July 18 Tortola cruise part 3

We never made it to the dining room for breakfast - I kept trying to look for the Museli at topsiders, but only saw Cream of Wheat and Oatmeal. Couldn't bear to give up any precious room at Palo to try the Museli - besides, I have to save a new experience for our next cruise!

You know, it took me two cruises to find it, and only when Marcy finally pointed it out to me. It's on the omelet station, near the fruits on that small island around the corners of the two main sections... Right near the drinks. I think they have it there under the assumption that you're going to add fruit to it. I also found out that it's made with both honey and cream, which is why it tastes more like a dessert than a cereal, and isn't placed near its inferior counterparts. :)

Yes! That was us! You guys did a great job and your questions were harder than the first couple of people that played.

We had a great cruise and didn't want to leave. It was wonderful meeting so many of you and we enjoyed doing the FE too. Still have to unpack and really go through them again.

I am trying to get pics uploaded and will try to post some later.

Hope everyone had safe travels back home.

Ah hah! I felt so sorry for you guys. Your husband looked like he was about to go deaf from all the teenagers screaming in his ear... At least they were yelling correct answers for us. They were much meaner to the people who followed. :)

Looking forward to the pictures!

Quick photo I snapped with my phone while waiting in the airplane for passengers from a connecting flight to arrive. The kids fell asleep even before we pulled back from the gate. John will have to load the rest on the computer tomorrow.

That's awesome! Was that the most quiet they were for the whole trip? :)

I was glad when they left. I was afraid people were thinking they were our kids. :scared1:

We're back home too. :sad1: Spent the evening unpacking, washing clothes, and repacking DS who leaves for a week of camping in PA Sunday AM. He was so confused on what to pack.:dance3:

It was nice meeting as many of you as I did. Never enough time. :wave2::wave2:

Right now it is time to go to sleep. I caught a cold and I am wiped out.

Greg....love the pictures. Post more please.:yay:

And the picture of the children on the plane looked just like my kids. They missed take-off completely.

They were pretty quiet, electronics are a good thing :thumbsup2 They did continue the timeless tradition of bickering over the arm rest though. Oops, I'm in trouble, dd12, Maggie is embarrassed I posted it, she just looked over my shoulder "Seriously, Mom??!!!"

I spend a whole week getting excited over the characters, acting like a kid and that doesn't embarrass her, but a photo will? :lmao:

Finishing the rest of laundry -This afternoon, we're taking Maggie to Sea Camp at Texas A&M Galveston for a week. She's excited, she can put off mom's cooking for another week. :rotfl2:

Alright, a few more nostalgia pictures, just to make all of you sad...

If you're an early riser, you can sit on the ground in the atrium and shoot shots like this for nearly an hour with only the staff to mock you...

A little bit o' Cinderella...

And a little bit o' Belle...

Another shot of Brewer's Bay (for those cruisers who are GOING on a cruise to Tortola, this walls is where all the fish and coral live...)

And Trunk Bay, which had some great snorkeling (particularly before the excursions began to arrive...)

And finally, a random shot of my youngest at the Pirate Party, because no nostalgia from the cruise would be complete without a Pirate Party shot...

That should do it for, now. When everyone gets back, I'll make sure everyone's okay with me posting the personal ones and post more. :thumbsup2

Hi everyone!!! We are back too!! Got home last night around 9:30. Went to see Harry Potter at DTD yesterday and ate at Wolfgang. Continuing the movie week. We counted and figured out Pat saw 6 movies while we were gone. Too funny. Almost makes up for the $70 in arcade money he spent.

Pictures to follow. Have great day! Have to go pick up the pets.

I've been sitting here, watching the news, for the last 1-1/2 hours and NOONE has brought me coffee or made breakfast....I'm officially depressed!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I got my morning mocha delivered bedside. Yes, I'm spoiled  But, I'm going to go back to my room and the bed won't magically be made...:sad1:

Kids are going through withdrawal. They just finished watching Tarzan and are now watching the Disney Channel.

Speaking of Tarzan, why didn't Tarzan appear for photos? :thumbsup2 I would have even happily had a photo with Prince Charming, he was adorably cute!

Breakfast, I can't even think of eating yet...Off to find some elastic waistband shorts...

Probably because he was so gratuitously over-the-top that his appearance for pictures would've marked an awkward beginning of womanhood for a lot of young girls on the ship. :scared: :rotfl:

Still, my wife made me take a bunch of pictures of him, so enjoy...

we are back as well...drove the 15 hours straight through back to Memphis. We had a great time and was one of the best cruises we have ever been on!!! We loved meeting everyone!!! Nicholas did great the entire trip except for the rocking and rollling day, but just slept most of the day with me waking him up making sure he drank ehough and moved around a little...next day, he was fine. We all loved the FE gifts and took a picture of them the last night, and they covered the entire lower bunk and took up an entire rolling suitcase to take home!!!

UGH.... laundry all done and put away :laundy: No fun at all. Now to work on uploading pics and ordering prints. I can't believe the week went by so fast!

JoAnn...no worries! That was our favorite day of the cruise and we are so glad that we joined you! You guys are right down our alley :yay:

I'm considering getting caught up on work email but the thought scares me.

15 hours!??! Blurgh! That must've been tough. :)

Maybe Nicholas will dig this shot from the rocking and rolling day! :thumbsup2 He wasn't one of the pukers on the ship, was he? Because there was all sorts of fun, cleaning scents going on near the atrium that day...

What's really making me sad is that we're five posts from a pirate, and there's no reason to have a race, anymore. :(

Greg, I think the Lion King pic is from Disney Dreams, by the way.

To everyone on the board, THANK YOU for such a great cruise, a great pre-cruise board, the FE gifts, and for how much fun it was to run into everyone throughout the week. I can't imagine cruising with a better group of people! It was also the first cruise where our kids actually wanted to go to the clubs, thanks to Trinity and Claire and Alex and Caitlin. We have great pictures of the kids (other than my own), but won't post them unless we get the okay from others. We'll probably create a password protected photobucket account so that everyone can see protected kid pictures.

Michaele, we have some cute pictures of Cassidy and Trinity from the Friendship Rocks show that we'll send you.

Did anybody do the DOLPHIN excursion in Tortola?

Was the alge still a problem like it was in June? People were getting itching rashes from touching it and they couldn't stand back against the fence during the excursion.

Thanks!

Joann did it (she'll be on as 3princessmommy) and said nothing about algae, and given that we were on the beach with them the next day, I would have noticed if they were covered in sores. :)

The new experience for this cruise - I actually worked out (once) in the fitness center. It happened to be the day we were rocking and rolling - I didn't last long on the treadmill - that was a wild run!

Kids left their dinner dishes piled on the counter - I'm not Sergio. Take care of your own dishes! :lmao:

I think we had breakfast in the dining room almost every day. Which is fun with Abbie, since all 42 pounds of her eats three plates of breakfast food. The waiters kept pointing at her and wondering if we feed her the rest of the year. We have to explain that she really, really loves breakfast.

And yeah, my kids don't know what to do about food right now. They asked fro dessert after lunch, and didn't understand why I didn't have a trio of delights waiting for them. Um, yeah, here's your sugar free popsicle. Get used to it.

I've been sitting here, watching the news, for the last 1-1/2 hours and NOONE has brought me coffee or made breakfast....I'm officially depressed!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Lucy, after meeting you, I can't imagine you'd ever be depressed -- you have a very happy soul!

Speaking of Tarzan, why didn't Tarzan appear for photos? :thumbsup2 I would have even happily had a photo with Prince Charming, he was adorably cute!

Did you notice he was also the only semi-naked male performer in Disney Dreams (the Aladdin scene)? I wonder if DCL thinks the other guys aren't six-packy enough to be shirtless in the shows. I bet Lion King man was pretty six pack under his dashiki.

15 hours!??! Blurgh! That must've been tough. :)

It won't beat the person who threw up in their smoothie cup on the ferry from St. John. Now that was a sight!

Recipe for St. John's Vomit:

Fruit Cocktail
Milk
Pina Colada mix

Heat to 100 degrees for three hours, preferably utilizing the heat of the sun. Shake in a rolling, jostling motion for twenty minutes. Return to cup and/or floor. Serves one.

I'm sorry. Was that going to far?

And you're right... that picture was from Dreams. We were on the right for that one, and on the left for the others. This is why I can't write a trip review. I can't remember anything past the day it happened. Except for maybe the harem girls in Aladdin. I remember those pretty well. :rolleyes1

Hello all! We are safely home and doing absolutely nothing!!:lmao:Yesterday was a rough day. It was one of those days...............

Anyway we enjoyed meeting every single DISer! :cloud9: What a fine goup of people. I cannot say enough about the fun and sheer enjoyment of those around us last week. I cannot believe the cruise is over though! But, we have such great memories!:grouphug::grouphug:

And the FE gifts?? WOW!!! :dance3:You guys really went out of your way to make some really special memories! I have a WHOLE SUITCASE devoted to just the FE gifts!!!! I have not thoroughly gone through them all, but cannot wait to! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!:worship::worship::worship:

And to those of you who have your :laundy::laundy::laundy::laundy: already finished???? OMG people!! You are amazing!!!!:scared1:
