July 18 Tortola cruise part 3

darn accuweather predicting rain again, for the whole day! (not just
thunderstorms) - MAN, will I be disappointed - I've never missed a sailaway on deck.:sad1::sad1::sad1::sad1:

I agree with you. I'd miss the waving Mickey hands at the terminal as we sail away.

totally agree - when it comes to this day, I wait for NOONE!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

As long as I have my SIL with me, we're officially listed in a room to maximize the Castaway Club credits, the rest of my family is on their own when it comes to boarding...:lmao: Especially since she and I are listed in what is my parents' balcony cabin, I'm holding it hostage to get the rest of the family to the port in time... The other 3 cabins are interiors :thumbsup2

Not sure we'll make it to Parrot Cay - we will have to get room keys and accounts switched around if we can't do that prior to boarding. That's the official reason I've requested that everyone be present at port early to get on board first thing - it's going to take some time to switch things around.

I agree with you. I'd miss the waving Mickey hands at the terminal as we sail away.

Since we'll be at the Cape on Wednesday, I'm hoping to either get to Grills or out to jetty park to watch the Wonder sail away. I think the kids and my nephew would enjoy that.

Those of you with pets will appreciate this (maybe?)......as you know my guys are still hiking away in NM (counting down the days). My DS has 3 fish tanks that we are taking care of. Since my DS has had fish that like to hide I figured at least one was in this one tank. :confused3 It wasn't until my DD caught me with the food in my hand and asked me what I was doing? I said feeding the fish. She replied, "In that tank?" Of course. "All week?" Of course.
Yep you guessed it......that the one tank was empty. :lmao: I am so much better with children than fish.

You'll recognize us because we'll be one of the first people there. :) We always go early. The port is actually part of the fun... there's television with Disney movies, Mickey and Minnie come out, a model of the boat, and various other things to keep us busy until boarding time. It's basically making sure the first day is a FULL day. :)

BomaJack will be the one in line behind DarthVader.....:rotfl:

I just got back from getting my hair done... DD is babysitting but will go get hers done after she finishes babysitting...

Hey Starwood - this time next week, I'll be eating shrimp - and maybe :dance3: there MIGHT be some left for Buzz31.....

This time next week (2:00 Eastern ) We'll already be finished eating so, you may not get shrimp either. :thumbsup2 :rolleyes1

(Truthfully, we're close to the fishing docks here in Houston we can get them right as soon as the boats come in the afternoon. You might have to fight only with the northerners in our group )

So much fun to do....we did that one year, watched the Magic leave when we were getting on the Wonder (only way I can do this if I'm leaving the next day) - Grills is great fun.

I have been on a few cruises but im new to the FE exchange. My question is.. Do we put the items who's it from or not???

Yes, everyone, what is the 2nd plan of attack? I'm sure it will be totally crowded inside. What do they do? Never had that problem, thank goodness. Maybe we'll be lucky.......I just wanna hear that song, "Hey, baby," and that horn!:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Just to get us in the mood for sail away - like we need help!!!

my favorite - thanks! (that song is now sticking in my head--hey, baby, ooohhhh, aahhhhhh, I wanna know.........) :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

I really hope it doesn't rain for the sail away party. While this is our 3rd cruise it's only our 2nd leaving from PC our first was the med cruise. I loved standing o deck 10 waving goodbye to everybody it just added to the excitement. So now I'm going to be praying for two things that day no rain and an upgrade available at the port.

Bills paid, school work done time to start packing!!!!!!!!!

Just a picture to make you feel better about IF it rains on Saturday:

It might be hard to make out, but it's the swimming pool crashing over the sides due to the boat rocking during the massive storm on the New Years 07-08 cruise. We weren't supposed to be up there, but I'm stupid like that.

Another from the day following the storm, when it was still overcast and chilly. It's also one of my favorite pictures of my oldest, who went with me that day to get some coffee.

And another one from the brutally wet (and cold) day at Castaway Cay:

So, hopefully that will make you feel a little bit better about rain on the first day. :)

We had rain for pirate night on the west coast cruise. They had it inside the lobby. Definately not as much fun.

Ugh... That sounds like a bummer. That's the main night that I like to go outside on the decks. I'm not much of a pool bum, so I usually only go out for the girls to hit the slide, or to snag a panini, or maybe sit and watch the ocean in the mornings before it gets too crowded. But on pirate night I'm all about the party. :)

Just wanted to say, I like your new picture! Yummy, yummy.

First chance to get on since last night and I can't believe I missed a pirate race so early in the morning. Officially started packing, I can't believe what I'm bringing. I'll have to cut it by half. Went grocery shopping and signed up for another Cake decorating class.

Please don't let it rain. I sure hope it doesn't. We had a thunder lstorm roll thru this am and now it just hot and humid.

BomaJack- I'd love to hear your stories. I've had my troop for the past 3 years. some of the things that preteens say is wild.
