Hello to everyone. I haven't even looked at the board in months and I know you all haven't heard from me in about a year. I admit I have been ill and barely got done what i needed to do. Actually am at the mayo clinic in MN right now and had some free time before my next appointment....but hmm don't know if I have time to go back and read 400 pages of posts! You all have been very busy!! But I did see that I missed the sign up for the FE
Bummer. Well, i guess i could start on the last 20 pages of posts, but not thinking I have a hope for a second pirate
But the Mayo is making me beter and I will be ready for the cruise...bring on the bahama mama!

So glad to hear that you will be joining us and we will have a drink to your health....take care....only a few weeks and your troubles will be gone.

Said goodbye to my kids today. After everything that has gone on in that class it was hard to leave them but I am excited about starting my new job tomorrow. I'm also a little nervous about that the current lead teacher will be there until the 1st. I can not do anything but get to know the kids so should be an easy few days.
I'm planning on taking an off clip on with me. I attract mosquitoes like honey I'm hoping the thing will work.

Nope - nothing - a little darkening of some clouds though...

and channel 11 just said Tstorm warnings for Galveston Area have been issued... We have some land in Dickinson - maybe it might get some rain????g

I don't know what the heck I was thinking! Spend 1 week in DC in training before vacation with three kids in a hotel room??? Definitely not a sane decision. Particularly since they want us to do homework!

Well - I have to do a one-on-one taped broadcast interview tomorrow for my final project, but instead of reviewing talking points, I will be packing!!!!

Got out of Burkina with only 9 suitcases, but I need to get on the plane Saturday morning with only 3. Everything else has to be organized because it has to stay at my in-laws house until we get back from the cruise and I can't take up their entire living room!

Definitely need this vacation....

21 days!!! Eeek!!! So much to do and so little time!!!

Really what am I stressing about - I just need to pack swimsuits, right?

Ordered new dress pants for ds14, noticed at the end of year band concert, his dress pants were getting short. Just ordered 32x36! 3rd set for the year. I just realized, I didn't check his dress shirts...yikes! I need to put that on the list. Thankfully, dress shoes he can borrow from his father. I'm not even going to bother with getting his suit altered; I'm sure there's not enough material to let out. We bought it when he was 5'8" -18 months and 9" ago...

Need to check all the snorkel gear too - I know we need to replace ds' fins.

FE done, grandma and Maggie put it together over Christmas - just need to put designs on it. Door signs, if they get done - great - if not, oh well. Debating on pillow cases, again not a must.

I hope everyone has a great day! Today is the last day of band camp. Ensemble concerts are this afternoon and then the band concerts tonight. Busy day. Trying to talk myself into a spin class this morning. I used to teach classes but, it's been over 5 years since I've been on a bike...

Dejavu (OMG - that spelling is a joke, isn't it)...watching a performance of Hair on Good Morning america, and Michael Jackson, gone. I was NOT a big fan of Michael Jackson, until I started watching all these tributes, and never realized how many songs I DID love...old songs, Thriller, Ben, and that song where he gathered all those stars and sang a tribute to the children of the world.....I LOVED that number. Am I showing my age again????? AND, to add to this, I LOVED Charlie's Angels....weird week, wasn't it?

We leave in 2 weeks - 14 days where did the time go?

The FE is done, gifts and holder. I packed some into box last night to ship, I'll take that to the post office tomorrow. I'm a little concerned about shipping....

I order Noah new pants (size 16?!) but I need to take him to look for a dress shirt or 2. No suit for him, he'd never wear it again. I ordered plastic waterproof holders for key to the world cards, they have been shipped (this is for our WDW part of the trip when we to to Typhoon Lagoon).

Foster son is moving back to his mother on the 3rd, so I can start packing on the 4th (although I'm working that day). Once I can lay out the suitcases I'll have a better handle on what I still need to get. I think I need to get another suitcase.

My sister is staying at our house so I need to really clean it .

Is anyone ordering baskets from Shirley? I need to do that soon too.

Enjoyed MJ's music mostly Thriller and especially The Jacksons/Jackson 5. Regardless of his actions, the man had a huge influence on music. His Thriller videos just exploded the (then) new music video industry. Although, Weird Al Yanovich's parodies of his music and videos are still by far my favorite!


I'm going to have to put Charlie's Angels in my netflix queue. I always wanted to be Kelly - but, I always got stuck being Sabrina... Too much of a tom boy, I guess.... (Now that is showing age....)

Maggie started watching the Jonas brothers' sitcom - after a few episodes, I decided I couldn't stand it and got the Monkees from netflix. She agreed, The Monkees are/where much better.... Score one more mom! (Now that is really showing age.... - clarification - I watched them in syndicated reruns.... )

Same here. On the way to work 5:00 AM this morning the radio station I listen to was doing a tribute and I was singing and having a great time (by myself) remembering all the songs that were part of my life especially the tribute to the children of the world.
