Do you guys think airfare will come down before our cruise next summer? Geesh...the prices are astounding that I'm looking at right now. I have a free ticket on USAir w/ an additional $99 ticket, but after adding in all the fees, taxes, baggage charges, reservation fees, etc., I'm still looking at $800 for 3 people! And none are nonstop...horrible flights from Pittsburgh to MCO.

We found reasonable flights but can't leave MCO until something like 8 p.m. on Sat. night! There are too many of us to really "do anything". We are waiting on Southwest to open their window that includes our dates. Right now, Air Tran seems to have the best deals!

I haven't booked this yet.......I'm still not sure who's coming (Tray may not be able to b/c of school)...........so let me know what you hear from SW:goodvibes :worship: :thumbsup2

CAPTAIN BLONDIE princess: :cool2: :cheer2:

Congrats on the pirate: !

We booked on Delta. We were able to get $267 each round trip. Almost half of what we're paying to go down over Feb. break:scared: . We're staying at SSR on Thurs and Fri night so maybe some of us can get together for drinks on Fri night.

Wow, that sounds great!! I'm sure we'll be down early too.........still waiting for some family info first........:confused3

Happy Thanksgiving All!

John and Maggie were up and out early - John worked a 5k Turkey Trot - Maggie either grabbed his spare camera or ran the kids k, I'm not sure which she decided to do.

Mike and I are having a lazy morning - alternating between Houston's parade and the Macy's parade on TV - gotta love DVR!!!

We're heading to John's aunt and uncle's house this afternoon for dinner. It's an "orphan" holiday a mixture of relatives and friends. We're having our traditional "must have" foods - John's bringing my grandmother's rolls, my aunt's Captain Crunch candy and he's making green bean casserole. Add in all of the other "must have" foods from the rest of the family and friends - I doubt we'll starve.

I just talked to my mom - she's having 26!!! She has all our relatives and all of John's family! My brother also called last night - his sister-in-law and her family flew in from Guatamala - they were supposed to visit family in New York first but decided to come to Chicago at the last minute.

Well, we survived the holiday dinners..............now it's on to the Xmas holiday preparations......................:goodvibes

now that our busy time of the year is over (our high school musical)....
I'll be back for a LONG time. I'm not going to complain to you guys on how busy we were, how tired we were, how sick we were...I'll just tell you, the musical was a success thanks to the wonderful directing of my husband Bob.     Our kids did a GREAT job, we did the musical Crazy for You. To watch those kids dance (tap) who never had a dance lesson in their lives (including our son Tyler)....it was amazing. :cheer2:

Glad to hear everyone had a 'successful' Thanksgiving. :grouphug: We had a nice relaxing one with family. NOW, Bob had to be at work at 3 AM :scared1: (YES, I said 3 AM:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: ) this morning - retail, JC Penney - stores opened at 4 AM:scared1: ....crazy, crazy hours. Fortunately his day will be over at 12 noon already. I"m sure he will sleep all day long.
Bob does all the decorating in our house too:yay: , so I know he will begin tomorrow with the Christmas tree:love: . I will begin the Christmas cookie baking (my FAVORITE thing in the world!!:cool1: :cool1: ).

I KNOW next summer we will be down at Disney a week before the cruise::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo . We will probably be staying at the Boardwalk (can't book till 7 months before) or we will be staying at Saratoga (can book NOW). I am hoping to meet everyone who is at Disney the week before, I will be free anytime you are.:dance3: I am hoping to meet many of you before the cruise. Can you believe we can soon plan our meeting times on the ship......all we need to do is get through this cold, cold winter.

Well, it is 10 AM, i better get moving, before Bob gets home from work:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

WB LUCY!!!!!:yay: :yay: :yay:

We are at the hotel in Mark's hometown Kids are swimming with Mark and I am laying in bed enjoying Barry Manilow on the Today Show! This is the life!!!!:rolleyes1

Spent T-giving with the in laws. Always eventful. A day full of "don't tell so and so that I told you this because it's suppose to be a secret..." So everyone knows the secret but the one who wants it kept doesn't know everyone knows!!!!!:rolleyes1 Gotta love family................:lmao:

MIL is officially signing up for the cruise. She has her prosthesis and is walking again!:woohoo: She looks geat! She wants me to take her today to get a passport photo and fill out her passport application!

So, whoever is in charge of the "guest list" update us please....me - jfis1020 (45), DH Mark - Mr. Redlegs (43), DMIL Julie ( 60 something - I've lost track), DM Carolyn (67), DS John - fatphil (15 on Monday!:scared1: ), DS Marshall (12 in March) and DD Mallory (10 in May)

Happy Back Friday! Hope Bob survives Lucy!:headache:

WELCOME BACK LUCY!!!!

Glad the play went well. Your poor DH. JCPenney was nutty today. Every line had at least 50 people on it, and all with arms full of items.

Yes, tomorrow we start packing up FALL and putting up Christmas decor outside while the weather is still OK. If you wait too long, you run the risk of doing it in the snow! Yikes - I said the "S" word. Hope it wasn't too loud. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Well........we shopped today, I only lasted until 4pm.........sheesh......I must be getting old!:confused3

Yuck - I USED to love it, before I got too old......shopping on-line is looking better and better. When you live with someone for the last 24 yrs. who works in retail, kindof takes the excitement out of Christmas.
Last year, we spent Christmas in Disneyworld....NOW, that was exciting!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Bob did have the day off today - started decorating for the holidays. I am very, very spoiled. He does ALL the decorating. He doesn't get a whole weekend off until after the new year.:sad2:

Next Sunday we are going to NYC to see White Christmas on Broadway....that is exciting. :cool1: :cool1: It is a bus tour, we won't have alot of extra time in the City to see the decorations. My goal is to see the tree at Rockefeller Center..always loved that tree.:cheer2:

Anyone else do any shopping this weekend?:yay:

Yes! Me again.......I shopped again with the Rents.........:thumbsup2 down at the outlets in AC..........the lines were MUCH longer than at the mall ........yikes!!:scared1:  :goodvibes :santa: :cloud9:

I went through shopping withdrawal!!! I had to shop vicariously through my MIL!!! We skyped on Thanksgiving and she went through all the ads. I listed things that we'd like to have and then she braved the crowds. :worship: Granted, I had to limit myself to two stores - she wouldn't do more. :sad1: But I sort of got to experience Black Friday!!!! (I LOVE that shopping day!!!!) :cheer2: Shopping on line just isn't the same thing. :confused3

But we did manage to get the Christmas decorations out. The tree is up and decorated! Amazingly enough we haven't lost an ornament yet!!! :thumbsup2 I need to get started on Christmas baking though. And DD's b-day party is next Saturday and our Christmas blowout is the following week (after MIL arrives for the holidays...)

Remind me again that I LOVE this time of year.... PLEASE!!!!!!
