:laundy: What's everyone else doing?:surfweb: So happy to be home!!!Now it's time to prepare for Easter!

We lost power for about 1-1/2 hours today.....do you know how crazy a 15 yr. old can go without any electricity! NO TV, no video games, not opening the refrigerator....my DH and I had to laugh (well, we DID laugh until it started getting very cold in the house).....we are now back to normal, oh, yea, gotta re-set every single clock, answering machine, etc. in the house - whatta pain.:furious: :furious: :furious:

We also need to start getting ready for Easter....must only make 2 baskets for our boys.....no big deal. Going to relatives for Easter lunch, I only need to do desserts, my favorite thing.:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

We bought Enchanted on DVD yesterday - will watch this weekend - saw it in movie theater (anything with Dr. McDreamy is good enough for me!):rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :cheer2: :cheer2:

It's been a whirlwind week. I was in Dallas for a training Thurs-Sunday. Drove home from Dallas, emptied out a suitcase just to fill it with clothes for our very early flight to Arizona on Monday.

We spent an overnight in Sedona with family friends from Houston. Beautiful scenery and the kids were even able to see a few snow flurries. Tuesday, we drove back down to the Phoenix area to spend the rest of the week visiting with DIS friends we met on our 2006 cruise. The highlight of dd10 and my visit - 2 Chicago Cubs Spring Training games...:woohoo:

Another very early flight and now I'm home wading through piles of laundry, mail and stuff that's accumulated over the past week.

If I can, I'll post a few pictures when they are downloaded. DH brought his high speed digital and captured great action shots of the games.

I BELIEVE everyone should be home now!:yay: :yay: :yay: :yay: :yay:

I'm starting to feel better:dance3:

Thanks for the report mickeymo....pictures, PLEASE:worship: :worship:

I finally saw Enchanted on the plane......TrayTray loved that movie.....I thought it was cute.....I also saw Juno and for some reason I watched High Society as well. We flew Emirates and it was quite a flight, lots of cool gadgets..........it's apparently the top airline in the world right now! Who knew?

Welcome Home to All and Happy Easter!

My oldest is flying home right now......can't wait to see her at home!!:goodvibes

Where did everyone go? :confused3 Off to Dallas tomorrow for weekend #2 of training. The best part is my girlfriend who will be joining us on the cruise is flying down to spend the weekend with me in Dallas. Hopefully, the weather is nice, she's planning on lounging by the pool with a good book.

that is ALL it took.....begging:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Didn't want to overwhelm my new DISer friends with ME!:rotfl2:
(JoAnn knows what that is like!:rotfl: )

Believe it or not, this retired person has been WORKING! :scared1: :scared1:
Got called to work in the high school office for three days - HAD SO MUCH FUN.....my son didn't.....doesn't like when MOM is at school:confused3
Did have a scare though, had to work the cafeteria lunches (monitor) one day, all three lunches...I made myself SICK thinking about it, but, I LIVED.:yay: :yay: :yay: In fact, I kindof had fun....I spotted the bad kids right away, so I just hang around them and joked with them, no problems (except it was pretzel nugget and peas day and you know what happens with high schoolers on those days) - i did catch a pretzel nugget mid-air - I DID make an impression on the kid!:woohoo: :woohoo: The other two days of the week I babysat.

Today my husband and I are going to take my mom out of the nursing home for an hour or two and get her haircut by her old hairdresser (an Easter present) and then take her for a quick lunch at one of our ice cream drive-ins (when the drive=in opens, summer is on its way:cheer2: ), then race back and take our son to high school for a function, then do MAJOR grocery shopping tonight (maybe get a dinner out at Applebee's or wherever, as long as it is OUT of the house! ) Tomorrow I have a pampered chef demo to go to (my favorite, since cooking is tops with me).

One day I'm going to schedule some boring, retired time:cool1:

Oh, you'll laugh at this one - I volunteered (paid job) to work three Saturdays at a local grocery store to be a demonstrator of a product (I think I'm doing Sara Lee Bread)....won't I just do ANYTHING for vacation money!:jumping1: ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo pluto: :mickeybar :mickeybar

Are you sorry you asked?:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Whew! I'm working up a sweat just reading about how busy you were this week. Weren't you just saying how BORED you were? Hee hee. Isn't cafeteria duty fun:rolleyes1 . Actually, I don't mind it. I have it for the first time this year and I actually look forward to chatting with the kids (shhhh don't let that get out- most people hate it).

Anyway, glad all is well.

Baseball season opened today...one day closer to summer:yay:

Back from my training in Dallas, it was a good weekend and lots of hard work. I am thrilled baseball started today, we finally joined the modern age and have cable. :woohoo: I watched my beloved Cubs rally to tie and then lose to the Brewers... Why aren't the early April games played in domed stadiums??? :confused3
