I sure can... To be honest though, that was just a quick thing I threw together in Word to see if people like the general idea of it. I can remake it in photoshop if that what we are sticking with, or I'm open to suggestions if theres anything people want to change about it. Just let me know and I'll get to work.

I like the date idea too. I wish I could "throw together" something like that! Wow! I think it looks awesome! Thanks for doing this!


Parent night is over for me! Mark had to go for Mallory since she is in the 4th grade like me. Tomorrow night is HS and I still have Middle School next week!

It was a year ago this past Thursday that my dad passed away. I wiil always remeber the beautiful flower arrangement you sent to us. My family has come a long way since then. Time does heal and I am so looking forward to the cruise next year.

8th grade schedule and book pick-up begins at 8:00am this morning. Mike isn't too happy I'm getting him moving - my chances of getting in and out of the school unscathed and quickly will be much better at 8:00 than if I wait until later in the afternoon...

6th grade parent orientation and schedule pick-up for Maggie is tomorrow night.

2 kids - one school - one year - I'll take it while I have it....

School started today for us-- DD14 is on her way to the first day of High School! Now things can get back to a little more normal.

I guess I should do a few of the 10 things --

1- married to scduckman since 1992- if we make it until this Friday it will be 16 years!

2- This will be our 4 Disney cruise and 6th cruise total since 2002. We had fellow Disers as our tablemates the first cruise and we still keep in touch with them.

3- My favorite things to do on a cruise is to sit on deck or the beach reading.

4- I turn the big 4-0 this year so we'll see how depressing that becomes but I guess its better than the alternative!

5- We have 3 trips planned before this cruise so it will help the time go by a little faster. We are going to Hilton Head in Oct, Mexico for Christmas, and Vero Beach for Spring Break.

I need to get to work so I'll try to post more later.

Matt has band camp starting next week 8-5 every day and 7-9 Tuesday and Thursday nights. Then priority practice on 9/2 and back to school 9/3 with band practice that day 3-6. At least it will get him out of his computer chair and marching.

Starwood for the update - my info is correct

Tyler starts school on Monday, thank goodness - he needs to get out of the house - his whining has gotten on all our nerves!
He picked up his computer from school yesterday...he is ready.
Then the evenings he will start musical practice (our musical is the end of Nov.)...plus going to football games, show choir rehearsals, etc. etc.....


My schedule for Monday? do nothing! I've worked at the university for 34-1/2 years, and since I've retired (at a very young age I'll have you know ) I really enjoy being home the first day of school...then on Tuesday I'm subbing at the high school already (I now pick up office jobs, aide jobs, anything they need me for whenever I can), but the first day of school - NOT!

we are debating between Port Canaveral and the Hyatt at the airport....
the Hyatt is winning....we will be in Disney, on points, from Sunday thru Thursday, but then going somewhere else for Friday night. This planning is SO MUCH FUN

My tip: start a box that accumulates all the little things (like battery operated fans, waterproof pouches, water shoes,etc) that you might have used on vacation this year and will definately misplace by vacation next year. This way, you will be pleasantly surprised that you were wise (and organized) enough to think ahead. Also, keep a list of things you need to buy in the box and cross them off as you buy them (you know, those little things that pop into your head while you are dreaming of palm trees and trade winds... ah)

To add to this tip...........I also think we should add our old pirate stuff to the "box." I have jewelry, scarves, etc. from previous cruises.

1. I am almost finished a 2 year portfolio advertising program through Miami Ad School. I am a copywriter which means I write the words that go on ads and come up with the ideas.

2. In the past 2 years I have lived in Philadelphia, Miami, Hamburg, London, and NYC through my school. What I learned? Never live in Germany.

3. I am allergic to everything, dogs, cats, hay, gray, dust, little children...

4. I went to University of Maryland for 2 years and finished at Temple in 2006. I have a B.A. in Advertising.

5. Oldest of 3 girls. Total oldest child complex (Independent, Type A, Leader, "My way or the highway" kinda thing). Couple of my friends call me Mom because of this.

6. Dating a guy named Jeremy, for 2 and a half years. Well, we date Feb through the end of August. During Fantasy Football Season I date the back of his head.

7. My dirty little secret: I hate Football. I will be in 3 Fantasy Football leagues this season. To survive. What we do for love?

8. Despite being commonly accused as being a feminist (I am an equalist), I love love love domestic arts. Cooking, Interior Decorating, flower arranging, table setting, I love it. Bring it on Martha and Rachael Ray!

9. I have started riding my bike from Queens to Lower Manhattan (8 miles each way) and I think this makes me really cool. What I have learned? Never live in Queens, ugh.

10. I live for reading, watching Project Runway and The Office, and wine.
