else gonna try for ressies for brunch?

We ate dinner and brunch at Palo's on our last cruise. We will definitely book the brunch again but probably not the dinner. Our dinner was just okay but the brunch was great...so much to choose that we didn't get to try everything the first time. Be sure to go there hungry for brunch....everything will look good to you!!

It did occur to me yesterday that we might indeed just book a brunch at Palos & not the dinner.......

Have y'all looked at all the sample menus on the 'net???
ALL look wonderful - we were trying to decide which Menu to "forego" in order to eat at Palos. Were thinking about missing the Mexicali.... menu.
A lot of the regular diningroom menus really seemed to appeal to me more than the Palos menu......but, then I've never eaten at Palos & don't know if it really is to die for>>>??
Captains Gala, Around the World, & Best of.... menus look lucious!!!!

We were thinking that if we happen to get a table for 4 - just our family - that maybe it wasn't necessary to book an adults only dinner ---- Our kids probably won't join us for EVERY dinner.....& then we'd have our "private time".....

BTW, I called Disney & requested we get a table with another family & kids ours' ages: 5 & 7...... Just thought it would help them to get to know some others better. No guarantees, tho. You just never know where they'll seat you!

I have looked at the menus and I may be eating alot of "room service" after dinner. I'm a very picky eater and I just hope I'm not disappointed. There are alot of things on there that I like but then they are with things I don't like - like some of the sauces and stuff. People have told me not to worry so we'll see.

I just realized I need to publicly say this to the parents of the kids that will be meeting my dd (and have been emailing her). DD is ADHD and while on her meds she is very calm and an awesome and fun kid. When her meds begin to wear off and it gets later in the evening she can get a bit rambuncious and loud because she gets excited about what is going on. Could you all do me a favor please? Please explain this to your dd's and ds's that might be in Common Grounds with her or on any of the activities. Tell them that I'm asking them to remind her to calm down if she gets too "wild". She's really a great kid and I would hate for her cruise to get ruined because the kids don't want to be around her when she gets this way. She doesn't see it happening and doesn't think it's a problem but it can be. She is just very energetic and wants to have fun with everyone but sometimes can't control how much fun she is really having (just getting loud and making sure people pay attention to her). I also will talk with her but sometimes it's her peers that help her to see how noisy she is getting and that it gets on their nerves.

So I'm asking you to please talk with your teen that will be on our cruise and tell them I'm giving them permission to be honest with her when she's getting loud. She will need it because I won't be there to tell her to pipe down a bit. Thanks!
