July 18 Tortola cruise part 3

OMG! I was just thinking that I hadn't logged on in a while. Yeah, like a month!! I can't believe it's been that long! However, I am glad to see it's still alive!

Congrats to those of you who have booked the Med and Alaska. I can't say that either of those really "rocked my world!" We will stick to WDW for summer 2010 and think about 2011 much later!

Mark and I made a trip to WDW last month. He was there a week with work and I jumped in for four nights. We stayed two nights at the Gaylord Palms. What an AMAZING place! Highly recommend it. We loved the Key West area. Brought back wonderful memories of our first trip on the Magic! The remaining two nights at BWV. My only complaint about the trip? Everytime I put my swimsuit on it started pouring down rain!I quit trying....

I did want to share with all of you some news.... Some of you might remember my mother in law who went with us on the cuise. She rode around on her little scooter?? Three weeks ago we received a call that she discovered her husband, Mark's father, had passed away in his sleep. TOTALLY unexpected! We still cannot believe it happened. Despite all the grief, she is doing amazingly well. But, with a loss comes a special gain, and Mark's sister delivered a healthy baby boy at 1:07 a.m. this morning. Miracles do happen............

School is going well, despite my having missed 20% of the days already!But , my families have been amazingly supportive which is a relief! My kids are neat too!

Sorry to hear about Mark's father. But nice there is a new baby in your family.

Also, two weeks ago we were in WDW for the Food and Wine Festival. We had such a good time. We went to Party of the Senses and had lunch with Paula and Jamie Deen. That was an experience. Fun memories were made.

Jenny, so sorry about Mark's dad. As hard as it was on the family, he is now at peace.

How wonderful about the new baby!!!!! We are eagerly awaiting our first grandchild next month. Can't wait! Our DD's baby shower was 2 weeks ago so now it's just a waiting game...........

JoAnn, Thanks for sharing the video of Uganda. They are adorable little critters. Are they used to people? How are Aaron and the girls? Did the girls make a good transition to school?

My condolences to your family -- I'm so very sorry. It is amazing, though, how a loss is so often followed by such a wonderful addition.

Final week of marching band season which caps off with a bus trip to Indianapolis!

Monica - good luck on your Indy trip....I wish I could come up! I am actually less than an hour south of Indy! Too many committments here unfortunately! I believe SOMEONE is booked on the July 19th Dream....I wish it was us, but I am still "dreaming"!

I did have a question.........who gave us the pens that had highlighters on the opposite ends during the FE??? I LOVE THEM! I have used them daily at work, in fact have already worn one out!!! So, if you would want to let me know or even PM me, I'd like to know where I can get more of them! THANKS!

I think there's several of us now on the July 19th. I have to look to see who, I can't remember off the top of my head. I never even saw those pens the minute we returned home, the kids swiped them

I was so surprised to see that the conversations were still going on about this cruise. I was on it, but didn't get a chance to really participate with the FE and the meets because we also were sailing with 2 other families that just didn't get that DISer thing I was into.

I, like MickeyMo, are booked for the July 19, 2011 5 nights to the Bahamas on the Dream. It sounds like maybe a few others from our Mutiny to Tortola might be Dreaming on the Dream?
