Thanks for the warm welcome. I saw the teen thread for this cruise. I'll get my daughter (13) on that one as soon as I get her a log on for this board. We're all excited, especially me. I was more excited about booking the cruise than going on a 5 day trip to Maui the next day after I booked. I took my DCL Passporter book with me just to remember all the good things there is to do.

The one thing that I definetely do differently is to pack less - though this time I'm going with people I know - so I'm not sure about wearing the same fancy dress for formal and semi-formal night ??? Even with the hurricane like weather - it was still warm so I'll I wore during the day was shorts and t-shirts. I did laundry once and it wasn't that bad to do.

Thanks again - I'll try to check in often - I've tried to read thru a lot of the postings but over 777 is a lot to catch up on and we still have a year and 2 weeks or so before we meet!

but I'm sure someone would put that into minutes weeks weekends and it would be time to board then. I hope I'll be done with my illness by then AND REALLY have A GREAT TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I see you live near San Francisco - LOVE that City!....I've been a couple of times, my husband has been only one time and also fell in love with the City!My cousin lives in Oakland, and is a nurse in Berkleigh....we've had great memories out there. My husband and I spent a week with her (a VERY long time ago), then took a 7-day cruise out of San Francisco, THEN the children came along

We have added 2 more cruisers to our group- my mother-in-law and her husband. They booked about a month ago. THey have never cruised before and are very excited. We are now up to 16 family members.

I did just see the state list. My mother-in-law amd my ssiter-in-law are from Massachusettes, my sister and her family are from Virginia. We"re from NY and my son who lives in Texas is coming.

Garry can always bring Da Yoopers - Ya, hey der... DH John graduated from Michigan Tech in Houghton in the Upper Peninsula. The only mall I know that has a sheep shearing demonstration - I'm sure that'll get him out of his lurking status to post - John not Garry

Or, Michigan....Detroit...Autos... Garry will bring new cars for everyone!!!

I haven't posted (been reading) for a long time either...focusing on our 2 week trip to Disney coming up later this month!

BUT...add 2 more to our group too!!! My MIL (who will be 81 at time of sailing, but is more like a 60 year-old) and my BIL. This will be their FIRST cruise and I am so excited for them!!! We are all from West Virginia.

Welcome to EVERYONE

kanga1: we will also be in Disney in two weeks, July 20-Aug. 1st.
First staying 3 nights at the Royal Pacific, then 4 nights at the Animal Kingdom Villas, then 5 nights at the Boardwalk Villas.
I know jlawall will be there also, but ONLY in Universal and then on the Disney Wonder (lucky girl)....we have several reservations over at the Poly, breakfast at KONA (wonderful food) and on our last night, July 31st, at Ohana - our family hasn't been at this restaurant in years.
