your child marching down Main Street USA
Both our sons were NOT in the band, but the band director allowed them to be in the honor guard to walk down Main Street....each of our kids has been to WDW twice a year since they were born and you can just imagine how we felt seeing them on Main Street. They both performed with the show choir in Disney but it was SO special to see them on Main Street....something "we" Disney fanatics will never forget.
We have two boys, one turning 22 in July and one turning SIXTEEN next week
He had his usual 'sleepover' with 4 other guys Saturday night (he didn't want a big party like we had for his brother) and he wants another sleepover this coming weekend with, thank goodness, only 3 other guys. My DH and I don't LOVE these sleepovers

but we couldn't say no, it is his birthday. He hasn't yet asked to go for his permit, like I told my husband, only reason I think he hasn't asked is because he'd need to study for a test

(studying for Tyler is right up there with his favorite things, like cleaning his bedroom

)
Maryann: how is your mom?
Mickeymo: oh those regionals and sight readings. Since my kids never played instruments they never did well on the sight reading part of the counties and districts (for chorus). Fortunately they made counties but never districts.
Our high school show choir is going to Ohio over Memorial Day for a competition at Cedar Point Amusement park. My hubby and I are going along, maybe (our son isn't thrilled that mom and dad are helping to chaperone - in Disneyworld he KNEW he didn't have a choice, we were GOING, but now he'd rather we stay home)
All for now, Lucy
