Yes were all in the same stateroom. I wish it could be separate but saving for 2010 cruise. Between the cruise and WDW we are looking at 14 days of family togetherness. Heaven help me it's going to require a lot of drinks to get through without wanting to strangle somebody.

Hey Lissa,
We've got a 22 yr. old son going along and feeling the SAME way!!!!!:scared1:
At least we have 2 cabins!!!!!!:woohoo:
Maybe we can 'make a deal' if people get on our nerves!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Lucy,

Did anyone get back to you on what days do we distribute our FE gifts. Do we get a day or do we just do it when we feel like it. My poor homemade FE can't hold that much stuff at once. :sad2:

:woohoo:Tonight was the visitation for our 4 yr old neighbor. It was the most heart breaking thing I've ever seen. OMG that tiny little casket was more than I could bear. There were tons of pictures - I looked that them instead. It's all so terribly sad. Noah wanted to go but I said no, Bill took him and our foster son swimming instead. The neighbor that lives between us had their 7 yr old there, I then wished I had brought Noah for his sake. He made Jack a little lego boat to take to heaven, they put it in the casket. OMG

When I got home I found a message on our answering machine. It was DCL calling to offer an upgrade from Cat 9 to Cat 6 for $300.:cool1::yay:
Of course I did it! I'm not going to tell Bill, although I'm sure he'll ask what I spent $300 on with Disney. I think he'll be pleased - I hope he will.

Wow, what an upgrade!!!!!!! Congrats.

You and your friends are in our prayers. The loss of a child is so hard. :grouphug:

That's so very sad for the family and all their friends. I can't imagine.

Congrats on the upgrade. I wish they would call me. :rolleyes1

Oh NO! I did not mean for that emoticon to be in front of the paragraph about Jack - I'm horrified! OMG, I'm really embarrassed about that.

I actually didn't notice it - there are so many flashing and moving things on these pages.... It's so easy to mistakenly click on a smiley and not notice that it's there until posted. Don't give it another thought.

I cannot begin to imagine the pain that family must be feeling, as well as that of all their dear friends and neighbors. It is just too much. Sure makes me want to grab hold of my two and hug 'em hard.

Happy for you re: the upgrade. After the week you've had you really needed something nice to happen.

Hey -

Noahsmom - do you knwo what number they left on the machine? I ask because I got a weird call that left a number, adn I deleted it because I thought it was a sales call, but now I am thinking maybe it was Disney with a possible upgrade. EEK!! If you have the number, I might be able to tell if that was the one!

Kelli,
Do you, or was it someone else, want the diagrams of the ship, if I can figure out how to get them on the site. I was going to wait until it got closed so that as many cabins as possible would be highlighted. Just let me know.

Thanks for all you are doing and if there is anything I can do to make things easier just let me know

It was just the regular DCL reservation number. Give them a call, all I had to do was give my confirmation number and the information was in the computer for the CM that answered. Good Luck!

Someone had asked about a highlighted diagram and I thought one had been posted but I couldn't see it. No worries - things change so quickly with the FE list it will be hard to highlight room numbers until the very end. I'm in a GTY cabin now due to the upgrade.

My parents are going on the cruise with us. Is there a way to get to The Baths beach without climbing thru the rocks? I'm afraid it will be too rigorous for them but I would like them to be able to see it and enjoy the beach. Should we just skip it?

We just took the dirt path down to the beach which was as challenging as walking in a crowded mall. From there, they can enter the Baths and go as far as they feel like, or simply head back to the beach. We never made it all the way through, but we don't feel like we missed anything. A great photo op is just inside the baths entrance so no matter your ability, you can get a good picture. >>

I asked this question on another thread and this is what I found out. Many people I've spoken to are afraid to go to the Baths due to the uneven footing but apparently there's another way to get to the beach.

<<We just did the Baths on our own. We used Patouche. The description on their website is different than what we did, but it was great. There were 28 people from the Magic on this excursion. We took a cab to the dock at east end. About 15 min. Instead of being a powerboat ride, were put onto 2 sailboats. We got there and had a guided tour of the trail and then about 45 minutes in the water. Wish it were longer. Also, we were under sail on the way back and it took longer than expected. It was 2pm before we were back in Road Town. Tortola is very laid back, and getting back late was not surprising. I would definitely use Patouche again. >>

Another review I just read............

That is great. Aren't most cabins assigned around the 30 day mark?

GTY cabin....haven't heard a thing, in fact, in all the 8 or 9 cruises, have never, EVER been offered an upgrade - congrats on that!:woohoo::woohoo:

My best news of the day:
School is officially over for Tyler today (except for laptop return tomorrow) - he asked me today what I will be "nagging" him about now (that I don't need to get 'on him' about homework/finals) - I told him I have LISTS of things:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

School isn't officially over for the kids - they have their last set of finals today with a 1/2 day tomorrow (yearbook signing, talent show) But, I was officially done when they walked out the door at 8:00 this morning, too - no more school related nagging!!! :lmao: Required summer reading not included...

Lauren still has 2 more days - finals.... gotta love the snow....

We lucked out with Ike - the state forgave some days and the rest were made up through eliminating "minor" holidays and 1/2 days. :cool1:
