You all are so lucky! My children get out next week but I still have 9 more days to go (who's counting?). This is the problem when you only teach 4 days a week.

I'll just be glad when the finals are over for my children, I feel like I have hardly seen them. And you're right about the summer reading starting next. This summer the notes will be a lot shorter. Last sumemr one of the books my son did ended up with 44 pages of notes! Too much for a summer book. I have issue with the way our summer program is run here.


DCL......I'll take that upgrade offer now...... I doubt it will happen since we booked under a group rate. But I did get my first pin number this year for this fall.

dd16 has her last final tomorrow... She got an 97 on her AP Computer Science Final.... and a 100 on her Band final (really? They had a final in Band????).... waiting for the other grades to still be posted....

Me? 2 more days of school, I week off and then summer school - then cruise.... then WDW... then 2 weeks off and it starts all over again....

Tonight was the visitation for our 4 yr old neighbor. It was the most heart breaking thing I've ever seen. OMG that tiny little casket was more than I could bear. There were tons of pictures - I looked that them instead. It's all so terribly sad. Noah wanted to go but I said no, Bill took him and our foster son swimming instead. The neighbor that lives between us had their 7 yr old there, I then wished I had brought Noah for his sake. He made Jack a little lego boat to take to heaven, they put it in the casket. OMG

When I got home I found a message on our answering machine. It was DCL calling to offer an upgrade from Cat 9 to Cat 6 for $300.
Of course I did it! I'm not going to tell Bill, although I'm sure he'll ask what I spent $300 on with Disney. I think he'll be pleased - I hope he will.

Congrats on the upgrade.

You and Jack's family are in our prayers. I can't imagine what everyone is going through.

In the matter of an hour I had one kid throwing up, one having a seizure, one with an asthma attack, and one having an allergic reaction to a bee sting. All 4 ended up at the hospital which means a ton of paper work to be done tomorrow. To end the day we had a kid pull the fire alarm so we could not go in until we were cleared by the fire department. I need a weekend.

I just had to laugh about everything when I went to sign out and leave. It was just one of those days where I had to do a lot more physical care and a lot less teaching.

I was able to save about $1500 on Kristin and Nick's room using the just released Military rates. Since they work for NASA they're included! More money for shopping is what my wife says....

My guess is because they would need to go through the Disney group then to AAA. From what I understand, when AAA sets up a group trip they buy the cabins from Disney. I don't know what happens to the cabins they don't sell. I was under the impression the extra cabins were AAA's problem. Yet I have been told some incorrect things before from this agent. Anyway, I think it would be easier to move a cabin that is not part of a group deal. My only though for us would be if they had a Cat. 7 open and needed a quad, then we might get moved. We're okay where we are anyway. But I wish everyone else pixie dust.

That's what I have on my schedule. Anyone of you past cruisers doing the Castaway Clubhouse Meet? It looks like that should be on Monday at 11.

I guess if they have started offering upgrades, they are having trouble filling the ship. The chances of our family being upgraded is just about zero, because we requested the connecting rooms. There are so few connecting rooms available that they fill up easily.

I have still not heard back from Dorothy. We are still on for 10 am sunday in studio sea. Hopefully, everyone has posted their stateroom numbers so that if their are any changes Saturday night, I'll send a message out to all staterooms posted.
