July 18 Tortola cruise part 3

Oh yea, one time I think I forgot all my socks. Well, I've learned to be resourceful........but buying bathing suits on vacay is the worst! Actually, I think I did that twice!:scared1:

John took me camping in MI shortly after we were married, never camped a day in my life; I wasn't in charge of packing. We had to stop for pillows and sleeping bags...

Oh. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Ok, fine, from now on, I'm playing........

That's better! If I can take losing time and time and time and time and time and time again, certainly you can be there to make sure I lose time and time and time and time again until I finally beat you to it. :)

I have a DD who plays college soccer in the intense heat starting in August, so I'm sharing all these tips with her! Thx!!:rolleyes1

Who does she play for? DD would like to play for college too. She's only 12 but she loves soccer! I hope she will continue.

Yea, well, IF you did win, that would be a sweet victory, wouldn't it........no more Mr. Nice Guy..........:rotfl2:

She plays for Drexel University, it's a school that's Division I but mostly known for it's engineering program. Getting an opportunity to play at college was quite an accomplishment for her, but I would compare it to being in the military due to the year round obligations, schedule and training regime. You would have to love it and want it more than anything. Fortunately, her academics are doing well and she's really liking her teammates. The running time pressure and training schedule has been grueling. Next year, she'll be in school year-round and that will continue for the next 4 years until she's done the program.........when she's done it will be worth it, but she's had to grow up very quickly.

I just got my AP class from last year scores on their exam...

I had 83% of my kids get either a 4 or a 5, and 88% get a 5,4, or a 3 (3 is the lowest passing grade)....

I am so excited for my kids!!!!!

My goal for next year is to get 90% of them passing!

Now I can go on vacation!!!!!!!!!

:thumbsup2

What are you thinking about changing? We have the sky ride in St. Thomas and was wondering about the fire???? Did it damage anything with that?

I still had the excursion for the Baths at Tortola. I just think doing it through DCL will be too rushed. Then I get a little nervous doing it on my own. I'm thinking there will be enough DCL folks around doing the own your own trips too. Off to canceling. Later.........

Good luck on your sky ride. If the fire was a problem, I would think it would be canceled. So no news is good news.

DS finally got up at 3 PM today! Now at 11:30 PM he is wide awake and full of stories to tell, but first he needs to tell me where my iTouch is. Hmmmmm........

We decided to do our own thing at St. Thomas........I think it should go okay, since we've been there before.

The alarm rang at 3:00am! Kids are full of energy; direct me to the nearest coffee shop! This airport doesn't have good coffee. Who ever thought a 6:00 am flight was a good idea?

You'll be glad you took that flight once you get here!

And if it makes you feel any better, OIA has a Starbucks! :)

Have a safe flight! See you real soon! :)
