OH MY GOSH!!!!

It's 7:45pm on the night before the first day of school. We have backpacks ready, lunchboxes on the kitchen counter, 1st day of school clothes handing on the doorknob (along with shoes, socks, and yes, even undies, laid out). We even did a dry run on the hairdo!!!

AND!!!!!

All three darling DDs are IN BED AND ASLEEP!!!!!!!!!! :cool1:  :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

Take note though - this is the only night of the school year that will happen.... :rolleyes1

1st day of school here - my baby girl is in 6th grade - (ds - 8th grade) 2 kids, one school, one year - I like it!!!

At the beginning of August, Maggie announced she was updating her look for Jr. High from tom-boy to girly. She's had her outfit and hair planned for weeks. At the last moment, she came down in capris and running shoes this a.m. opting for comfort over style in the shoe department. That's my girl :thumbsup2 I guess she's easing her non-girly mom into this process in stages...

like this blondie (ME!) needs one more thing to be confused about:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Personally I think we should save '3PrincessMommy' thread and ask her how it is going in 3 months?!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
I'm not being sarcastic, please believe me, my 11th grader got up, no problem today, by tomorrow, the excitement of the first day of school will have already worn off!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Best wishes for everyone starting school tomorrow!:teacher: :teacher:

Sorry about all those returning to school, since ALMOST everyone on this board is a teacher:teacher: :teacher: :teacher: Who the HECK am I going to talk to you the rest of this year?:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

I am SO ENJOYING myself today, home alone...baking cookies, listening to Mamma Mia, not needing to make breakfast or lunch for someone....dinner, yes, that I don't mind:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

I'll be around... Finishing watching the olympics coverage - watching the men's marathon now... :cool1:

Hehe...sorry about that! :lmao:

DDs are not morning people though - so I'll let you know how the morning actually goes tomorrow...:goodvibes

Is anyone else trying to watch the Magic go through the Canal? I'm bummed because it's taking forever and I just want to go to sleep!!!!!

Nope you're not going blonde - DVR is a wonderful thing! I'm such an olympics junkie - and this is the first olympics we haven't been limited to NBC network. I'm behind - although, I do hear the news reports, so it's not a surprise. I'm watching just about everything on MSNBC, CNBC, USA and NBC - skip wrestling and boxing, but for the most part, I've watched or skimmed almost everything... I figure, it will make the time go faster until the winter olympics...:lmao:

Great finish in Men's Diving! :thumbsup2

Well, I miss the Olympics, I didn't tape anything and it was fun while it lasted!:worship:

First day of school a success!!!

DDs managed to get up, dressed, and down to a pancake breakfast on time. (I didn't leave enough of a buffer to do hair though, so started freaking that they would be late for school.:scared1: )

But we got them out the door - posed for pictures:

Then off to school. No traffic, so made it in 5 minutes and had plenty of time to get to the basketball court area for the assembly.

We have a new Principal this year, so the assembly was VERY short - last year it lasted 30 minutes. This year, just five. Parents wandered in at 7:30 and didn't know where everyone was!!!! :lmao: The classes filed off to their rooms and I had some extra time to spend in DDs classes. (Since I work full-time I don't get to do that very often. I enjoyed it. I hope I didn't make their teachers uncomfortable though... :confused3 )

Then tonight DDs got to choose dinner. Drumroll please...........Kraft Macaroni & Cheese!!!!!!! :lmao: :rotfl:  (Mom added the side of green beans! :wizard: )

And amazingly enough, they were in bed and asleep at 7:55pm! :woohoo:

One day down :laundy: , 179 to go :rolleyes1

Those little girls of yours are ADORABLE!!! How cool to see where they go to school and all! Thanks for sharing!:thumbsup2

are so adorable!  :grouphug: I love the fact that you shared their classroom with us.....AND, I must tell you, when my kids were that age, Kraft macaroni and cheese was ALL THEY ATE! My babysitter remembers us telling her that we knew every place at WDW that served macaroni & cheese.....
seriously! Now when we go to Disney, they order steak:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Enjoy them while you can....
